"Leave them alone now." Mito said.
Duero and Parfait were very confused.
"What... what happens now?" Parfait asked.
"Erm... I don't know." Duero replied.
Nearby, Mito talked to Ditta, Hibiki and Pai.
"Hey, why wouldn't you let us watch that?" Ditta asked.
"Sex is a private thing. People shouldn't be watching it." Mito said. "Although I have to admit that I thought the doctor was nowhere near ready for it."
"Well, you talked about it; it's your fault for getting them curious." Pai noted.

The others were horrified at this.
"You mean... sex leads to pregnancy?" Dita asked.
"Yea. I should have told you earlier. I'm sorry I didn't." Mito said.
"She's gonna kick your ass when she finds this out." Pai said.

Mito was outside the infirmary. He was very nervous.
"Doctor, Parfait, I have to tell you something." Mito said.
Now dressed, they opened the door. Mito sweatdropped.
"What is it?" Duero asked.
"Well, I left out an important detail about sex. You see... well... there's a chance she could become pregnant." Mito said.
The doctor and Parfait were too stunned to respond.
"Pregnant? But I thought the only way to get pregnant was through the omai process." Parfait said.

"So are there any signs of being pregnant?" Parfait asked.

"I'm curious about one thing, though. If she does get pregnant, will the offspring be a boy or a girl?" Duero asked.

Two weeks later, the Nirvana arrived at the asteroid belt just outside our galaxy. Waiting for them were three mother ships, poised to attack. The vans and dreads were scrambled and launched.
Unlike before, these were the latest things Earth had to offer. The vans and dreads stood no chance against them. Mito and Meia quickly combined as did Ditta and Hibiki. The Vandreads had some luck, but only with the small, unmanned drones. They decided to combine the Vandreads into one large super Vandread. This larger spacecraft had more luck, and managed to knock one of the motherships into another before being knocked apart. Hibiki, Ditta, Meia and Mito screamed in pain as they were forcefully separated by a blast from the third earth mothership.
"Damn! They managed to separate us!" Meia said.
"How the hell did they do that!?" Hibiki asked.
"Can we try reforming?" Mito asked.
"It looks like I can." Meia said.
The two of them joined up together, but were surrounded by drones. This, however, allowed Ditta and Hibiki to reform. The two of them managed to reduce the number of drones a bit before returning to the super Vandread form. This form managed to destroy the final mothership.
Arriving home, everyone reported to the captain. The seemed to be no other resistance until they would get to earth. Thus, the Nirvana went unchallenged towards the Earth.
"I can't help think that this is a trap." BC said.
"I agree, but we did vote to come here." The captain replied.
The earth looked like a metal ball hanging in the sky, orbiting the sun. Here and there were holes where the surface could be seen. It looked stormy and inhospitable.
"That's ... earth?" Bart asked, seeing this on a monitor.
"This is weird. I show no life signs." Ezra said as she scanned the place.
A harvester ship appeared and went towards Earth. It wanted to land on the surface through one of the holes, but before it got there, the ship was struck by lightning and exploded.
"Whoa..." Bart said as he steered the Nirvana away from the explosion.
"Send a squad to the metal hull covering the planet." The captain ordered.
"Aye aye, captain." Ezra responded.
Among the selected were Hibiki, Ditta, Meia, Jura, Duero, Parfait, Mito and Gascone. They were outfitted with rubber suits.
"Why do we need this?" Hibiki asked.
"The metal part has an estimated 25,000,000 kilowatts of power coursing through all parts of it. Step out of the protective suit and you'll be fried man." Gascone said.
"Oh, o.k." Hibiki said.
They went in a shuttle that Meia and Mito piloted.
"We can't land directly on the surface. We'll have to hover at about six inches while you disembark. It's going to be dangerous. Mito and I will have to stay here." Meia said.
"We can handle it." Mito said.
"We'll see what's going on now." Hibiki said.
They came close and exited the ship. After finding an air lock, they went inside. The place was brightly lit by all the energy passing through it. The team made its way down a corridor and to a control room. They saw a tape playing in a continuous loop. The young blonde male there looked an unshaven mess.
"To those of you who find this, welcome. We of Earth hope you will rebuild this place. Many years ago, we humans sent out ships to colonize other worlds. A few years later, Earth began to die. We had ruined the planet through pollution and ignorance. However, Earth can heal itself. Our scientists estimate that it will take 15,000 years to heal itself. Once that happens, we will send out ships asking people to return to the home of their ancestors. We are glad that you have answered this call. It is a completely new planet - please don't repeat our mistakes. Take care of it." The man said over and over.
"This is the reason so many people died!? A malfunctioning computer!? Hibiki said in anger.
"It would seem so. Shutting it off is impossible, so we'll have to destroy it from the Nirvana." Duero said.
"Damn it! This isn't fair! There should have been someone here!" Hibiki shouted.
"Come on, let's go. You can fire the shot that destroys this place." Ditta said.
They went back to the shuttle and then to the Nirvana. Hibiki was given the duty of shooting down the computer, which he did. After he finished, he went to Ditta's room where she was waiting for him. "That is a letdown. However, we owe the Nirvana and its crew a debt of gratitude." The grand Pa said. They had a small parade on Tarek and a celebration on Mejia for this. Duero and Parfait also announced that she was pregnant by him and the girl would be named Hope. People seemed stunned at first, and a few protested this, but that didn't last long.
Shortly after Hope was born, the crew of the Nirvana was out again. They wanted to contact other worlds, and let them know what had happened to earth.
