Chapter 02: A possible friend?
Lily ran back through the woods and tripped a few times. All of a sudden she hit a body and the wolf stopped and started to back away. You could tell the fear in his eyes. The wolf ran from the two bodies. Lily looked at the man who really saved her life. The man was wearing sun glasses and was clad in red. Lily thought to herself that her savior was quite the lovely looking man.
“Oh my God, I am so sorry.” Lily said getting up off the ground.
“It’s quite alright miss. I believe this is yours by the way.” The man said lifting the bag into her view. He handed it to her.
“Thank you.” Lily told the man as she took the bag from him.
“Not a problem, but what are you doing out here so late?” The man asked curiously.
“I actually got chased out here.” Lily said hugging her arms.
The man in red took notice of her current condition of being cold and took his coat off and he handed it to her, allowing her to use it. She gladly took it and wrapped it around her body.
“I suppose you’re away from your hotel yes?” The man asked
“I am.” She answered truthfully.
“Would you like to come back with me? It’s a long way back otherwise.” He offered.
“You don’t mind? I don’t want to intrude.” Lily stated to the strange man.
“Nonsense, come with me.” The man replied.
“Okay then.” Lily said with a smile on her face. “By the way my name is Lily McFee.”
“Alright American, You may call me Alucard.”
‘Odd, He reminds me of the vampire in the manga.’ She thought to herself.
Alucard cocked his eye brow at the mental comment and then he made a smirk the trade mark smirk.
“I have a question, Alucard.” The girl said.
“I have an answer young American.” Alucard said grinning but careful not to show his fangs.
“Why do you wear sunglasses at night?” She asked
“I have my reasons.” Alucard answered.
The two walked up to the castle and Lily got the eerie feeling again. Alucard noticed said feeling and stopped as well.
“Anything wrong?” He asked.
“You live here?”
“Yes actually, I do.”
“Oh.” Lily said with an odd look on her face.
“Is there a problem with my place?”
“Oh no, it’s just that your place is kind of creepy.” Lily said without thinking of what she was saying.
Alucard chuckled at the comment.
“Oops, sorry, I didn’t mean…” She was cut off
“No you ment it. Or you would not have said it at all.” Alucard said walking to the door.
Alucard opened the door inviting the American girl in the home. Lily walked into the home and felt the eeriness overcome her senses. Alucard walked to the kitchen and got a bowl of hot soup and a bottle of blood. Lily had found an empty chair at a table and sat down on the seat. Alucard walked into the room and sat down across from her giving her a bowl of soup and he grabbed a cup and poured a glass of the red liquid.
“It’s not much, but it is better than nothing.” Alucard said.
“Its okay.” Lily answered him. “This is random but you remind me of a character in a book called Hellsing. His name was Alucard as well.”
“Oh really? Do you have this book with you?” He asked
“I have one.” She said as she pulled it out. She handed the book over to Alucard.
“This is very interesting, very interesting indeed.” He said. “When was it written?”
“I think about maybe 30 or 40 years ago.”
Alucard flipped through the book and started to take everything in. He looked at her with a grin on his face.
“Fan of vampires, American?” He asked interested in her answer.
“Well I would say so. I have always wanted my knight with fangs and powers that I don’t have. I have also fancied the tall, dark, and ancient.” Lily explained.
“Do you want to know why I wear these glasses still?” He asked
“Yes, yes I do.”
“Oh my God, I am so sorry.” Lily said getting up off the ground.
