He was once again in the bathroom. Throwing his guts up for seemingly no apparant reason. Only, there was a reason. A huge reason in fact.... He was pregnant! Syaoran moaned loudly as he lay back against the wall. Eye's closed, he waited for the dizzy spell to fade, and for his stomach to re-arrange itself. It had been two weeks since he hasd found out about the pregnancy, and he was almost sure that he wasn't supposed to have morning sickness yet.
Yet, Eriol - the smarmy git - insisted that it was natural to have morning sickness at the beginning of a pregnancy. And Syaoran, our dear brunette, replied by telling him to go to hell. What an interesting day that had been.
Slowly regaining his footing, Syaoran made his way towards the kitchen area of his apartment. Rooting through the cuboards, he finally settled on egg on toast, with brown sauce, and three pieces of bacon. Not his traditional breakfast, but his stomach was choosing his meals now.
//--------//
Syaoran resettled into the chair at Eriol's mansion, where Sakura and Tomoyo were going over baby manuals - how there can be manuals on babies, Syaoran didn't know - and were trying to figure out what to do to prepare for the childs arrival.
"Oh! This looks soooo cute!!!" Tomoyo gushed over pictures of baby girls in pink, flowery outfits.
"I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times with you, Tomoyo, I'm not having my baby wear pink - even if it is a girl," Syaoran intercepted, as the amethyst eyed girl pouted. Sakura giggled.
"Have you thought about any names, yet?" Sakura asked, looking at the booklet in her lap.
"Not yet. But I have some in mind. Hey, Eriol? Can I raid your kitchen, please?" the brunette inquired. The older boy nodded, and his eyes lingered as he watched Syaoran move into the next room.
"Is it just me, or is Syaoran eating alot more than usual?" Eriol asked the girls, his eyes still focused on the doorway.
"I know. Thats.. kinda why I.. er... asked to come here. He was raiding us out of food at my place!" Sakura defended herself, as the two stared at her. "He's eating strangely, too. Yesterday when we were studying, he ate chips covered in breadcrumbs and melted chocolate," she said.
"Really?" Tomoyo asked surprised. Sakura nodded.
"It's not uncommon for pregnant people to have strange eating habits. Not to mention double the amount that they eat," Eriol answered.
"He *is* eating for two, now I suppose," Tomoyo noted.
"Hmmm. Maybe I *should* ask..."
"Ask what?" Syaoran said, re-entering the room with a plate of sushi, micro-chips and a battered-covered marsbar. Sitting next to Eriol, he placed one of his hands over his stomach before digging into the food.
"Syaoran... I think you should stay here.. with me," Eriol asked, waiting for the inevitable answer.
"Why?"
"What?" Eriol asked. The question had been asked so gently, that Eriol had been sure that he had missed the acctual question.
"Well, you keep asking, and I've been giving the same answer. But only because you've not given me a good enough reason," Syaoran informed the three of them. Sakura and Tomoyo watched the encounter silently.
"*Sigh* Well, your living alone now. Your eating yourself and Sakura out of food - where I could provide it more than freely - and your Clan aren't going to be too happy with you *if* you finally tell them about your condition."
Syaoran looked away, cheeks reddening slightly in embarassment for the last statement. It wasn't that he was scared to tell his family what had occured - the fact that he as already going to have an heir was a good enough argument to keep the Clan calm - it was more of what his mother and sisters would do - more likely take over the the whole situation - that scared him.
"Well..." He began, thinking over the offer. "I can defend myself, Eriol. And I don't need help with everything...."
"I know. I'm not saying that I'm going to control you, Syaoran. Just that you can get things that you need, *and* I'm a trainnie doctor. I can help out in medical situations. I want to help, but I know that you're your own person."
"Well.... Oh, fine!" Syaoran gave in. Eriol grinned.
