Tears leaked free from her open eyes leaving a trial of wetness down her pale cheeks.
“Set…suna…” Kurai utters faintly her heart beating a little bit harder in chest. Out of all the people to find her like this it had to be him. He really is her prince.
“It’s okay.” Setsuna’s voice is calm, steady most of all soothing to her ears. With uncertainty Setsuna gently he reaches around her back. He feels her flinch under his touch; her body still in shock, the memory of Astoreth imprinted on her marred flesh as he straightens her upward as best as he could. “Relax.” Setsuna coos trying to be mindful of what befell the girl just a few moments ago.
He leans her body against his own, the jean he placed on her acting as a shield to protect her body from his own. There is no doubt in his mind that she cannot stand.
“You need a doctor.”
Kurai shakes her head hard.
“No,” she moans.
If I tell… he’ll come back.
She squeezes her eyes shut.
If only she could tell him.
They both knew that if he brought her to a hospital questions would be asked.
Questions that neither of them wanted to answer.
“Here.” Stripping the shirt from his body, Setsuna folds it over making an pillow for Kurai’s head. He guides her body downwards setting her head carefully onto the make shift pillow.
Don’t leave me. Her eyes pleaded to him since she couldn’t will her mouth to speak.
“I have to get you some help.” Setsuna explains adding quickly, “I have an friend who can help.”
I wish I owned a phone. This would be easier if I did. Setsuna thought to himself as he ran through the hole that lead out of the building.
The nearest phone he knew of was an emergency phone stationed on the highway. Luckily the street is deserted making his sprint across a cake walk.
What if he comes back?
Setsuna wondered.
No, he left her for dead.
Reaching the yellow box, Setsuna snatches the phone from it’s cradle quickly dialing the only number he knew by heart: His sister\'s boyfriend\'s house.

Beady eyes glinted red in the distance. Drawn by the scent of blood several rats have gathered and now watched Kurai with interest. They were unsure if she would fight them but the bolder of the trio had decided to test the waters.
Scurrying across the floor the rat stops at Kurai’s foot. His dry nose brushing against the fabric of her sock as it judges rather or not they could attack. Unsure the rat places it’s paws on Kurai’s foot
Although she couldn’t see them, Kurai felt the rodents’ presence. Sharp nails scratched against her skin as rat climbed over her foot.
Move!
Kurai’s brain shouted.
Her legs were as lead making it impossible to shake the rat from her leg.
Seeing that she is unable the others rush forward.
Her scream is caught in her throat as their sharp teeth sank into her flesh.
Fresh blood scents the air.
The pain of their teeth gnarling into soft flesh brings garbled screams from her lips.
Setsuna please hurry. Kurai sliently prays
````
I should go back.
Setsuna had already rattled off his location hoping that Raphael could find the old building.
The girl might need me.
He goes into a sprint glad that he had taken some time out to catch his breath before hand.
The scene that greeted Setsuna once he reentered the large room is almost too sickening to describe.
The rats, the size of kittens covered her slack legs their teeth and nails tearing away at her as they feasted.
Picking up a piece of old wood Setsuna swung at the miniture beasts. Shrill shrieks of pain torn from their snouts with every blow. He swung until he injured one enough to entice the others. With one of them down the others turned their stomachs elsewhere.
“I’m sorry.” Setsuna moves for her, his knees pressing into the hard ground as he lifts her head slightly so that he could tear strips from the shirt he given her as a pillow so that he could wrap her shins and ankles with them. He works quickly hoping that his doctor friend would make it.
The good doctor is actually his younger sister’s boyfriend although he didn’t approve of their massive age different he needed his services tonight.
“I’m sorry.” Setsuna says again. He returns to her side, placing her once again against him.
Using the wall, Setsuna pushes himself to his feet dragging Kurai\'s body up with him. A whimper escapes her lips.
"You can\'t stay here." Setsuna\'s voice is apologetic.
Being as careful as he could Setsuna drags Kurai\'s body from the building.
“What is it now?” Sara snaps as she draws the sheet closer to her naked body. Raphael stands with his back to her as he slips into a pair of tailored slacks. The pair are in his ritzy apartment. Earilier the pretty blonde doctor had picked Sara up from school bringing her there. They had dined on sushi and streak before making love on four hundred dollar eyptian sheets.
“I think your brother’s in trouble again.” Raphael explains briefly as he fastens his jeans. H doesn’t even bother to throw on a shirt as he heads for the door. Instead he throws on his suit jacket which had been carelessly thrown onto one of the posh leather couches hours before.
Curious, Sara removes herself from bed. She bends down to pick up the pieces to her uniform.
“Raphy wait.” She pouts stepping into her skirt. “If big brother is hurt I should be there.”
Rapheal takes a cigarette from the golden case he keeps in his pocket. He then places it between his lips inhaling as he lights up.
“H told me to bring a rape kit.” Rapheal says offhandedly.
Rape kit?
Sara Sara makes a face.
What did you do?
She wonders quietly as she sits in the passenger side seat moments later. Rapheal’s medicial bag resting at her feet, a change of clothes sitting in her lap. Her eyes stared out onto the dark road watching for the abandon building she knew so well. She and her brother used to run away there when their parents would fight and to her understanding Setsuna slept there more then he slept in his apartment.
“There!“ Sara shouted pointing a pale pink finger tip at the building.
Raphael came off the ramp heading into the parking lot.
“Help’s here now.” Setsuna whispers against Kurai’s stiff tresses. His eyes had watched the car from it’s trek off the road into the parking lot. During the wait he had managed to lift Kurai into his arms carrying her bruised body with the utmost care.
Kurai’s head lolled against his shoulder, her breathing light and warm on his bare skin. Her mind had tried to stray from the present but Setsuna’s voice stayed with her making promises of what sounded like an date.
Did he even know who she was?
The entire time he had yet to call her by name. Or had Astoreth made her unrecognizable?
Fresh tears trickle from her eyes.
“OH dear God!” Sara cries out at the sight of her schoolmate. With bags in hand she and Raphael moved for them.
“Do you know her?” Raphael asks Sara as they drew nearer.
Sara shakes her blonde head.
“I go to schoool with her.” Sara answers.
Raphael steps forwards shinning his pen light into her eyes.
“How long ago did you find her?” Raphael asks, eyes taking in the sight that is Kurai.
“Two and half hours ago.” Setsuna replies.
“What happened?” Sara is crying, her heart going out for the once lively girl that is her classmate.
“Dunno, she can’t talk.” Setsuna’s voice is soft.
Raphael’s frowns.
“I need to take her in.”
Kurai’s eyes grew wide. She starts to shake.
“She’s scared.” Setsuna strokes what skin he can reach of hers carefully.
Surprisingly she begins to calm down.
“Her name is Kurai.” Sara offers sniffling through her tears.
Kurai….
Setsuna replays the name in his mind.
An angel’s smile and a girlish giggle comes to mind.
Two girls both dark are standing by the gate to his school. The shorter smiles and blushes as she says, “Hey Setsuna!”
Such a sweet girl.
Such a horrible crime.
“Just tell me who…” He rasps low in his throat.
