Torn

The boys remained outside while Mia went back inside to keep an eye on the girl and start on dinner. Sage was still staring off into the distance when Ryo sat down beside him.
"What's wrong?" he asked crossing his arms on his knees and leaning on them.
Sge sighed and ran a hand into his hair."It's-I think that girl in the spareroom is Jennifer and if it is then I...I don't know. I feel like I broke a promise to her." he said.Ryo looked confused for a minute."Did you make a promise to her?" he asked.
Sage shrugged "I think I did, but it's been so long that I don't remember at all. Maybe I did with my sister." he said.
Ryo looked out to the lake and then looked back at Sage."If it is Jennifer then...maybe all of us can make a promise to her to protect her.To make sure this doesn't happen to her again." He said.
Sage gave a small smile and nodded then looked behind him to see if the guys were looking then looked back at Ryo and gave him a chaste kiss. Ryo raised an eyebrow. "What was that for? Not that I'm complaining." he said. Sage gave a small laugh. "Because I wanted to." he answered. Ryo smiled then laid his head on Sage's shoulder and continued to look at the lake in silence. A few minutes later Ryo felt Sage lay his head on top of his. "She'll be okay." he whispered. Sage sighed. "GUYS! SHE'S WAKING UP!" they heard mia shout. They all ran to the room and Sage walked in first. He knelt next to her head. Her eye fluttered open and looked straight at Sage.
"Sage? Is that you?" she asked.He nodded."This isn't a dream is it?" she asked. He laughed lightly."No,it's not a dream Jennifer.How are you feeling?"he asked. Jennifer sat up slowly and Sage sat at the edge of the bed. She looked up at him and frowned in confusion."I'm not in pain anymore.What did you do?" she asked.
"He healed your wounds and sealed them." Ryo said from behind Sage. Jennifer looked up at him. "Who are you?" she asked then she noticed everyone and backed away. Sage placed a hand on her shoulder but withdrew when she flinched."Gomene Sage-kun." she said. "It's okay Jennifer and these are my friends. This is Ryo, who also happens to be my boyfriend, behind him is Cye,Rowen,Kanto and Mia." Sage said trying to reassure the girl. Ryo slowly walked to Sage's side. "We're not going to hurt you Jennifer.We just want to know who did this to you." he said softly while motioning the others outside the room leaving him,Sage and Jennifer alone. Jennifer seemed to relax a little when it was just her,Sage and Ryo. "It happened a few months ago. He just came out of nowhere. He imprisoned us all and...he...he loved to see our pain it just made him torture us more.I tried many times to escape but I kept getting caught and as my punishment he would whip me until I fell unconscoius. I would wake up later in my cell and someone had already bandaged my wounds. I found out later it was an old friend.Do you remember Sam, Sage?" She asked n the middle of her explaining. Sage nodded."Yeah I remember him.He used to follow you around alot." he said. Jennifer nodded."He was the one to treat my wounds even though he became one of HIS guards, of course he didn't have much of a choice none of the boys did...Anyway..ummm...I tried to escape again a few nights ago and one of his guards caught me before I reached the barrier that he sent around the city.I was gone for a total of 3 days. When I was sent in front of him he gave me my usual punishment but decided to stop before I passed out and decided to punish my parents. Instead of keeping my mouth shut I shouted at him to stop and he...he.." she stopped as tears streamed down her face. Before Sage could comfort her Ryo sat next to her and gave her a one arm hug and rubbed her arm as he whispered in her ear. She continued to cry as Ryo comforted her while looking at Sage. Sage had fury in his eyes but it wasn't directed at Ryo or Jennifer it was directed at the person who caused her so much pain. Ryo gasped when Jennifer whispered the last in his ear as well as the name of the person who did this to her. Sage looked up at his boyfriend confused. Ryo signals to him and turns back to Jennifer. "Jennifer...We're going to step outside for a moment and I going to send Mia in...Don't worry she'll just come in to give you some clean clothes so you can freshen up.Is that okay?' he asked her. Jennifer looked at him with her red eyes and nodded. He released her and stood up and nudged Sage to follow. Sage took one last look at Jennifer then stepped out of the room. Ryo was talking to Mia when he stepped into the hall. Mia nodded and went to retrieve the clothes. Ryo sighed and leaned agaisnt the wall in exhastion. Sage walked over to him and noticed Ryo had tears going down his face.
"What did she tell you?" Sage asked wiping the tears off his boyfriend's face. "It was Sekeman that did this to her Sage.The bastard!He killed her family right in front of her the only reason why she got out was that Sam guy telling her to run. He told her to come here of course she doesn't know that we are the ones he told her to find. Dammit!" He said frustrated. Sage looked shocked. "But that's not possible. He and the other lords helped us. Why would he go evil like that?" he asked. Ryo shook his head. "I don't know but he's going to pay for what he did to Jennifer. I meant what I said earilier Sage." He said. Sage nodded and pulled Ryo into a bone-crushin hug. " I know you did babe.I'll be right there to help you." he whispered into Ryo's ear. "Arigato." He added. Ryo pulled back looking confused. "What for?" He asked. Sage looked at Ryo.
"You helped her. You made her feel comfortable around you to where she could talk to you." he said. Ryo blushed and looked away. Sage chuckled and pulled Ryo forward and gave him a kiss, which Ryo deepened by turning his head and licked Sage's bottom lip to seek entrance,which Sage gave him.Ryo explored the hot, wet cavern of his boyfriend's mouth then let Sage do the same thing to his. They pulled apart when air became an issue. They both let their forehead touch while they got their breath back. "Come on. We have to tell the others what she said...at least Cye,Rowen,and Kanto." Ryo said. Sage nodded and followed Ryo downstairs to tell th others.
