Seras stopped for a moment, trying to regain some of her energy and pulled out a blood pack. She bit off the closed end of the tube and drank deeply. The metallic liquid instantly replenished her strength and warmth spread across her body as the blood settled in her stomach. She put the half finished blood pack in her pack and reloaded Harkonnen with a silver explosive shell cartridge case.
Seras then pushed forward through the thick unnatural fog. She was beginning to think that it wasn’t a freak that she was up against but a rather strong vampire, not as strong as Alucard, but stronger than she was. The ghouls were not natural unnatural ghouls either, they seemed to be genetically altered to be stronger than normal. Seras sighed as she felt the presence of more mutated ghouls and she readied Harkonnen to blast the monsters to hell.
She was finally out of her hell hole in Hellsing and now she had to deal with this shit. She was sick and tired of getting the short end of the stick. Now was the time to show her master and Sir Integra what she could do. She supposed it was time to use her powers instead of rely on Harkonnen. She put the large gun back behind her and concentrated for a moment.
Within a few seconds she could sense and pinpoint the exact locations of all 20 of the ghouls she was up against. She opened her eyes only to show that they were a deep magenta instead of the usual blue. She smiled a little at the power she felt coursing through her veins. A crimson aura started to surround her body, as she stepped forward, following the movements of the first ghoul in front of her.
She knew her master would be proud of her because she was enjoying the hunt. She had started to enjoy it, finally, after realizing that she could keep her humanity part of her, even if she turned into a No Life Queen. Seras saw through the thick fog and saw the unnatural step of the ghoul. She ran forward quickly and out her hand through the monsters chest. She smiled as she heard the growl of the other ghouls.
Seras pulled together her power and sent out a wave of it to throw off the creatures around her. She then found and side stepped to a large group of the ghouls. She side stepped behind them and then stabbed through two with her hands. The other three turned around and stepped straight towards her. She stabbed the two on the outside but then missed the middle one. It ducked under her attacks and then came in a full frontal assault.
Seras could tell that this specific ghoul was most likely the leader of the group. He ws must stronger and faster than most of the others. He was also more intelligent. How in the hell these ghouls had intelligence, Seras had no idea but she came out of her thoughts, narrowly avoiding a blow to her middle. She watched with wide eyes as the leader reached into its body and pulled out a sword.
Seras smiled, finally a real fight, on to her standards. She was still stronger than the ghoul but she could not be irrigant towards the creatures. The ghoul swung the sword in a downward arch and Seras stepped to the right. What she didn’t notice was the ghoul right behind her. It caught her from behind just as the leader sideswiped and caught her with shallow injury to the side.
She was pissed by this point and growled at the creatures. She turned and stabbed through the one behind her and then face the leader. “Enough of this bullshit!” She shouted as she charged the leader full force. She pushed against its torso and then threw the creature to the ground. Seras took the sword with her blood on it and plunged it into the creatures heart. The creature screamed and then reverted to dust.
Seras had obviously come to figure out that the ghouls she faced actually had intelligent thought, even if it was minimal, expect for the leader, he was more intelligent than the rest.. They angered easily at the loss of one of their own. Seras quickly turned again as she felt three ghouls try to take her from behind. She used the aura around her to create a kind of blade with her hand. She blocked the unsuccessful hits of the ghouls and sliced through all three. As the three turned to dust, Seras felt the presence of another, but it wasn’t a ghoul.
She shivered as she felt the power role off the creature. It proceeded towards her and that’s when her senses went into high alert. She pinpointed the location of the other ghouls and then turned. She phased out quickly to come up behind the creatures and then started to run. She knew this was something she could not defeat on her own. The creature following behind her had a power level almost equal to that of Alexander Anderson. He had kicked her as quite a few times and Seras was not in the mood to be confined to her room for another three months.
Seras could no longer feel the power of the creature but she knew she wasn’t safe. She grabbed the radio from the pocket in the back of her uniform and pulled it out. It was covered with a massive amount of blood that had first poured from her body when she was slashed with the sword. The wound had healed but not without leaving her weakened from blood loss. She couldn’t find her half empty blood pack either. She must have dropped it and her other rations as well.
Seras pressed both buttons on the radio as she contouined to run towards an abandoned building. Something was telling her that she would be safe for a while there but something was also telling her to avoid it. She needed a place to change and have a safe meal. Seras knew that Hellsing had dropped off an extra box of weapons and rations near where she had first entered, which was right beside the mysterious building.
“Hellsing come in, this is Seras Victoria.” She stopped for a second to rest and then pressed the radio again. “Hellsing come in, this is Seras Victoria.”
“Seras Victoria this is Hellsing.” The other end responded finally. Seras yelled into the radio as she felt the presence of the creature again. “I’m reporting from my mission, there are complications and another freak has shown up. It’s more than I can handle, I need reinforcements.”
“Reinforcements won’t be available until 2400 hours.” The other end responded again. Seras sighed in anger and also relief that she wouldn’t have to handle this alone. He then pressed the buttons to respond and didn’t feel the presence of the creature just a few feet behind her.
“Send them when you can. This is Seras,” Just as Seras was about to end the transmission, the creature grabbed her from behind. She screamed into the end of the radio and struggled with the creature. It tore Harkonnen and her pack from her back and threw them to the ground. She struggled more and dropped the radio. The transmission contunied until all was silent on her end.
The creature had torn the neck of her uniform and bitten into her neck, draining her quickly but not enough to kill her. It intentions were different from killing her. It wanted her to live, live and suffer. It dropped her weak body to the ground and picked up the radio. “This is the true end of everything you hold dear Master Drake. It will be a pleasure to torture you.” The creatures raspy voice said over the radio and then it dropped the radio to the ground.
With a step of its foot, it crushed the radio and a screeching noise was heard on the other end. The creature picked up Seras and her weapons, throwing her over its shoulder. The creature turned as the ghouls followed it towards the abandoned building. Seras would never be the same.
A/N: Wow that didn’t take me long at all and I’m happy. I was able to get it out on a Friday too. I’ll probably have another chapter out tomorrow cause I’m so bored with school right now. Seras: Jazzy I hate you. SO MUCH
Me: Oh quit the whining, you’ll be fine, after a while.
Alucard: Who is this man and who is Master Drake.
