Scorpinac: Nope not a prelude to Heroes Saga. This is its own little universe. Remember, this will be slightly out of order and might not even resemble what you or any of my readers remember. You may feel free to yell at me if I get the spell wrong in this part.

Behind a bush in the back yard of the Avalon's house, a card lies on the ground slowly feeding the plant life around it. It was taking in the sunlight and the rain it had gotten ever since Windy blew it out here. Soon, it would turn the entire city into its person garden.

Sakura slowly skates home. She sighs to herself trying to understand why she had been chosen for the task of capturing the cards. She then gets that familiar feeling again and realizes what was going on.
'Oh no! There's a card at my house!' Sakura panics in her mind and picks up her pace in order to get there before it did too much damage.

"Well, it looks like we've got a lean group taking the entrance exam this afternoon." Mr. Terada says smiling at the three boys in the room. "Now, this isn't a timed test so take your time and make sure to answer all questions to the best of your abilities. Unfortunately it might take a week or two to get back the results due to the influx of students wanting to attend this school." he explains passing out the tests and answer keys.
'Is that a card I'm feeling?' Lee thinks. 'Damn it, I hope whoever is capturing them knows what they are doing.' Lee thinks and tries to clear his mind of what he was sensing.

"Gaah!" Sakura shouts seeing the jungle that her backyard had become.
"Sakura!" Kero shouts flying over to her.
"Kero, what happened here!?"
"It's the work of the wood card. It can create enough plant life to turn backyard gardens into jungles."
"What do we do?"
"We've got to get to the heard of the jungle where the card is and capture it."
"I haven't even actually captured one of these cards, Kero!" she exclaims. I don't know how to even use this stupid key you gave me."
"Don't worry, when the time is right the words will come to you. Now, let's go get the Wood Card before it turns the entire city from a concrete jungle to a real jungle." Kero says and the two enter the thick jungle that the card had created.

"Whoa," Madison says in awe seeing the work of the wood card in Sakura's backyard. Hitting the record button on her camera, she plunges into the dense jungle in hopes to film her first capture.

"Is that the card?" Sakura asks Kero as the pair enter the heart of the jungle. The two had come upon a small mossy green and yellow wood nymph around 8 inches high. She has long green leaf-like hair with vines and wears a tiara made of leaves.
"That is her true form, but don't let her appearance fool you. She can change into any plant life she wants to. You better summon the sealing wand and use Windy against it."
"But I don't know if I can even summon it, Kero." Sakura shoots back taking the necklace off.
"Just Concentrate the words will come to you." Kero instructs. The card was gentle, but it knew what these two were here for. they wanted to return it to the book. Wood wouldn't go without some struggle. The card begins to ready an attack, but she card stops.
"Oh key of Clow, power of magic, power of light, surrender the wand, the force ignite, release!"

'Huh? What was that?" Lee thinks pausing for a moment as he felt that. Whoever was facing the card had just either activated a card, or summoned the sealing wand. 'Beginner's luck.' Lee thinks and returns to the test before the teacher noticed that he was distracted.

"Windy! Release and dispel!" Sakura calls out. The card lashes out at Wood wrapping its winds around it. Wood tries to struggle, but it knew that it was caught. "Wood card, I command you to return to your power confined, Wood card!" she cries and the staff seals the Wood card and it flies into he hands.
"That was awesome!" Madison shouts from behind Sakura.
"You see, you're a natural, champ." Kero says smiling as Sakura signs her name on the card.
"Maybe, but I don't think they'll get any easier." Sakura retorts.
"You'll be able to handle it." Kero says once confident in his candidate to recapture the cards.

"Well, that wasn't so difficult. Although, there were several mistakes in the science section of that test." one of the two other boys that had taken the test states. He was a thinly built kid with glasses and messes hair.
"How could you tell?" a second blond boy asks. He had blue eyes and his accent denoted to the one in glasses that he was natively from Europe.
"I'm the son of a scientist. If I couldn't spot those simple mistakes then I shouldn't be my dad's assistant."
"Ah, a super genius at the end of a line of super geniuses?" the blond asks.
"I'm not sure about my grandfather on either side of my family, but myself and my dad are the brightest of the Karthing line. I'm Josh by the way." Josh states blushing realizing that he hadn't properly introduced himself.
"I'm Wulf," the blond replies. "I would think that your father would rather teach you himself."
"At first he did, but then he realized that I needed as he put it 'social training'. I'm still a little awkward though." Josh adds.
'I can't sense that card anymore. C'mon, Mr. Terada, I don't really want to be here much longer. What are waiting on anyway?' Lee thinks.
"So, who joined us for this lovely standardized test?" Wulf asks Lee who was brought out of his unexpectedly by the question.
"Uh, I'm Lee," Lee answers caught off guard.
"Alright you three, I've turned your tests, now follow me and I'll lead you out." Mr. Terada states.
'Hmmm, if it was a coincidence that we met, then we won't see each other again, but if it wasn't then we'll be seeing more of each other. I'm not a seer like some members of my family, but they had to see something if I'm supposed to be here.' Wulf thinks as he, Josh and Lee are led out of the school.
