Chapter three: Awkward Silence

Author’s note: Well everyone you’re in for a surprise.

Tohma awoke dazedly in his bed, looking down he cursed him self for having so little control. His sheets were soiled with sweat and seed.
‘What is wrong with me,’ he mentally berated himself. ‘Suguru only arrived yesterday and already I’m aching for him to the point of having such dreams,’ he cursed himself for his stupidity. He felt more like a teenager controlled only by hormones than the man he was.
The dream had been so vivid; he could still see his cousin’s enraptured face in his mind. He sighed as he thought of the look his cousin would have if he knew of his thoughts. He could see it, the look of disgust and betrayal in the young boy’s eyes as he stared at him, terrified by the sight of him. Tohma shook his head violently, clearing his mind of such terrible thoughts.
‘I won’t let that happen,’ he swore silently to himself, vowing to hide his lust for his cousin if it was the last thing he did.

Suguru looked up from his breakfast at his cousin; his teal eyes seemed so cold and distant while his lips carried an angelic smile. He wondered what could be troubling the man; he had never seen him like this before. His expression mirrored that of a man in great pain, a sever emotional anguish that he himself could find no cause for. Tohma’s lips moved but Suguru didn’t hear him, so wrapped up was he in his cousins tormented gaze.
“Is something troubling you,” Tohma asked with concerned, the man had never seen his cousin so sad. His expressive chocolate eyes seemed to conceal some sort of personal torment, a frown marring his angelic features. “Fugisaki?” Tohma called, puzzled by the boy’s strange behavior. What could be troubling him so?
“Oh, Seguchi-san. I’m sorry, what were you saying,” Suguru said quickly coming out of his daze. Seeing the blonde’s look he stiffened, he should have known better than to stare. Whatever was troubling his cousin was none of his business and unless he wished to tell him he would leave it alone.
‘Can you really do that,’ a voice in his head asked. ‘Can you really leave it alone, you know you want to comfort him,’ it said in a mocking tone.
“I will not interfere in his business. No matter how much I care for him.” Suguru said quietly.
“What was that?” Tohma asked, perplexed by the increasingly strange behavior.
“O-um, uh n-nothing,” Suguru stuttered nervously. He’d have to be more careful about voicing his thoughts aloud. He couldn’t afford having his cousin find out about his feelings for him.
Tohma’s eyes narrowed in suspicion. “You seem awfully distracted Fugisaki, is something troubling you?” The blond asked, locking his gaze with his cousin’s.
“No, I- I’m sorry. I’ve just had a lot on my mind recently. I’m sorry if I troubled you,” Suguru said sincerely.
“Alright then, just don’t worry yourself to much. That kind of stress isn’t good for a boy your age,” Tohma said smiling, mentally vowing to discover the source of his cousin’s odd behavior. Though he knew his feelings for the teen had more to do with his sudden thirst for knowledge than anything else. He just couldn’t stand to see the sweet boy so obviously unhappy. He continued to smile, hoping his cousin wouldn’t see through his mask.
After that they both ate in silence, both wondering what the other was thinking, and both fearing the discovery of the feelings they had buried so carefully
“Fugisaki,” Tohma said softly.
“Yes Seguchi-san,” Suguru said curiously. Cocking his head in a way Tohma found unbelievably adorable. “Would you like to go out today? I don’t have any meetings and you don’t have work or school, so we could spend the day enjoying ourselves,” Tohma said with a sincere smile.
“O-Of course Seguchi-san, I would greatly enjoy an outing with you,” Suguru said bowing his head to hide the dark blush staining his cheeks.
“Well then, we shall leave as soon as we’ve finished eating,” Tohma said happily, inwardly chastising himself for allowing his emotions to get the better of him.
‘But then again, perhaps letting ones emotions win is not so bad,’ he thought inwardly, smiling and eagerly awaiting the day ahead.

Suguru couldn’t believe his luck. First Tohma had allowed him to stay in ‘his’ home, with the man he secretly worshipped, and now he had a whole day to spend with him too. Perhaps his fortunes were better than he had thought, at least as far as his cousin went. He smiled inwardly as said blond god smiled down at him. They had gone to an amusement park, as neither often found time for recreation they had thought a few fast rides and games would help them relax and enjoy their one day of uninterrupted fun.
Tohma sighed happily as he looked down at the smaller, emerald haired boy at his side. His love for him had prompted him to spend the entire day alone with him, making sure it was the best time he could possibly have. His greatest wish was to make the fair angel smile, and to show him the love he deserved.
“Are you enjoying yourself Fugisaki?” Tohma asked, hoping his desperation wouldn’t be audible in his voice.
“Yes, Seguchi-san, I’ve enjoyed today very much. In fact it is the best day I’ve had to date.” Suguru said, his voice warm and radiating the happiness he felt.
“I’m glad. Where would you like to go next?” Tohma asked happily.
“To tell you the truth I’m getting sort of hungry. Do you think we could get something to eat,” Suguru answered, trying not to dampen the mood.
“Of course, I know just the place. Do you like Italian Fugisaki?” Tohma asked, trying to contain his joy. He had long dreamt of taking the boy out to dinner. Though it had been under more romantic circumstances, nothing could stop the rush of elation he felt at the possibility.
“Oh yes, I like Italian very much,” Suguru said beaming. He wasn’t sure how but he had pleased his cousin and just that was enough to make his smile so bright it could blind you.

Suguru looked up at his cousin from the seat beside him at their elegant restaurant table; being in such close proximity to the man caused his heart to race uncontrollably.
‘He’s so beautiful. When I was younger I always thought he was an angel, but I was wrong. He’s a god,’ Suguru thought, his eyes widening as he admired his cousin’s lithe form. The dim lighting of the restaurant caused Tohma’s hair to glow, as if it were made of blazing golden flames and his calm teal eyes shone like the clearest ocean. Oh how deeply he longed to run his fingers through that hair and see those eyes alight with love. The teen blushed deeply at such adolescent and improper thoughts.
‘Even though I love him, he will never return my feelings. Oh how disappointed he would be if he knew of my love. He would look at me with shame and disgust, and yet I cannot stop loving him. Fate truly is a cruel thing, but that does not matter I will merely have to settle for watching him from afar,’ Suguru thought sadly, yet a small smile graced his lips. Even if he couldn’t have his cousin, he could love him and that was enough for now.
Tohma’s sweet voice brought him out of his vexing thoughts and back into reality.
‘Fugisaki, what would you like to drink? If you would like you may join me in a small glass of wine,’ Tohma said, smiling his usual sweet smile.
The older man never ceased to astound him. How he could be so offhanded about giving him alcohol, it was appalling and yet his rebellious side could not refuse such an opportunity.
“I would like that very much Seguchi-san,” Suguru said slightly warily. There was a history of lightweight drinkers in their family and he didn’t want to embarrass Tohma by getting drunk.
“Of course,’ he thought. ‘He must also suffer from the same affliction, so he won’t order anything too strong and will make sure not to have too much,’ Suguru mused. His earlier apprehension quickly faded away as he looked into his cousin’s kind, alluring eyes. He was so confident and refined as he ordered a light merlot, first asking Suguru if he preferred red or white wine and once he discovered he hadn’t any idea of the difference, ordered his favorite for him to try.
‘Wow, he’s so thoughtful. I’m so glad to be here with him,’ Suguru mentally gushed over the older man beside him.

Tohma smiled at his cousin’s innocence. For a boy of sixteen he was so mature, yet in some ways he was like a wide eyed, curious child, seeing the world through untainted eyes. He remembered a time when he himself had seen things thus. That was a time when he was untainted by the true darkness of the world, a time before he had sent a young, innocent boy into the hands of a vile monster.
That was a time before both he and Eri were forever scarred. It surprised Tohma that he would think of Eri at a time like this, especially under such dark pretences. Eri had once been his only love, but he had been changed as had Tohma himself, and though Eri still remained firmly in his heart, it was a brotherly and protective love, one borne from a deep wish to spare him pain. Just as he wished to spare the boy next to him from such monsters.
‘Which is why he must never know of the dark feelings I hold for him,’ he vowed firmly in his mind.
‘But are your feelings so dark, it is only love after all,’ a voice whispered in reply.
‘They may not be dark in my mind, but to him… He would only come to hate me if he knew and so I will hide it,’ Tohma thought, sighing.
“Is something wrong Seguchi-san,” Suguru asked, a frown marring his brow.
“Oh, everything’s fine Fugisaki. I was only thinking,” Tohma said, putting on a fake smile while quickly dismissing his thoughts and quieting his troubled mind.
Their drinks soon arrived and once they had ordered their meals things changed to a more pleasant note. They smiled and laughed, neither paying attention to the amount of alcohol they were consuming. They had both ordered a great deal of food and once they were finished sat quietly enjoying each others company. Of course their multiple drinks soon caught up with them and caused a chain of events that would change both of their lives drastically.
“Fugisaki, I’m so glad I was able to spend this time with you,” Tohma said, “accidentally” brushing against the boy’s knee.
“As am I Seguchi-san,” Suguru said, a crimson blush staining his pale flesh, a heat growing near his groin as Tohma’s hand stroked along his inner thigh.
“There are ways to make this day even better,” Tohma said in a slightly husked voice, his gaze heated.
“How,” Suguru said, despite the fact he was becoming slightly aroused by the lustful look his was receiving he was still a virgin and a truly innocent one at that.
“Let us return home and I shall show you,” Tohma said, motioning for a waiter to bring them the bill

Tohma sped furiously toward his home, his black Mercedes roaring across the pavement, filling the silent streets with the sound of the engine’s roar. His heart beat furiously in his chest as he looked over at the nervous boy beside him. He hoped to god what he had planned wouldn’t scare his cousin and that it wouldn’t crush any chance the had of a relationship.
‘Is this really happening?’ Tohma thought as he pulled into the parking lot of his condo.
The blond quickly unbuckled his seatbelt and turned off the car, casting his cousin a quick glance before exiting the vehicle and moving to the trembling boy’s door. He opened it and helped the male out of the car, leading him by the hand into the dark condo.
Tohma turned on a light, fixing his cousin with a nervous gaze as he stepped toward him. Slowly, watching the boy carefully for signs of discomfort, Tohma lowered his lips to the sixteen-year-old’s. The boy’s eyes widened in surprise at first but then began to slowly close as he kissed back, tentatively pressing his lips against the older mans.

Suguru nervously ran his hands over the older man’s arms, feeling the heated skin beneath the soft material. He moved slowly, cautiously to the mans neck. He rubbed his delicate fingers over the tight muscles of his cousin’s shoulders, feeling the tension slowly drain away at his touch.
He could feel the man carefully leading him towards the large bedroom and though he was slightly scared he followed him, lips still pressed firmly against the blonde’s. He felt the male gently pull him down into a sitting position and lift his lips away from his.
“Suguru,” Tohma said, finally using his first name, an intimate action that caused the boy’s blood to rush heated through his veins. “Have you ever had sex before, with a man or a woman?” Tohma asked carefully, watching the teen flush bright red at the question.
“No Segu… Tohma I haven’t, I am still a virgin,” Suguru said, embarrassed at his innocence and reluctance to use his cousin’s first name.
“I see,” Tohma said, carefully considering his next words. “Would you like to… lose your virginity? To me?” The blond whispered, nervously awaiting his cousin’s answer.
“Y-yes, I would like to.” Suguru stammered, nervous and aroused at the same time.
“Alright,” Tohma answered, looking into the younger male’s eyes. “But if you start to feel uncomfortable or afraid, tell me and I promise I will stop,” he said watching as the boy nodded in agreement.
Slowly he leaned forward, once again kissing the shy sixteen year old. He moved slowly, watching for signs of discomfort or fear in the boy’s clouding chocolate eyes.
