The Big Burp

Naturally there were many questions asked of Jeanie and most, particularly ones posed by the twins, made Tamaki blush. That was until he had to throw up again.

Needless to say, he was glad when the day was over and he finally arrived home. He promised Jeanie he'd talk to her but by the time she arrived he was fast asleep.

"Poor thing" Jeanie stroked his hair, "I'll visit tomorrow"

Tomorrow came and Tamaki felt so very good he couldn't believe he'd been so sick the day before. He'd almost forgotten he was pregnant until he saw himself in the mirror.

"Oh...I can't go to school like this!" He placed a hand on his now very round belly. Even under his shirt it was too obvious and no doubt it would get bigger.

Right on cue a buzzing came from the corner of his bed.

"Thank God. Kyoya will know what to do" Tamaki sighed with relief when he saw who was calling his mobile phone.

"So...What are you planning on doing about your little problem?" Tamaki could hear Kyoya's smirk and fought back tears.

"It's not funny mon ami. I'm fat! I can't go to school like this! What do I do?" He blubbered helplessly to his best friend.

"Luckily for you I've already devised a solution. You were sick yesterday so simply tell the members of your house you are still unwell and wish to be left to rest. Is it possible to dismiss your household staff for a few days?"

"Kyoya...You're a genius!" Tamaki grinned "what would I do without you?"

"No doubt blunder your way through. Now also tell them that the only people permitted are the host club. Me in particular. They won't think anything of that and if I'm staying with you they will know you'll be looked after. My family is in medicine after all "

"Perfect...I'm gonna need you Kyoya." Tamaki wiped his eyes on his pyjama top.

"Don't think anything of it. I am simply fascinated by this whole event and wish to witness it unfolding" 

"I'm not just some pregnant thing you know!" Tamaki wailed and burst into tears again.

"Oh for heavens sake pull yourself together moron" an exasperated Kyoya rolled his eyes, "We'll be over after school okay?"

"Okay" Tamaki sniffed and hung up.

The club arrived exactly on time and a cautious Tamaki let them in. 

"Wow Senpai you're..." Haruhi started but trailed off.

"Round" Kaoru finished.

"Perhaps you should lay off the junk food boss" Hikaru chuckled.

"I WAS going to say glowing." Haruhi gave Hikaru a half hearted whack.

"I am?" Tamaki turned to Kyoya.

"Positively radiant..." Kyoya continued to write notes in his black book.

"Can we move to the kitchen? Im absolutely famished!" Tamaki suggested and headed for food.

"is there cake?" Honey's eager voice chimed.

"I did have some Honey Senpai but I'm afraid I ate it all" Tamaki grinned sheepishly, "I can't stand greens but I can't stop eating sweets!"

"Cravings..." Kyoya muttered aloud as he jotted down further points.

"Cake, sugar, fruit...Oh! There's juice!" Tamaki ran to the fridge and guzzled down a litre of apple juice.

"Aw" Honey climbed up onto Mori's shoulders.

"Do you feel better Senpai?" Haruhi enquired sympathetically.

"I feel absolutely extraordinary...Very hungry but other than that I've never felt so good!" Tamaki pulled out plain pasta from the fridge and promptly covered it with chocolate sauce.

"You gonna have some pasta with that sauce boss?" Kaoru raised an eyebrow.

"Wow...That's...Interesting" Hikaru tried not to laugh.

"Hey Takashi..." Honey looked down hopefully at Mori.

"No" was the no fuss reply.

"So... You've gotten bigger...I'd say second trimester" Kyoya inspected Tamaki's belly as Tamaki continued to wolf down pasta.

"Yes... I thought I told you I'm not just some pregnant..." Tamaki started looking annoyed before freezing.

"What? What is it?" Kyoya straightened up.

"It moved!" Tamaki gaped "It moved Kyoya!"

"Yes that's to be expected" Kyoya nodded but had his hand pulled onto Tamaki's belly regardless.

A few moments later Tamaki giggled and Kyoya's eyes widened as his hand snapped back.

"No way! Let us feel" the twins put their cheeks to Tamaki's belly and shortly after Hikaru pretended to be knocked across the floor.

Haruhi's hand took Hikaru's place as Kaoru flung himself back also. Honey bounced down off Mori's shoulders and ran to put a hand where Kaoru's cheek had been.

"It's really moving! Incredible!" Haruhi breathed in awe, looking up at Tamaki.

"He he he! It's trying to get me!" Honey laughed.

"It's the funniest feeling when it  moves" Tamaki  murmured with a small smile.  The novelty of the baby moving lasted all afternoon and evening. Tamaki especially couldn't get enough of it. 

Jeanie, who had appeared without notice, silently slipped away as the happy group sat chatting in Tamaki's room. It wasn't until later that Tamaki mumbled "She said she would come. Where is she?"

"Aw it's okay Tama chan" Honey wrapped his small arms around Tamaki, "you have us and I'm sure she'll be here as soon as she can"

"She did seem to care very much for you Senpai. Don't worry. She'll come." Haruhi offered with a comforting hand on Tamaki's shoulder.

"She had better." Hikaru suddenly looked very serious, "no one hurts the boss but us"

"You're tired Tamaki. You should sleep" Kyoya said in a gentler tone than usual and with a reluctant nod Tamaki agreed.

Once the room was vacant Tamaki tried to sleep but he could only cry.

"Oh dearest..." Jeanie's voice reached his ears.

"Jeanie where were you? Our baby moved and you weren't there!" Tamaki sniffed, turning away.

"You all looked so happy I didn't want to interrupt" Jeanie said quietly "I know you're the one having the baby but...I am the father...I'm trying to be supportive but..."

"Well you have a funny way of doing it" Tamaki grumbled then sighed, " I'm sorry princess. I'm tired and...It's just crazy...I have a life inside me...it's kind of scary"

"it's okay... I'll just... I'll stay until you fall asleep okay?" 

"Thank you princess. I'd like that." Tamaki smiled slightly and closed his eyes.
