The Boys

After they all left the gym, Laxus had some 'work' to do. He never talked about it with the rest of the boys, and knew that he shouldn't. He cared for them and didn't want them to get involved. He got in an uber and stopped at a small shop. The shopkeeper saw him get out of the car, and immediately let him through. Laxus went to the back of the shop, which had a staircase, that led to the basement. But this wasn't an ordinary basement. This basement had an owner, and he was one of the richest in the world. So, he decided to distribute some of his wealth, but for a cost at least. That cost being a fight, where someone might even die. It was the fighters choice how they wanted the fight. There's even been bribery to where one person convinced the other person that they would give some of the prize money to them. Instead, they killed them and took all the money for themselves. The people who have gone missing lately, have been all men, and they've all died here. Laxus was unsurprisingly, one of the top fighters here, and came here very often. He never killed anyone, but wouldn't hesitate if he had to. Guild quests just aren't enough anymore and he desperately needs for money, for the comfort he's looking for. He preferred armwrestling, as his fight method, since no one dies and Laxus has also never lost. Today, he had seemingly 3 opponents. They all waited for him and glared when he walked in. The owner said, "Hey Laxus. I think you see that you have 3 opponents today. The first two aren't that bad, but be careful with the third. His name's Richard and he's won a few fights, and killed the other person everytime he won. So, if you want to deny the fight with him, you'll have to tell me. So, do you accept his fight?" Laxus says, "It doesn't matter Boss. I accept, whoever it is. This is my life right now and the only way to survive." The owner smirks and says, "Very good to hear. Adrian, Daron and Richard, Laxus accepts! Adrian, you're first."

Laxus' POV:
 The boy named Adrian steps up. I take off my shirt and I sit down with him, ready to go. He seemed pretty scrawny and small, and he seemed to blush for a moment, from looking at my sweaty and bodybuilder-like physique, but switched back to a grin on his face. We started and he seemed to have a sharp object in his hand. I beat him within seconds, but had cuts all over my hand now. They hurt, but I knew I had to win. The next guy, Daron steps up and sits down. He wasn't as scrawny or weak, as the other guy, but seemed a lot more concentrated. We started, and I noticed him trying to twist my wrist. Was he really trying to injure me and win? I took notice and pushed back, which caused his wrist to get twisted instead, and I pushed down, beating him. My hand was drenched in blood, but I still had another opponent left. Richard. I knew I had to be careful with him and had to win. He was pretty big and seemed strong. My hand held his and could feel the pain from the cuts. We started and he pushed me really hard. I almost lost already, but regained myself and countered. Now, we were at the starting position again, with both of us using our strength to try to overpower the other. I tried to apply all the force I had and pushed harder than ever. He was startled by the burst of energy and was quickly overpowered. He was about to lose and countered, but failed. I was stronger and threw his hand down, claiming my win. He looked shocked and I saw fear in his eyes. I said, "Hey, don't worry i'm not gonna kill you. I just come for the money, so you can go on. But, you were the toughest opponent i've ever faced and props to you for that." He smiles and walks away and then the owner calls me. I come over, into the winner's room, which was littered with money everywhere. He saw me and handed me a bundle of notes. I saw them and was stunned. They were 1000 dollar notes... I could buy a house if I wanted! I had found the jackpot and thanked him. I returned home and was greeted by Mira. She knew about the basement and saw the bundle in my pocket. Her eyes lit up and asked me, "Babe, are all of them the same amount?" I nodded and she gasped in excitement. She told me, "Congrats Babe! We just even richer! But, I have to say something. If you care for me, never go back there. I see your hand, drenched in blood and I don't like this. You know how much I love you and just want you to be safe. So please, for me Laxus, would you stop going there?" I gasped and was hesitant but knew what I had to say. I said, "Fine Mira. If you don't want me to go back, then I won't. But if we ever are in a crisis, you can't stop me. Alright?" Her face lit up and she nodded. She looked really happy now and I finally realised how much she cared about me. At first, all she wanted was sex, but now we had finally bonded. Maybe it was finally time, to propose to her..
