Welcome Home

'I am definately not cut out for all this traveling...'

Syn felt like she had been hit by a bus. Or at least a pretty good sized car. Pulling all night guard duty with Pip had been necessary, but it was rough when she hadn't gotten much sleep the two nights before hand. Pip made a beeline for the baracks the moment they set foot inside the house - heading off to catch some sleep most likely. It wasn't such a bad idea, she thought to herself.

She trudged down the dungeon steps with her suitcase in hand, pausing only briefly to fiddle with the latch on Alucard's door. Once she got all her things unpacked, she was going to crawl into bed and pass out. It would be so nice to be in her own bed again. The feather mattress, fluffy comforter, and soft downy pillows...

"Welcome home, little goddess."

The red-head paused mid-step over the threshold of the room. Alucard was seated in his oversized throne, sans his usual coat and suit jacket. He had one leg crossed over the other and was tracing an ungloved finger around the rim of a wineglass sitting on the table next to him. Syn recovered from her initial surprise and stepped inside, pulling the door closed behind her.

"You're up late." she commented as she set her suitcase on a nearby table and popped it open.

Alucard raised one of his eyebrows slightly. "As are you." He watched her go through the motions of unpacking her clothes, then added: "I must say, your skill at cards is severely lacking."

The gunsmith sighed. He had been peeking in on her thoughts while she was away. Had it been any other time, she might have gotten upset. As it was, she was simply too tired to put forth the effort.

"You know I don't like it when you do that, Alucard."

The vampire shrugged. "You could have easily blocked me out. Had you been paying attention, you would have noticed."

The red-head sniffed. "You should be more careful. Spying on me like that will have people thinking you're jealous."

"Do I have a reason to be jealous, Syn?"

Her fingers paused over her suitcase and she turned her head to glance at him. Alucard was examining her with a piercing gaze - like he could look right through her and see into her soul. Syn knew there were a thousand different responses she could give to torture him, but she found she didn't really want to.

"No." she said, turning back to her task. "You dont."

"I didn't think so."

From the corner of her eye, she saw his lips curve into a smirk. He dropped his hand from its perch above the wineglass and crooked a finger at her.

"Come sit with me."

Syn rolled her eyes up to the ceiling. "Alucard, I'm tired, and I have things I have to..."

"Your things can wait." he interrupted, a disapproving bite to his tone. "Come here."

She decided to give up attempting to argue about it. Her suitcase wasn't going anywhere after all. She put down the shirt she had been folding then walked over to stand in front of the chair. She didn't even try to resist when the vampire pulled her down into his lap.

"You know, " she began as she propped her legs up on the opposite armrest. "This would be so much more comfortable if you would just let me bring another chair down here."

Alucard let out a dark sounding chuckle and traced his fingers along the outside seam of her jeans. "Oh, I don't know about that. I'm quite comfortable this way."

"Perv."

He chuckled again then lifted her chin to examine the faint red mark where Yumie had cut her. "You have been fighting."

Syn frowned. "That was entirely your fault."

"Of course it was." he said with a sideways grin. "Am I not the source of all your troubles? Now what was it that woman called you..." he tapped his chin, as if thinking. "Ah yes... 'whore of the devil' I believe."

He looked so damn amused by the whole thing that she glared at him in indignation. "This is 'not' funny."

"Indeed not." he agreed, though his eyes still sparkled. "You should have corrected her, my dear. 'Wife of the devil' would have been more fitting for you."

Syn stared at him. He was going to sit there, make light of the situation, then laugh in her face about it? Anger flooded through her and she drew back her hand and slapped him as hard as she could.

"You bastard." She hissed.

She should have known better. Alucard recovered from the blow instintaneously and grabbed her as she tried to scramble out of his lap. She twisted in his grip and after a fair bit of struggling, she managed to free herself. She tumbled out of the chair and landed hard on her ass. She quickly flipped herself over to push up to her feet, but something cold and intangible wrapped around her ankle. It jerked her back down to the floor before she could react.

The red-head glanced back and saw that Alucard was pushing himself up from his throne. His eyes burned sadistically as his shadows dragged her back toward him. She clawed at the floor and kicked wildly in an attempt to get away, but there was nothing she could do. She saw the shine of Alucard's boot next to her face just before his grabbed a handfull of her har and wrenched her up to her feet. She clawed at his hand in fury.

"Get your fucking hands off me!"

She tried to kick at him but the vampire just laughed and shoved her up against a wall. He kicked her legs apart so he could stand between them.

"My 'fucking' hands?" he asked. "Is there not something else of mine more appropriate for me to fuck you with?"

Syn glared at him. "I hate you."

Alucard pushed her further into the wall and bored his eyes into her own. "Hate me all you like. 'Loathe' me. Murder me with your eyes. But no matter how hard you try, you cannot fight me. You will always lose."

It was a challenge. And Syn Newsom had never been able to back away from a challenge. Her nostrils flared with ire and determination.

"I may lose, but when I go down, I'm taking a piece of you with me."

The vampire's eyes lit up with excitement. Syn got such a powerful rush of emotions from him that it nearly took her breath away. She felt the want and desire to tear her apart, the sadistic urge to rip her to pieces and make her beg for mercy - and something else... a kind of pride, a longing at her reaction. He actually enjoyed it when she wouldn't back down.

He leaned forward until they were nose to nose. "Your fury is intoxicating." he growled. His voice then lowered to a deeper, huskier timbre. "I will fuck you until you bleed. And you will scream for me."

No matter how angry she was, there was always something about the way he used his voice that made her insides tingle. It was just so animalistic - so 'primal' that her body responded despite herself. But she would be damned if she went down without a fight.

"I will 'not' scream."

They stared each other down for several long moments, each judging what the other would do. It was Alucard who moved first. Syn found herself thrown down to the stone floor before she could blink.

He was not kind, nor was he the least bit gentle. In fact, he was so brutal that had Syn not known better, she might have thought he was trying to kill her. He was like a man starved - and now that he had a meal before him, he was determined to gobble it down in one swallow.

Her clothes were torn and his claws ripped at her skin as he jerked her legs around his waist to thrust inside of her. Syn's head fell back against the floor, her eyes clenched shut to force back the tears that were forming. It was painful - the worst sort of torture - and yet her blood was singing with desire. There was something unnameable... indescribable inside of her - a dark place inside of her soul that mirrored his own. Perhaps that was shy she fought so hard in the beginning, why she struggled against him now. There were parts of her that craved, wanted, and god help her, 'needed' his brutality. She recognized that they were things that normal people would be disgusted or terrified by - yet to her they weren't. And because Alucard wasn't human, he could sense them, hunt them down like a bloodhound, and drag her down to their depths to experience them to the fullest extent. It was not something she openly enjoyed every time, nor would she ever admit she craved it so much... but it was something she needed.

She knew that had circumstances been different and she had found a nice, normal man for herself, she would never have reached the level of fulfillment she experienced with Alucard. She doubted even another monster would be able to reach the depths he did.

They slid across the floor, the cold stone biting into her back as he moved against her. Syn felt something cold and wet run across her collarbone. She opened her eyes and the breath caught in her throat at the sight above her. Alucard's face was buried in her hair, but behind him his shadows writhed and pulsed. A thousand gleaming eyes watched every movement while the sharp-toothed mouths gaped open and licked their lips like hungry beasts waiting for the perfect moment to strike. It was sublime - infinitely terrifying and amazingly beautiful at the same time.

She dug her fingernails into his shoulders and let her legs fall open to allow him deeper. The vampire felt the invitation and his pace became faster - more violent if that were possible. The red-head gasped and whimpered in tormented bliss. She felt the flames burn brightly inside of her and she knew she needed something that he hadn't given her yet. She turned her head to press her face into his neck.

"Bite me." She whispered.

Alucard let out a ferocious sounding snarl. He said nothing out loud but when she heard his voice in her head, it was strangled and husky.

'Beg for it.'

Syn felt the sharp scrape of his fangs against her pulse, the sting of his claws digging into her back, and her throat went dry with want. She twisted her head to the side and dug her nails deeper into his shoulders.

"Please!" she cried out, arching her back towards him. "Bite me... please... Aluca..."

Her voice broke when he gave a painful thrust and sank his fangs into the junction between her neck and shoulder. She clawed at his back as waves of dark, burning pleasure rushed through her. He drank deeply and she felt every swallow, every drop of blood that poured out of her veins and into his greedy mouth. She clung to him as if she were drowning and holding on to him with all her strength was the only way to keep herself from being pulled under. And when her vision blurred around the edges and began to fade, she did precisely what she had vehemently sworn she wouldn't.

She screamed.
