The group was now settled down to listen to Eli's explanation. Eli stands and paces for a moment trying to formulate his story.
"The ritual that Sian used involved both the death card and the void card. He knew that you would be able to change death so he must have put a powerful spell on the card." Eli begins.
"What sort of spell?" Sakura asks.
"The spell was meant to force the card to kill Sian." Eli answers.
"Why would he do that?" Meilin asks not believing that Sian would do something so foolish.
"Because he knew that his soul along with Akurax's was tied to void. Once their souls were safely in the void card he tied Akurax to his aura. Being of the undead, Akurax could get back his body, but Sian had to find a new body. Now that he has, he won't stop at anything to see what Clow started burn to the ground." Eli finishes.
"But this isn't the original version of the void card now is it?" Yue asks.
"No it is not. In the beginning the card that now is void had a different nature. Clow created a card called 'nothing'. It was capable of neutralizing the cards' positive aura. Unfortunately, the card was turned against Clow by Var Chokol's counter card."
"The dark apprentice?" Lee asks.
"Very good Lee. I see your history isn't rusty. Fortunately, Clow managed to change the card's nature. Now it can imprison anyone within a purple void. This along with the former rogue cards were stolen by Sian."
"Whatever happened to Var?" Lee asks.
"Sian destroyed Var with his own counter card. What he plans to do now is to summon his first guardian to this plane again." Eli states solemnly.
"You mean...," Yue says gravely concerned.
"Yes, Tarsis."
"Who is Tarsis?" Sakura asks.
"Tarsis was an eclipse(1) beast before he was turned into Sian's first guardian and gained the identity of Tarsis." Eli explains. "He lost some of his natural resistance to magic of the sun and the moon, but he is still dangerous."
"How will he summon Tarsis back to this plane anyway?" Kero asks.
"During the lunar eclipse tomorrow. Sian will make sure we can't reach him for fear of us interrupting him. He can only re-summon his guardian on nights of lunar eclipses. After that, I don't know what his plans are."

"Yes, the moon is starting to change color. It is time to begin." Sian says summoning his staff. Akurax watches as a swirling black vortex appears before them. Sian continues to chant as a black mist comes out of the portal. The mist starts to coalesce into a shape of a large creature that looked like a werewolf, but it was apparently more wolf than were. Once its body solidified, the beast let out a howl and transformed. The transformation left a human like being covered in fur up to the neck. The black hair on his head was thick and ran down his back. His eyes were the color of moonlight. The smile he gives his master reveals sharp canine teeth.
"Master Sian Reed." Tarsis greets with a bow, "I, Tarsis stand to serve you again."
"Arise my guardian. We must begin my plans to destroy that half reincarnated brother, the new mistress, their guardians, my brother's descendent, and their allies."
"Who shall I kill first?" Tarsis asks with a predatorial gleam in his eyes.
"No need for bloodshed yet, my friend." Sian says and materializes an empty hourglass.
"you're going to rip the gift of magic out of your brother?" Tarsis asks.
"No, not yet. I'm going to get rid of the mistress's lover first." Sian says and Akurax smirks.
"Who is this bat?" Tarsis asks with disdained for the vampire.
"Shut your mouth dog...!" Akurax shouts but Sian stops him.
"Akurax is my second. You will work with him. Do you understand?" Sian asks with an underlying tone that left no room for questioning.
"Yes, my master." Tarsis says.
"Good. When we meet them in battle again I want you to get several locks of Lee's hair. Once then I'll do the rest." Sian states and smirks.

Two men, dressed in black, stood in the darkened office of their boss. The one sitting in the chair had its back turned to them.
"You summoned us?" the first of the pair asks.
"Yes." a cold, feminine voice says. A screen flashes on and a map appears. "Your orders are to go to the ruins of Skynet and retrieve any technology there. Section 32 will need it."
"What about the Black Shield?" the second asks.
"I've gotten operatives into that rogue agency. They are quietly sabotaging their efforts. Black Shield doesn't know about Skynet's destruction, or its existence. Once we have our hands on the chips used in creating such a computer system we shall fix what Korskov broke."
"Yes mistress." they both say and leave. The leader of Section 32 chuckles and continues to look over the files of those that had turned the election around. 'You don't know what you've gotten yourselves into.' she muses.

As before, the two groups stood in the middle of the park. Sian smirks and Tarsis charges for Lee.
"Face me Brother!" Sian shouts.
'What is he up to? Oh well, better give him what he wants.' Eli muses and meets Sian's charge. "You know that technically, I'm not your brother. Clow is dead."
"Don't hand me that crap. You and I both know that deep down you are that brother of mine. I can feel it. Your unwillingness to destroy me the first time around is proof enough." Sian says as their staffs, glowing with power, clash. It was a fighting technique that their father had taught them when they were old enough to hold a staff.
'Man, why do I get the grunt work!' Akurax says fending off not only the guardians of both mages, but the trio of Josh, Wulf, and Meilin. His aura flares up and he throws several of his blue disks.
"Not this again!" Meilin says trying to avoid the energy disk coming for her. Akurax smiles in glee as he watches the seven try to not get hit by the projectiles. He frowns seeing that Josh had just stood there and the spell crashes into his shields.
"All right, this one I developed while I was in the void card!" he shouts and casts a yellow spell right for Josh. However, instead of crashing into the shield, it goes around it and attacks Josh's wrist band.
"Shit." Josh quietly swears.
"I call that my 'circuit breaker'(2). You like?" Akurax brags.
Tarsis smiles to himself. He had the boy on the ground in a painful body lock. A part of him, the part that was more animal, wanted to show dominance over the boy, but the part that was unconditionally loyal to Sian held the beast in check. Claws grew from his right hand. He forces Lee's head up from the ground and swipes the claws across several strands of hair.
"I ought to have some fun with you." he chuckles, "but I've got my orders. Master! I have his hair!" Sian teleports to where Tarsis had Lee and produces the hourglass.
"Put them in here." Sian orders." Sian orders and Tarsis complies.
'No, he can't be doing what I think he's doing!" Eli panics. "Everyone! stop him now!"
"Aaahahaha! Too late brother!" Sian laughs and the hourglass glows black for a moment to reveal the bottom half was glowing green. Akurax teleports over to his master and Tarsis kicks Lee away from them. "The green sand in this hourglass represents Shaoran's magical aura. Once I flip it you will have only three days before what gives Lee his powers fades forever!" Sian says with triumph showing in his eyes. "Not even your cards can stop this mistress!"
"Why you...," Lee growls getting back to his feet.
"Your three days...,start now!" and with that, Sian turns the hourglass and the green sand begins to fall to the bottom. The green coloring fades to a dark grey. "The only way to save his powers is to destroy the hourglass, but I'm not going to let you do that! Once your powers are gone you'll be useless to the mistress! See you in three days!" Sian shouts and the three leave just as the shot card was set upon them. Kero and Yue could feel the anger coming from their mistress. Eli sighs inwardly. They had to get that hourglass before Lee loses his powers forever.

"What a dump." the second of the two men says as they approach the now pile of rock that was Skynet.
"According to the satellite photos of this place, there's an emergency access point right here." the first says but it was covered up by rock.
"How do we get through that much rock?" the second asks.
"Like this." the first says pulling out an explosive and setting the detonator. The two take cover and the covered entrance opens up.
"Whoa, do you think we'll find anything?" the second asks.
"Probably not, but we can't disobey her." the first says and the two go into the darken tunnel with their flashlights.
