Shun sat it the warm water of the furo, sighing as steam
billowed up around him. Facing
away from the door, he leaned forward, frowning as he relaxed against his
knees, hugging his legs to him. Boy, this was decidedly unfair. There
was not much left to review, all of the events of this last week pretty much
well covered by his exhausted mind. He was tired as he struggled to
maneuver a balance between the shadow of falsehood and the impending doom of
the truth.
All that really caught his attention now, as he sat in
the swirling waters, were that the changes Hasukawa had so suddenly
undertaken. Apart from his unusual sexual persistence (not that it was
actually different), Kazuya was become more and more brash. Not in a bad
way, but in terms of becoming a . . . a leader, maybe! In the weeks prior
to his accident, Suka wouldn't say a mention of love to his own family, much
less someone he liked or, was in fact, in love with. Much style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>less would he feed them in public.
At that Shun sighed again. It was good to be loved,
that he could not deny. And now, on terms that went beyond 'best friends
forever.' He knew there would be a forever, but depending on how Suka-chan
found out about the situation, the prefix to that part was what came under
question.
Then again, was Kazuya not just going through his normal
paces? The better analysis would take one back to his first mousy days at
Ryokuto. It was then that he began to show his brass – taking a swing at
Mitsuru, constantly dissenting. And then, suddenly, he was dorm president.
It was that incident that could have possibly been the motivation in Suka
growing up a little. As it was, Hasukawa still was the dorm president,
his senior year not deterring him from either council work or homework.
It was Shun that deterred him from council and school
work.
Was it also, then, so hard to believe that all this was
not the result of a whack to the kid's noggin? Could one not, then, call
that knock a contrived though purposeful 'driving force' in the admittance of
love? After all, Suka said it best when he compared them to the
sempais. They were always together, and both boys seemed to like that
just fine.
The click of the door pulled Shun from his reverie as he
peeked back over his shoulder to see who it was. Paling instantly, he 'class=SpellE>eek'ed and ducked as far below the water as he could.
"Suka-chan!!"
Hasukawa hopped, turning around in his place.
"Agh! Shun! style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>Sumimasen! I completely
forgot! Gomen nasai!!" He
would have bowed but considering the way he was turned it would have been much
more of an insult.
"Just go!" Shun yelped, hugging himself.
Hasukawa nodded, though Shun could not see and he went
through the door, barely with the time to pull a robe on. "style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>Gomen!" The door clicked again,
Shun spreading out like oil in a pan.
"Jeeze. . ." Holding
a hand to his chest, he felt as his heart raced like machine gun fire, barely
able to come down from the rush to even think about what just happened.
It was instances like that which reminded him that this could not, and would
not continue.
style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-bidi-font-family:
"Courier New";color:black'> Period.
Shakily climbing out of the furo, he wondered whether or
not he felt sobered or scared to death. Or, better yet, excited. Though
he'd secretly snuck peeks at the equipment before, under the circumstances, the
stolen glance was way more titillating. His chest was still palpitating like
crazy and his nerves had all blown at once. As he pulled his robe on,
carefully moving to the door, he suddenly saw just two options set before him.
