Note: Sorry this is taking so long, I've been distracted a lot lately with other ideas, I guess this is why they gave me medication for ADD. lol Seriously though, lots of issues had been coming up but now I think I've cleared away a lot of them so I can get back to work on a lot of my fics. Look forward to them. ^_~

Chapter IV; スッペクター の眼 - suppekutaa no Me (Eyes of the Specter)

To have a long, unbenificial, day was something that Shun was used to by now. His usual day consisted of sleeping, reading the paper, and if the need arose then to visit one of the many Grande Foundation branches on a business run. Being chosen to be the sole Kido reprisenitive was quite the hassle since he had not know much about the company while Saori had been raised to run the huge corperation by herself. He gave a deep sigh as he walked back to the hotel in the deep night. What little information he had recieved consisted of all the murders where speratic, there was no pattern, but there was one odd piece of information that he couldn't help but continuesly track back to. Pausing in his steps his green eyes scanned over the cobble stoned street that he walked upon. A strange sent hung in the air of that particular area, something that caused the fine hairs on the back of his neck to stand up on end. A strange caressing aura wrapped around him like a thin fog. A whisp of sound caught his ear when a chilling wind blew. Observing his surroundings caused a curiousity to arise with in. What he had heard that day replayed in his head:
A rinkled woman jutted her garden spade into the thick dirt, rocks, sand, and clay flipped into the air as her unsteddy hand shook. Her eyes were large and frightened as she slowly turned to face the man that had just asked her a particular question. "Young man," her voice wheezed. A drop of sweat trickled down her face as she spoke, "I don't know about the recent murders, but I can tell you this... More people have been killed in the old cemetary in the past month than those who have been found by the police."

"What do you mean?" Shun knelt down to look the gardening woman in the eye. His voice was soft, filled with curiousity. "How do you know?"

"Best not be telling you, but there's a demon living in the woods that surround the old cemetary. Don't be going there."

Grass and rock crushed under his shoes as he walked down the cracked and over grown path that lead to the old cemetary. A fog from the sea crawled across the ground, the wind making a gentle haunting melody. He stopped hearing a far off laughter. A harsh scream rung out in the night, sounding so close that Shun could feel breath petting over his neck and ear. Stumbling to the side he covered the sensitive shell of his ear looking to his side trying to find whomever was there with him. With his heart pounding in his chest he calmed his shaking breath. There was no one there, only swaying weeds, a creaking old tree, and the quiet stars in the sky. Blinking a few times he frowed his brow, he knew he wasn't one to have a wild imagination.

Slowly picking up his feet he felt a panick arise. His palms began to sweat as the pounding of his heart started to echo in his ears. Petting his palms against his pants he swallowed hard as a bell tolled far away. A hissing cat caused him to jump, closing his eyes as it darted off. Letting out a held in breath he whispered out loud, "You're being silly Shun. You're 31 and a Saint of Athena's and a little cat just scared you... yeah, that's real Saint like. Nothing there to hurt you..."

"Nothing there to hurt you," was softly echoed as ice cold fingers cupped his cheek.

squeezing his eyes even tighter he felt his body shake, "Nothing there, nothing there."

"Nothing here that will hurt you....... Andromeda."

His eyes fluttered open, red eyes bore into him as his heart froze. Beautiful red hair petted over the edges of his body, the tips tickling his knees. Pale skin seemed ghost like in the bright starlight, red painted lips where a few hairs from his nose as he tried not to cower from the frightening beauty. Those ghost like eyes softened as a soft smile curved painted lips. Another pale hand reached up, the red finger nail polish catching light from the town down below. The fingers whispered over his hair and ears. Obverting his eyes from the woman's gaze he noted that she was dressed in normal clothing, normal for a punk that is. Her pants where slightly baggy with two leather belts holding onto her left thigh, while two others latched onto her right cafe. A white shirt with sprayed on words like graffite was neatly tucked in, with a cloth jacket matching the black pants waved in the wind. The lower hem was weighted down by a sown on leather belt. Looking lower, to the ground he found something that made no sence. The woman's shadow had a very faint silver lining that pulsed from nothingness to luminecent giving it an almost liquid look to it.

The woman's hands suddenly guided his gaze to match hers once more. Her mouth openned as to say something, he was greatful to find that her teeth were normal for the exception of her slightly sharper looking cainines. They where not larger or anything to that of a vampirick resemblance, which was quite the relief to the Saint.

"SHUN!!"

The far off shout caused him to turn his head. The woman let go of his face, the feel of her hair disappearing as well as the closness of her body. Turning back his eyes widdened, his breath shortened as he stumbled back. A shriek of horror stuck in his throat, a gust of wind wafted a thick sent over him. The creaking carried sounding as if he was standing right under it as it swayed.

"Shun! What are you doing-" Seiya froze looking past his friend. His eyes widened from the site. He had just returned from Sanctuary, what he had found out was interesting to say the least and he was rather excited to tell his fellow saints all about it. When he had seen Shun on the hill top he ran up in hopes that they could walk back to the hotel together. But with this recent development, it looked like they would have to take a detour before returning to have a rest.

Stepping closer, the creaking noise echoed louder causing his stomach to twist. Placing a hand over his mouth he took in the sight of sown lips. Meaty tendrals waved in the wind dripping blood, limps decorated the ground like a Halloween display. Swallowing hard, Seiya wrung his hands together taking a cautious step forward trying to define the gender of the corps. A howl of the wind barked at him, the gust rocking the body causing it to beat against the trunk of the tree. With a shout, Pegasus whirled around and grabbed a hold of Shun's hand. Racing down to town he felt the eyes of someone watching him. Something wet splattered on his cheek as he darted through the tall grass.

Shun felt the squeeze of fear. Never have they encountered something so cruel. In all their fights and in all of their training, never was one mutilated. When someone was killed it was rather instant and merciful, not like that... not like that. Something wet hit his cheek as they ran, looking over his shoulder he caught a glimps of the woman, tears shimmered as they were tossed up into the air, her mouth open as a silent cry fell from her lips.

To be continued...
