Hey, sorry I haven\'t updated in so long! My new semester of college just started and I just finished my seasonal job so I\'v been a little busy! Sorry! Hopefully I\'ll be able to update sooner from now on. ^^U.

One day in April

Ch. 4
Shopping and Mattresses

Luffy blinked. Staring at Nami he stepped back, rising one of his thinly shaped eyebrows.

\"Come again?\"

Nami heaved a sigh.

\"I said, I\'m taking you shopping!\"

The previous day the straw hat pirates had ported at a large island and since, as usual, there was a large crowd at port, they put their ship off on a deserted part of said island, proceeding to check into an inn.

A little over a month had passed since Luffy had confessed that he was carrying Zoro\'s baby, but he had yet to physically show it.

Zoro was still unusually quiet about the whole situtation. That of course made the brunette captain nervous about the whole ordeal in general. Zoro had yet to show how he felt since that night. He mentally winced when he remembered how hard Zoro had hit him.

Luffy was knocked out of his reverie as he remember that Nami was staring at him.

\"Uhm, I hate to break it to you, but I don\'t have any money.

Luffy gulped deeply when Nami let out a loud laugh.

\"Never fear! I\'m treating you today, Luffy!\"

The silence hung in the air and one must have surely thought that Hell much have frozen over. He gently put a hand to Nami\'s forehead.

\"Are you feeling alright?\"

She snorted as she slapped his hand away.

\"You dork! It\'s not everyday we get a baby on board! And we have alot of leftover treasure! And there\'s more to be plundered!\"

Luffy smiled kindly at the red haired navigator.

{I geuss the reason she\'s treating me is because she\'s as excited about a baby coming as I am}

He suddenly found himself as the end of Nami\'s finger.

\"I wont have you sleeping in a hammock while carrying a baby! We\'re getting you a mattress! And you\'ve got to start wearing socks! And we\'re getting you a proper wardrobe!\"

Luffy nodded dumbly as Nami continued babbling about baby clothes and cribs while all the while her eyes were sparkling with excitement. She quickly glared at him again.

\"All I ask is one thing in return, Monkey D. Luffy!!\"

He gulped. This was the part that he was dreading. What he didn\'t expect was to see Nami\'s glare melt into a wide grin.

\"I want to be called Aunty Nami!\"

Luffy let out a large sigh of relief. But then again, he was glad. Nami wanted to be a part of his baby\'s life. To play a role as a gaurdian, a role-model; someone to rely on. Luffy laid his head on Nami\'s shoulder, soon feeling her arms wrap around him.

\"Thanks.....Aunty Nami.\"

They both chuckled as Nami wrapped her arm around his shoulder.

\"Let\'s go! I\'ll make sure to spoil that baby rotten!\"

Sanji couldn\'t help but glare at the swordsman next to him.

\"Asshole.\"

Zoro raised an eyebrow.

\"What now, missy?\"

Sanji grit his teeth.

\"You know what.\"

Zoro watched Sanji stomp off down the street to another awaiting stall of produce. He heaved a sigh and followed suit.

{Why the hell does he care? How things are going with Luffy and me is none of his bleeding business!}

Sanji looked back at Zoro.

{What Luffy sees in him I just don\'t know.}

He was about to walk away, uninterested when he caught sight of a small basket at his feet, filled with, what he expected, a spice.

\"Excuse me,\" getting the attention of the stall keeper, \"What\'s this spice down here?\"

\"Oh that\'s no spice. That\'s a powder we make from a root that grows specifically in this area. You take a pinch of it and put it in your tea once a day.\"

Sanji raised his eyebrows in curiosity.

\"What\'s it supposed to do?\"

\"It relieves the aches and pains of pregnant women.\"

Sanji contemplated what he had just heard.

\"I\'ll take two pounds.\"

\"Excellent.\"

Paying for his parcel, Sanji noticed that Zoro had finally caught up to him.

\"Whadja buy?

\"If it\'s any of your concern, I bought a pain reliever that Luffy will be needing in the upcoming months ahead.\"

He smirked when he noticed Zoro bite his lip slightly.

\"And on the subject of Luffy, Nami-San was so kind to take him out for a day of shopping. She\'s so generous toake her time to take him out for supplying him for the months ahead of us! Ah, Nami-san!\"

\"Yes, Sanji?\"

\"Ah!! Nami-san!!\"

Zoro looked over to see Nami trotting towards them with bags among bags in her arms.

\"Sanji-san! Can you help me carry my bags?\"

\"Of course, Nami-san! I - oh, Luffy!\"

Zoro\'s head shot up, looking over to the straw-hatted captain. He was only holding one light-weight bag by the handles.

\"Uhm..Nami, you know I CAN carry some of those..\"

\"No way! Nuh uh! You\'re not carrying anything heavy!\"

\"But-\"

\"You can\'t afford to strain yourself in your condition!\"

\"But-\"

\"NO BUTS!!\"

\"It\'s only the first month!! I\'m not even showing yet!\"

\"Doesn\'t matter! What would happen if you hurt yourself?!\"

\"Lay off.\"

Nami whipped her head around to stare at Zoro.

He in turn stared at Luffy who mearly bit his lip, averting his eyes. Snatched a small bag from Sanji\'s grip he walked over to the brunette, placing the bag in his free hand.

\"Carrying one or two light-weight bags isn\'t going to throw his back out.\"

His now empty hand came to rest on Luffy\'s opposite shoulder, proceeding to pull the smaller towards himself.

\"Wait until he\'s actually showing to endlessly worry about him. He\'s tough and doesn\'t hurt easily.\"

Luffy blushed slightly, but his face flushed hotly when Zoro leaned down and nipped at his neck.

\"Z...Zoro..\"

\"Oi! Bakayarou! Wait until we\'re back at the Inn to molest him! People are staring!\" Sanji shouted at him.

Zoro scoffed.

\"Let them stare.\"

Nami sighed, looking at her watch.

\"Well, it\'s almost three. I told the others to meet us at the resteraunt down the street in about a half hour.\"

Zoro raised his eyebrows.

\"What for?\"

He instantly regretted asking when Nami grinned.

\"I\'m buying a mattress for Luffy. There is no way I\'m letting him sleep in a hammock!\"

\"But, Nami-san? What does that have to do with us?\"

Sanji and Zoro stared at the red head while Luffy sighed.

\"You\'re going to carry it!\"

Zoro\'s groan could be heard down the street.

Sanji and Nami walked along side by side down to the resteraunt, lively chatting away with one another. Zoro, with his arm still around the captain, followed behind.

\"Hey, Zoro?\"

He glanced down at the smaller boy.

\"I...uhm....uh..well..\"

He was cut off as Zoro shoved his tongue down his throat. He blused deeply, especially when he knew people were watching them.

\"Don\'t worry..,\" he said after pulling away from Luffy, \" It\'ll be alright.\"

Luffy\'s heart fluttered as Zoro leaned down to invade his mouth once more. He was cut off though as Sanji flipped a box into Zoro\'s hands.

\"I made sure to buy these. You can use them until the third month.\"

The two looked down at the box labeled \"Condom Variety Pack\".

\"SANJI!!!!!!\"
