Angelic Haven *COMPLETED*

Rei slowly opened her eyes, feeling a strange sensation that made her feel very light-headed. She closed her eyes, her heart pulsing a few times before she opened them again. They were all surrounded by nothing but LCL. All three Evangelions hand their hands locked with one another, forming a complete triangle. From what Rei could see, both Shinji and Asuka were unconscious inside of their Evas. Rei could hear what sounded like a small bell being struck. It was then she witnessed Shinji\'s eyes open, revealing a pure, white color. He threw his head back and his Evangelion roared. A bright light engulfed Rei and Shinji for a moment. Rei\'s eyes clenched shut, a emotion of fear wrapping around her heart. When she opened her eyes, she felt as if she were looking in on someone else\'s dream. This dream was silent, with no sound, but it showed Shinji walking into a kitchen where his parents, Gendo Rokubungi and Yui Ikari greeted him. Gendo was reading the morning newspaper and Yui was cooking breakfast.



*Is this what Ikari wishes...?* Rei wondered.



*It is what Ikari wishes...* another voice whispered.



Rei was more than surprised when the vision showed her walking into the kitchen with a smile and greeting both Ikari\'s parents before greeting Ikari himself and sitting down beside him.



*What is this...?*

*What am I in Ikari\'s eyes?*



*Someone who is like his sister.* the voice replied.



Rei watched the interaction between the family she apart of. It made her heart grow warm the more she saw the family she\'d been placed in interact. Shinji and Rei headed to school where they were greeted by Hikari Horaki, Kensuke Aida, Toji Suzahara, Asuka Langley Sohryu and even Kaworu Nagisa. Much to Rei\'s surprise, she was laughing and smiling with Hikari and Asuka while the three ate lunch. Out of the corner of her eye, Rei could see Shinji smiling at her. Was that what Shinji wished for her? To be happy and enjoy life more? Rei noticed the teacher walk in; Misato Katsuragi who announced she was getting married to her college love, but also, the most popular gym teacher in the school; Ryouji Kaji. The boys booed, the girls groaned. At gym, Kensuke, Toji, Shinji and Kaworu all goofed off, playing basketball together and hanging out just like friends did. The school day had ended and Rei watched Shinji talk to Kaworu who seemed uncertain about something. When Rei saw the dream version of herself head to her school locker, she saw Kaworu walk up to her. He bowed, saying something Rei didn\'t quite hear, but whatever it was, it resulted in Kaworu and Rei walking out of the school holding hands, while Asuka came looking for Shinji and wrapped her arms around his own, smiling happily. Rei was very, very surprised. Did Ikari-Kun want to see her with Kaworu? Did he want to be with the Second Child? It sort of angered Rei a little bit...At the end of the school day, Rei and Shinji were walking home with one another, both talking so casually, it almost startled Rei. At night, the family prayed before eating dinner and Rei watched as Yui Ikari walked into Shinji\'s room, and even despite the fact Shinji was sixteen, she kissed him goodnight.



*What part do you want to play in Ikari\'s life?* The voice asked her.



Rei\'s eyes slowly closed as the dream began to fade.



*Someone...who can be there for Ikari-Kun when he needs me...Someone who can make Ikari-Kun smile...someone who can...be Ikari\'s.*



Rei\'s eyes fully closed as the dream completely ended.



Shinji groaned, slowly opening his eyes. Her could clearly see that they were all surrounded in a sea of LCL, their Evangelions hands locked with one another. He had a strange \'dream\' if he could even call it that much. He dreamt of Ayanami. She was waking him up for school, so they wouldn\'t be late. Shinji blushed when the dream showed him pulling Rei down on top of him and him kissing her. He whispered words of love to her and once he\'d managed to get out of bed, they walked around the city, Shinji showing her the beauties of nature and all that life had to offer, all the while holding hand. They met up with all of their friends who insisted they all go shopping. From then on, the dream showed Hikari and Asuka trying their best to make Rei try on new clothes while the boys played arcade games. Something Shinji noticed the most was how close Asuka and Rei were in the dream. Was that what Rei truly wished? For her and Asuka to have a better relationship? Their day had ended with Ayanami laying beside him in bed, a blush on her face, and Shinji whispering more words of love to her. Shinji shook his head a little with a blush of his own as he tried his best not to focus on the dream. More so because he knew it wasn\'t a dream, but what Rei truly wished for. It almost made him sad because in Rei\'s heart, she wished for Shinji. The thought made him blush, but also feel a little uncertain. He cared for both Asuka and Rei...



"Asuka...!" he said as if remembering the girl was just now apart of the phenomenon.



Both Rei and Asuka were unconscious until Asuka\'s eyes opened, glowing a beautiful, bright white light. Shinji and Rei\'s Evangelions were flooded by the dream of what Asuka wished. They could see Asuka talking with her beautiful mother about something, but as most dreams, no words or sound could be heard. They watched as a man walked up to Asuka, startling her, but Asuka could only smile and happily wrap her arms around the man who proceeded to wrap his arms around the other woman as well. Shinji knew this was the family Asuka so desperately wished for. Asuka headed out of the door, walking to school. She stopped at what looked like Ayanami\'s old, dreary apartment. Hesitantly she knocked on Ayanami\'s door. When Ayanami answered, they seemed to be talking about something. Ayanami disappeared inside for a moment and walked back out, dressed in her school uniform. Asuka seemed relieved. This made Shinji wonder if Asuka wanted a deeper relationship with Ayanami as Ayanami did with Asuka. As the two girls walked to school, they noticed Toji and Hikari arguing about something, but all in good fun. Asuka smiled at the sight of Toji and Hikari playing like that with one another. It was no secret, Toji and Hikari were an item. Kaworu approached Rei who blushed, but simply nodded and walked off with him, waving to Asuka. Asuka waved back, then looked a little lost for a few minutes. She blushed when Shinji wrapped his arm around her shoulder from behind. She looked up at him with a blush, before smiling and they walked to class together.



Shinji could only blush. The world that both girls wished for, included him as their main squeeze. Most guys would feel lucky. He felt burdened. He closed his eyes, thinking. With Ayanami, he\'d always feel a sense of completion, but did that only come from the fact that she was a clone of his mother? No. No matter what, Rei was Rei. If he was with Asuka, there\'d be a lot of trouble, that\'s for sure. She was overbearing, rude and so saccharine, but beneath that, he knew she was nothing more than a scared girl who didn\'t want to be alone and wanted someone to love her. What were the feelings he had for these girls? Love? Did he honestly love them? Yes, he conceded. If he hadn\'t, he wouldn\'t be doing this. There would never be something such as a perfect world, because the \'perfect\' world these girls envisioned included being with him. Wasn\'t there someway he could make everyone happy...? He slowly opened his eyes only to see both Rei and Asuka\'s eyes were glowing bright red. The time was upon them. They already had the perfect world they wanted, all that was left was for Shinji to make his decision. Shinji finally understood something...He had the final say in recreating the earth. He had a final say in these people\'s destinies. He would take care of that power now and forever. He focused all of the power he could within the Evangelion. A world created for them...This is what he would give them, himself included. From space, one could see the great Egg of Lilith begin to glow before all of earth was overcome with a large, blinding white light and the three, massive Evangelions glowing brightly, their hands connected and their wings fully spread. The time was now...!
