“I’ll be fine.”he smiled softly. “I just have to avoid Kyo for awhile...”

The name immediately brought tears to his eyes, despite his attempts to hold them back. Haru wrapped his arms around Yuki immediately after seeing the tears in his eyes.

“What did that stupid cat do this time, Yuki.”

“D-don’t call him that...”the tearful rat repeated what he’d said to his brother the day he’d started staying with him. Haru looked at him with surprise.

“What’s going on, Yuki? You called him that all the time.”

“Things are different now...”

“Meaning what, Yuki?”

Yuki glanced around. “I don’t think this is the place for this, Haru...”

Haru looked around and smirked.

“Follow me,”Haru grabbed Yuki’s hand and led him to the back of the store. Yuki blinked, following after his cousin. Hare stopped at a door, looked around, then opened the door and slipped inside, pulling Yuki with him. Yuki glanced around.

“Haru, I don’t think we’re allowed in here.”

Haru grinned.

“The janitor doesn’t come in until after closing time. So don’t worry, Yuki.” he touched the boy’s face. “Now... what’s going on Yuki?”

The ox looked at him and smiled softly.

Haru backed away slowly, his eyes going black.

Yuki didn’t notice the change, his gaze lowered.

Haru stepped in front of the door.
