Separation
Overheated Ctarl
Separation

"I don't like this...my crew has never been separated like this," Gene complained to the human general.
"The fleet needs the best engineers working on our new base," the human general countered.
"But that rock has to be hollowed out first," Gene returned.
"True, but with the mining ships doing that work it won't take that long. Besides, the team of engineers have to finish the internal designs while the asteroid is being hollow out. I know that your crew is a civilian crew and aren't used to these transfers, but I assure you that this transfer is only temporary."
Gene sighed, "I'll be glad when us civilians can go back to being civilians."
"That, we can both agree with."

Aisha was clutching onto Jim, not wanting to let him go.
"Oooohhhh, why do you have to go?" Aisha wined.
Jim sighed and rubbed her back, "I'm the best engineer in the fleet. They need me to head up the team for the construction of this new base. Don't worry, it'll only be for a couple of weeks."
"But what if those bastard Sith and Rorgans attack?" Aisha protested.
"The mining ships can fight, and the fleet is no more than a half hour's distance away. We have enough fire power to hold them off if the enemy attacks us," Zyrashia informed.
"It's life of the military Aisha, but fortunately for you, this is only a short term assignment," Aisha's mother said.
"You take care of him you hear me Zyrashia?" Aisha growled.
"I will make sure our mate is taken care of," Zyrashia assured.

Aisha's father stood, watching the mining ships and several support ships jump into trans-ether. He wouldn't be wasting time with this plan of getting another base. Heifong could be used. These command decisions would be changing when he was in command.
His attention was then drawn to a familiar ship coming out of trans-ether.
"Fuck."
888
"What are you...?" the Ctarl general asked his brother.
"That blond runt of an admiral called and informed me of what was about to take place, This is your fight, I'm here to make sure that combat is honorable," the Emperor said.
"That is unnecessary," Aisha's father growled.
"And I believe it is...do you wish for your challenge to be revoked?" the Emperor growled and the older general said no more.
888
"Ahhhhhh!"
"They've only been gone for an hour," Susuka said, taking a sip of her green tea.
"An hour? It's felt like half a day!"
"Do Ctarl mates suffer this withdrawal when they are separated.
"Yes," Aisha whimpered.
"Hey, it'll be ok," Melfina comforted. Aisha sighed. Zyrashia was with Jim and if she was any sort of a beta she would take care of him.
888
The mining ships went to work on the rock that would be the main part of the base. Several support ships were scouting out smaller rocks that would act as either part of the defense system or other support facilities.
"I think we should have the energy weapons attached to the main base. We can use four smaller asteroids to fire off missiles. That way, we can actually have more missiles fired off and do more damage to the enemy," Jim said as he, Zyrashia, and a team of engineers poured over design blueprints.
"How do we keep these smaller asteroids from floating away or being knocked out of the gravity well of the main base?" Zyrashia asked.
"This," another human engineer said and handed Jim a blueprint.
"A magnetic shield generator?" Jim asked.
"The magnetic shield generator will magnetically lock the smaller missile boat asteroids to the main base. That will solve the gravity issue," the engineer said.
"Yeah, but I just hope we can design a large enough power plant to produce enough power to energize this place," Jim replied.
888
The door parted and a tired Jim and Zyrashia flopped onto the bed, only having enough energy to get out of their uniforms.
Zyrashia curled up beside her mate. This assignment was going to wear them out. They were in for sleepless nights, and those nights would be filled with work and not rutting.
"We aren't going to be able to mate are we?" Zyrashia asked.
"No. Besides, Aisha would probably feel jealous that she wasn't apart of any of our fun. She might want you to take care of me, but she probably hopes I come back ready to fuck her through a mattress."
Zyrashia rubbed her face into the crook of Jim's neck and the two fell asleep.
888
"Three days?" Aisha's father growled.
"A proper arena must be constructed. You can wait, if you want my brother's position so badly," the Emperor said and the older general glared, not liking the fact that he would have to wait.
888
Jim watched as the cutting beams were carving the giant rock into two giant halves so the internal construction could be done easier.
"This will cut about a week off of construction if we split the rock, construct the innards, put the thing back together, activate the power plant, and start arming the thing," Jim explained.
"The power plant will be the hardest. It's basically a giant magnetic generator," Zyrashia said.
"Makes things easier when we bring the magnetic shield generator on-line," Jim added.
"Look, the rock is parting," Zyrashia said and the two halves of the large rock were being pulled apart.
"Whoa, is it just me or is that rock got a core of dragonite?" Jim asked.
"I think we found more here than we thought we would," Zyrashia said.
"Wonder if we should just split all the rocks around here and see what we find, huh?" Jim suggested with a grin.
"You are enjoying this aren't you?" Zyrashia asked.
"Designing a new ship is one thing, but designing this base...I'm in heaven, somewhat of course. I'd rather have both my Ctarls here."
"You are certainly a smart human," Zyrashia grinned and Jim grinned back at her.
