"Alright, what is it?" Wulf asks Josh as they talk quietly away from the pacing Lee.
"Last night my sensors detected three heat sources in one of the lower basement rooms. I went to investigate I saw three of the elders. I think they're planning something."
"Great. Lee's got enough to worry about without the elders trying to sabotage this ceremony. Let's keep alert. I'll stay close to Lee and you try and make sure nothing funny happens to Sakura. Let's just keep this to ourselves in case the elders are just trying to make us paranoid." Wulf states and Josh nods his head in agreement.

The gathered girls hear a knock at the door to the room Sakura was waiting in. Ruby opens the door to see that Tori was standing there. Ruby smirks knowing that in the end, Tori would do the right thing.
"Come along ladies, let's let the older brother have a private word with the bride." Ruby says and she, Madison, Meilin, Icious, and Lee's four older sisters leave the room.
"Look," Tori begins, "I went completely overboard. In my mind no one is good enough to marry you. Lee is the very last person I'd thought you'd marry, but I can't stop you. I'm sorry." Tori waits and feels Sakura hug him.
"I forgive you." she says looking up at him.
"Just don't expect me to be friendly with him." he replies and Sakura giggles. "Look I better go find dad and let him know I'm here." Tori replies and leaves. Sakura smiles realizing that Ruby might have had a hand in this. She then hears the door open and then she gasps seeing who was there.

"Nervous?" Wulf asks.
"What do you think?" Lee asks and Tao snickers.
"You know, I've never actually seen one of these sort of ceremonies. Oh, I've been to a wedding, but this is a head of family ceremony." Tao says.
"Correct." an elderly voice states. "Unfortunately, this is a ceremony that's five minutes late. Where's your mother and the bride to be?" Wulf bites his lip and realizes what was gong on.
"Tao," Wulf quietly whispers, "stick to Lee, I'm going to find Josh."
"What is going on?"
"Just stay with Lee." Wulf growls and leaves quickly.

"You see, we don't like what you've done to the future head of this family. We had him just the way we wanted him, but you changed his heart. We had worked so hard to quietly eliminate his father and now you go and ruin what we've done." the head elder states as he and his associate had Sakura pinned to the wall. "For that, you shall join Lee's father."

"Josh!" Wulf shouts and comes up to the boy.
"I can't get through that door with my stun needle gun."
"You only have your stun gun on you?!" Wulf asks frustrated.
"My equipment would have been too obvious." Josh retorts. Wulf sigh and backs up a couple of steps and then charges the door. It smashes in half with no problems. Josh charges into the room. The pair see that two of the elders had Sakura pinned up against the wall.

"What is the meaning of this?" the old man asks. "You are interfering with a very old and traditional ceremony!" he yells at the third elder. It would have been more intimidating, but the old family priest had a horse voice.
"The elders have a different ceremony in mind." the third states. "We were hoping for a funeral instead."
"What!?" Lee fumes.
"Uh oh, old family politics are stinking up the joint." Tao remarks.
"That's right, a funeral." the third elder states. Lee's aura swirls around him as his anger builds.
"Damn you!" and with that exclamation, a bolt of lightning strikes the elder. He falls down to the floor. This display of power gets the attention of everyone. Lee ignores everyone and heads to where he could feel Sakura.

The two elders, not realizing that the door could've been broken down easily, weren't ready for the attack. Wulf takes out the head elder while a stun needle goes into the neck of the second. Lee storms into the room seeing that his friends had protected his Sakura. Yelan along with several family guards come to see what had happen.
"Take them away! We're still going to have a ceremony, but afterwards, there will be a funeral!" Lee barks. The two are dragged away and Lee turns to his two friends. "I should be mad at the two of you for hiding this, but I realized how much of a wreck this has made me. So, thanks for stopping that."

"As one family, we gather here to recognize these two as the new heads of this old and prideful family." the priest begins. Sakura and Lee were sitting on a mat in front of the old priest. The guests were also sitting on mats watching in silence. Yelan stands near her son and Aden Avalon stands near his daughter. Aiden's love of history could appreciate this sort of ceremony even though he wished it was more of a western styled wedding.
"Yelan, as both mother and acting head of the family, you can still object to this union." the priest states.
"I have no objections." Yelan states.
"Lee Shaoran, do you accept the duties, responsibilities, powers, and privileges that head of this family brings?" the priest asks.
"I do." Lee says without an ounce of hesitation.
"The family ring please." the priest commands and Yelan hands over a ring with a green jewel in the middle of it. "With the authority bestowed upon me by the family, I now name Lee Sharon head of the family." He then turns to Aiden and Sakura. "You, being the father, have right to object to this union."
"I have no objections."
"Sakura Avalon, is it your wish to be the wife and second of this family? Are you willing to be responsible for the welfare of your husband and this family?"
"I accept all duties and responsibilities that being Lee Shaoran's wife entails." Sakura states firmly.
"Yelan, the other ring." the priest commands. She hands it over. Instead of handing it to Sakura, he hands it to Lee.
"Lee Shaoran, by placing that ring on Sakura Avalon's finger, you acknowledge that she is and forever will be your wife and your partner in everything including being second of this family. Is that your wish?"
"With all my heart." Lee responds. Madison wipes a tear from her eye. The special camera was trained on the scene insuring that nothing would be missed.
"Then place the ring on her finger." the priest commands. Lee takes the clear jewel ring and places it on Sakura's finger. The priest takes the ringed hands of both into his old, rough ones. The clear jewel in the ring that was on Sakura's finger turns bright pink.
"With the powers bestowed upon me by the family, I now present to the family, the new heads." applause echoes throughout the old room.

The vidboard goes dark as the scene of the most important wedding of the early 21st century ends.
"What was the next thing that happened right after the wedding?" the teacher asks.
"The three elders were executed for their crimes against their own family. This would lead to a new way of judging the next head of the family." one student answers.
"What else happened?" the teacher asks.
"Because of what he had done, Josh Karthing was able to go through the archives of Lee's family and along with those found in the Drumhilde archives he was able to come up with the art of technomancy." a second answers.
"But how could the family triumvirate still exist to this day?" the teacher asks again.
"The lovers card has a revers of the anti-fertiltity charm. It was called the 'baby boom' charm." a fourth states.
"Excelent. Because of that, the three families would continue to exist to this century." the teacher says and a chimes rings out. The students start filing out. "Remember that tomorrow we'll be going over their later years and there will be a test next week." The class growns as they leave the room.
