Reunion
Chapter 5 – Reunion
The man turned away, but Robin grabbed his arm and turned to apologize “I-I am sorry I just thought you were someone . . .” she looked up to see a tear trickle down his cheeks from behind his sunglasses “Amon? Is it really you?” she asked.
He went to turn his head but Robin grabbed his sunglasses and pulled them away, she gasped when she saw the teary eyed Amon.
“I-it . . . it really is you, after a week I came back to Touko’s but you moved and I couldn’t find you” she breathed and then grabbed him hugging him as she began to cry. She pulled back remembering he never wanted to see her again “Amon I am sorry, it has been a living hell these past 6 months, I want to be with you.”
“R-Robin” he said.
“Yes” she answered.
“I thought what I did was for the best” said Amon “but I was wrong these past 6 months my heart has been tearing out of my chest.”
Robin just watched waiting for more.
“Touko and I broke it off after the first nthsnths, I wandered all over Japan trying to figure out why it hurts” he said “but I already knew that I wanted to be with you, but I can’t”
“Wait, what?” asked Robin “you know you want to be with me, it hurts when we are away from each other so what more do you want?”
“I want . . . well I actually don’t want” he began “to be hurt anymore”
“Amon I would never purposely hurt you” she pleaded, “please just give me another chance”
“On one condition” he began as Robin’s eyes lit up and she hugged him and he hugged back “I can’t take being hurt anymore” he whispered.
“Amon” she was crying into his chest “I’ll never hurt you, just don’t leave me please”
“Ok” he said bending down to kiss her she savored the kiss, they broke apart and she gripped his arm as if he would run. Amon just smiled at her as the two left the park. As their hearts slowly healed from being apart for so long Robin swore to herself to do everything to protect Amon’s heart.
Back at HQ Michael was typing on his computer when he heard Robin giggling in the hallway. He looked at the other three members of STN-J, they looked confused, and Robin never giggled, laughed, or even smiled for that fact ever since Amon left.
Robin turned the corner and her friends were stunned “oh you guy’s I was just giggling with an old friend” she explained.
Sakaki looked over and seeing no one next to her he whispered to Michael, “she’s finally gone off the deep end”
“Hold on he’s shy,” she said turning to the door.
“He!?” asked Karasuma surprised.
“Come on in,” said Robin and the dark figure entered no one recognized him, he slipped off his shades and Karasuma recognized his eyes.
“A-Amon?” asked Karasuma the others gasped as they realized it was Amon.
Everything got quite and Amon fixed his expression to his old emotionless one, he was ready for them to be angry and upset maybe even yell. What he did not expect was for everyone to get up and start talking hurriedly, hugging him asking if they were dreaming.
“It’s not a dream” he assured them “I came back for something I love . . . but I found Robin instead” he laughed and the others joined while Robin fake pouted. Everyone wondered if this was really Amon as they chatted for a while and learned t hit his new personality.
“You have changed a lot Amon,” said Karasuma kissing his cheek.
“I have business to attend to,” said Amon winking at Robin “I’ll tell everyone about the past 6 months tomorrow.”
After a few goodbyes Amon grabbed Robin around the waist and led her outside “time to go home” he said.
Robin just smiled and kissed hid wad walked to the car believing those 6 months were nothing, now she was in heaven. The two sped off home into a blazing red sunset.
