Anendee: I LIVE! sorry i have had issues, i hope you guys like this chapter! i think it is longer and subsequent chapters i am pretty sure will be longer then this. i finished this story and it is nearly 60 pages long (yikes!) but it is finished! just not in this cahpter, hehe

Nearly two hours had gone by before I was free to go. From what I understand that was a short time. Shishio had been arrested for Attempted rape, Assault and battery and breaking and entering. Detective Saito Hajime, personally handcuffed him and carted him off, then came back and questioned me, until that is I refused to speak with him about it. He had to find a female officer, as was protocol anyway, to question me. Officer Tae, she didn’t give me her last name, was really nice to me, sympathetic even. She made this so much easier, though no where near as easy if this hadn’t happened, or if I knew her. When I finished with her, she sent me to the paramedics.
I wouldn’t let the paramedics near me. All male and while not as tall as Aoshi and Sano, they were still taller them me. They made me nervous, especially as I knew they would be touching me, no way, wasn’t going to happen, uh-uh.
I called Kenshin to let him know I was on my way. I was happy to see that Aoshi and Hiko were no longer around. Great guys but I don’t think I could handle much more from the male half of the species this evening, ok maybe if Aoshi was still here I wouldn’t mind too incredibly much, just a little.
After the events of the evening, I wasn’t going to lose my guard dog. Sano insisted on walking me to work and home when that time came. I can walk the distance it was only 9 or ten blocks to the club, and my route took my right past the police station, I loved that, especially on my paranoid nights.
Intersteller is the name of Kenshin’s club. It caters to the underage crowd until 10 pm, then if you didn’t meet the age requirement of 21 you had to leave. It was an arcade, restaurant and dance club all in one building. An interesting mix with a décor done in space themes. The dance floor made it seem as if you were dancing on the universe, surrounded by galaxies. Not a disco ball or strobe light to be found there, nope the only moving lights was the spinning of the galaxies and the revolution of comets in various systems.
The Restaurant, Starry Night was like a moon lit night. Stars every where over head, and a bright beautiful full moon over head, candles were at every table giving it a more intimate feel while still giving the patrons enough light to read the menu and see each other in.
The arcade was every man’s inner child’s dream, space paraphernalia all over the place. Pieces if rockets, replicas of shuttles and space show ships. While not all the games followed the theme it was a very popular place for all to have fun.
I worked in a galaxy; I couldn’t tell you which one as the entire room was made up of a lit up map of the universe. I had light under the counter for me to utilize, and let’s face it, I needed one.
The rest of the night went smoothly at work, very slow so was able to help Sano with his studying. As it was slow I didn’t have to put much pressure in my wrist, while it is my off hand, I still use it when I get busy or when I do little tricks, I didn’t have to move too much that night at work so my ankle was spared a bit as well. Both Sano and Kenshin noticed the favoring of my wrist and ankle. Both kept asking if I was ok, if I wanted to cut out early tonight. I was getting sick of being the frail little girl to be protected.
I managed to ditch Sano before I left after helping to clean up at closing time. Don’t ask how, I’m still trying to figure that out.
I exited the Intersteller, it had been a long day and I’m surprised I could still function. I was pushing my limits and I knew it, but I didn’t want to be dependent on my friends to see me through the day. I kept to myself, huddling in my coat, the wind was bitterly cold.
I heard the footsteps behind me before I even reached the next street over from the club. I tried to ignore them. I figured I was being incredibly paranoid, not that most people would blame me given the evening had progressed.
I sped up anyway, sooner I get home the better off I was. Hiko stepped out in front of me from an ally, I nearly screamed. He didn’t move to touch me, especially when I had slipped on some ice on the sidewalk. He did move toward me. I couldn’t help cowering from him. He flinched and stopped.
“Kay? What are you doing out here alone?” His words were slurred together so bad I could barely tell what he was saying. If a voice could feel… inebriated, then his voice was it. I could practically smell the alcohol from about five feet away. “Hiko, please just back off and let me be tonight.” My voice held confidence but if he could see my eyes, I bet they would have told the truth.
He did, though a furious then sad look flittered across his face before he melted back into the shadows of the ally. I let out a breath that I hadn’t realized I was holding. I was very glad he backed away. I don’t think I could handle a friend attacking me right now, and I was still a bit shaken from earlier. I was beginning to think I would never not be some what shaken up. Damn do I need a back bone and a new supply of courage.
I was almost to the police department near the apartment before I saw another person. Aoshi was exiting the building. I nodded an acknowledgment and continued home. I didn’t care why he was seemingly just now exiting that building. I jogged home.
I didn’t stop moving till I reached my apartment. Too much. I didn’t want to go there tonight. I went back one doorway to the right and knocked. Meg answered the door, her eyes took me in and she sighed. I think it was in relief. Some one told her what had happened. “Meg, is it ok if I stay here tonight?”
I was beat and I knew I sounded it. “Come on in Kaoru, you are always welcome you know that.” Yeah, I guess I did. Meg gave me a smile and led me to their guest room…

I wanted to strangle the man that made her scream. As much as I loved to hear her scream, only I am allowed to inspire them, they were mine alone! The cruelty that emanated from the 2 at the café, made me think this was something that happened often with them. What am I talking about? I knew what happened at the café did happen often. What didn’t happen often was what that asshole tried to do to my Amei. No one would get away with that. She is mine alone and I won’t tolerate any one hurting her. She is my masochist. This just wasn’t my baby’s night. At least she would never have to worry about either of them again…

To the Anonymous One: I really don’t think I expected it to be incredibly realistic, as the fact that I was basing it on how I would do things, both as the stalker and the victim. I can see both of them reacting as such, but not quiet to that extreme. I just wanted it to be enjoyable and creepy. ( i am an extremist, it\'s either too little or too much, besides that is why i put up in my waarning taht there is OOC (Smilely face!)
Jodibetz: I thank you for staying with that story though it has been nearly two months since I updated, I was having trouble getting the story between my internet-less home and my screwed up computer drives at work, let me know when you have something and I will be more then happy to read and review! I love that story bu Kanzen Ne Tsuki! It was part of my inspiration for this one.
Effah: thank you! I don’t often get complements, this story has more reviews then any of my other fics on Mediaminer and on Fanfiction.net combined, so thank you this is high praise indeed. I hope I do this right, and I think I give her one or two chapters of none torture in the future, I know of two right off the top of my head, and you keep enjoying it!

I can tell you the stalker isn’t Kenshin, I have found that many A/K fics I read tend to bastardize Kenshin one way or another. I understand why, to me it is so I can free up Kaoru who is good for him. It’s hard for me to separate the two if he isn’t an ass hole one way or another. I found a way to do it in this that doesn’t bastardize him and gives him a shot at being her stalker. Don’t get me wrong, I love Kenshin as he has been portrayed in the past to got Aoshi and Kaoru together but I had wanted to do something different this time.
The next chapter should go up hopefully no later then Monday! I am going out of town this weekend! (woohoo for me) if i get a review or more by this friday (yes tomorrow or today depending on when you are reading this) by 2:30 Central Time (USA) i will post the next chapter, otherwise barring my boss being in the office the next chapter will be out on Monday.
