Unwanted Pain

Ch. 4: Unexpected guest

Robyn and Kittie worked behind the counter. They were both reading a magizine when the bells on the door rang to signify that someone has entered the store. They heard Aya say, \"Good day sir may I offer you assistance?\"

\"No.\" At that voice Robyn and Kittie both looked up. It was Osawa their father. He was looking right at them with rage in his eyes, \"I want both of you home today!\"

Robyn stood up, \"Don\'t you come into our work and start! We will never come home, never to you!\" She had no time to step back when her father grabbed her wrist and pulled her over the counter. \"No Daddy not here infront of everyone!\"

Kittie looked back and forth between Robyn and her father to Yoji, Ken, Omi, and Aya who were watching. \"STOP!\" Kittie jumped over the counter.

Osawa held deaf ears to Kittie, \"Who do you think you are to leave the appartment that your grandparents worked hard to get you two?\" He grabbed Robyn\'s jaw and squeezed tight so she would look at him.

Robyn\'s eyes were filled with tears she was on her knees and her father held on tight to her chin, \"We were kicked out!\"

\"Having too many men over? You are such a whore just like your mother!\" He slapped her, \"I expect you two home tonight!\"

\"NO!\" Kittie shouted at her father standing right behind him, \"We won\'t go back to you!\"

Osawa whisked around and looked at Kittie, \"Did your whore sister fill your brain with those thoughts?\"

\"No.\" She glared at him her crystal blue eyes shooting daggers at him.

Osawa grew frustrated then threw Robyn across the room, she landed in Ken\'s arms, \"I don\'t have to worry about telling you not to touch my daughter you all probably had a poke at her.\" With that he left the store.

Kittie ran over to Robyn who was now on her knees covering her face with her hands. \"Are you ok Robyn?\"

Robyn looked up at Kittie with an empty smile, \"Yea I am fine, are you ok?\" Tears were streaming down her face, she wasn\'t aware of Omi helping her up. \"I am going into the back ok?\" Robyn looked at Yoji and waited for him to nod his approval then she went into the back. She looked into the mirror as she washed her face. \"I am not a whore,\" She whispered to herself, \"Neither was mama.\" She felt her anger welling up inside of her. \"DAMN IT!\" She screamed then punched the mirror causing it to shatter and cut her fists in many places. Then she punched the wall beside the mirror. \"DAMN IT ALL!!!\"

Kittie was the first to hear the breaking mirror. She started to go into the back room then Yoji stoped her, \"There are customers, I\'ll take over it,\" He said. Kittie just nodded then got back to work as Yoji went into the back room. He found her sitting in the darkest corner her knees drawn up to her chest. Her head was tilted back with tears streaming down her face, \"Robyn...\"

She turned her head so that he couldn\'t see her face, \"I\'m sorry, I\'ll buy a new mirror.\" She whispered out.

\"Fuck the mirror, are you ok?\" He looked at her blood soaked hands then turned her around slowly to look at him. \"Don\'t take what your father says to heart.\"

Robyn sobbed out and flung her arms around Yoji\'s neck she burried her head in the crook of his neck and let more tears fall, \"I don\'t know why he keeps doing this to me...\"

Yoji hugged her close to himself, \"I don\'t know why anyone would want to.\" He gently pushed her away then walked to the sink and soaked a rag with soap and water, then went back over to Robyn. \"But you just don\'t listen to him ok?\" He started to wipe the blood from her hands.

\"What makes you think that what he says isn\'t true?\" Robyn watched as Yoji cleaned her cuts.

Yoji looked at her, \"Because, you are smart, funny, beautiful, and are a great person.\" Yoji gave a smile.

Robyn bit her lowe lip softly, \"Yoji...\"

Yoji leaned up slowly and kissed her lips softly, and held the position until Robyn burried her hands into his hair and kissed him back. They each parted their lips letting each others tongues explore their mouths. Yoji pulled Robyn closer to his form.

Robyn was the first to end the kiss, \"I better get my hand bandaged up.\" She stood up and smiled at Yoji. \"Thanks. You know for everything.\"
