Together No More
Summary: No dice. No lies. No love.
Disclaimer: I don't own Yami no Matsuei. So don't sue me! ^^;
A note: I guess I'm on a roll with this. Sorta. It's piqued my interest to continue. I really... don't know where I'm going with it, but... work with me here. ^^; I just might have a sister series in the works. Keep checking for updates!
"Ugh," Hisoka growled through clenched jowels. "Where is he?"
The 16-year old shinigami had followed his partner from the elevator into the casino, but he'd lost him in all the ruckus.
"Goddamn... Disappearing all the time... I'd like to give him a piece of my mind..."
More than that.
Needless to say, Hisoka was livid. As he folded his arms and stood like a wallflower, it only became more so. Whatever was more important than investigating together, as they usually did, it better have been good. Truth be told, he didn't really buy the "investigating" bit. But what else could he do? Flat-out ask Tsuzuki two seconds into the brunette disappearing again?
I'll ask him tonight. He'll give me the truth, no dice.
At that moment, he couldn't help but watch a pair of numbered cubes roll across the Craps table just in front of him.
Where'd he go...
"Tsuzuki..."
It was another hour and a few minutes of small-talk from a waiter who was convinced he'd been standing there a little too long before Hisoka moved. He went into the coffeeshop just a little ways down, sat, and brooded.
He's lucky I don't turn him in to Seiichirou. Damn bastard...
He swirled the small stick inside his pale coffee. He always did take a little too much cream.
We're supposed to work together...
"We're supposed to work together!" he announced while his forehead dropped to the flat surface of the table in front of him. The teenager took no notice of the stares he'd attracted by his minor outburst.
"Is he drunk?"
"Why isn't he in the bar?"
"He looks too young to be drinking..."
Hisoka's green eyes closed and he sat there, unmoving, his arms folded over his head in such a manner that one could dub him "pathetic."
"You'll just never get it, will you, you big lug...?" His shoulders began to shake.
"Tsuzuki. You fucking bastard..."
Yes. A short chapter. But it got my point across. ^^
