One month later:
"Raito, how are you doing?" Ryuzaki asked.
Raito was laying on his side on the cell floor. "Fine," he croaked.
"You don't look very well. Your pride must be getting to you."
"Maybe I should get rid of it."
"That's my cue," Ryuk said more to himself. A few seconds later, Raito passed out.
"Raito-kun, you OK?" No answer. "Then I'll take that as a yes." He switched over to talk to Yagami. "Yagamim-san, how are you doing?"
"Great," Yagami said sarcasticly. "Has my son said anything, yet?"
"No. He just passed out, but I suspect being locked up this long has exhausted him. He hasn't been sleeping well, as it is."
"But how is he doing?"
"He's resting for the first time in a month, so he's fine...for now." He then changed the subject. "There have been killings since the two of you have been locked up."
"Then Raito is innocent?" Yagami's hopes were up, but just a bit; he knew Ryuzaki too well.
Ryuzaki had a plan. "I have something you must do in order to prove the Misa and your son are not the Kiras. Take them on a trip to a remote area, and threaten to fire a gun at them. Fire the gun at your son, but hesitate as long as you can."
"Then if I die, he's Kira. If I don't, he's not Kira. I'll do it."
And so the plan was carried out. The bullet turned out to be a blank, and no one was killed. Yagami was relieved.
"And Raito, as also promised," Ryuzaki said, "I will work it out so that you and I will be together twenty-four hours a day, working on solving this case."
Raito was shocked and excited at the same time. "You got it, Ryuzaki! Let's catch Kira together!"

A/N: This is all I have typed right now, but the next chapter will be up before I go on my trip. I will be gone for just the weekend, which is why I put three chapters up today.
