Chapter 5: A visit at the hospital

The news of the recent events had spread globally, and everyone close to Arceus and other important people, and many others came to the Hospital. Star was in tears, praying that her mate will pull through. Hours ticked by, as everyone and the legendaries waited patiently. Arceus was put in ICU overnight, until mid-morning the next day.

By this time, Arceus was taken to the recovery room, as his family members came in to see Arceus hooked to a ECG and IV fluid bags. He also has casts on his legs and a neck brace on his neck. His wounds are wrapped in bandages around his body, stained with dried blood. He also has a head bandage around his head, covering the sides of his bruised and cut face, closest to his ears. Star rushed to his bedside, pleading for him to wake up. Arceus soon woke up and let out a pained and almost inaudible squeak.

She warned, "Please, don't try to talk too much. You've just came out of the operation.", as she nuzzled him affectionately

Arceus then notices humans in the room, and whimpered in fear, with his ears pinned back, as he hid in the covers.

"Those scoundrels have really done it this time", thought Meila sadly, as she drew closer to Arceus, before proceeding to pet him, though he flinched at her touch. After a few seconds, he lets out a contented sigh, but continued whimpering softly despite this, knowing others in the room are human.

"Arceus probably lost his Life Plates again when Team Rocket tortured him.", Paul remarked

Star replies. "It's possible, but who knows where they've scattered them."

As the other humans in the room drew close to Arceus, he began shivering, and started whimpering more loudly, pleading them not to get any closer or worse, hurt him.

Ash replies, "No, no, no, Arceus we're not going to hurt you."

Pikachu then hopped off of his trainer's shoulder, and leaped onto the bed beside Arceus speaking to him, "Pikapikapikaachupika", which would translate to something along the lines of, "Don't worry Arceus, the humans here mean no harm, after all, we are part of your family." Arceus nods at this, as Pikachu with his arms crossed, shakes his head as a 'yes', and goes back to Ash. A few minutes later, Nurse Joy came in with a metal tray which has a lot of medical equipment, including fresh bandages, bandage scissors, wound disinfectant, a stethoscope, and a rectal thermometer. "Alright, I need you all to clear out of the room, I need to check Arceus' vitals and clean his wounds and put on fresh bandages." Nurse Joy ordered as everyone except Star cleared the room. Arceus noticed Nurse Joy approaching him, and cried out in protest and screamed, "Please, don't hurt me! Don't come closer, I'm begging you!"

"Arceus", started Joy, "Don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you."

Arceus flinched, as she removed the covers, and delicately removed the bandages. As she was doing so, Arceus continued whimpering fearfully, as she removed the bandages, and started cleaning his wounds to which he screamed in excrutiating pain, and cried in protest.

Nurse Joy shushes, "It'll be alright, Arceus. The pain will go away soon.", as she strokes Arceus' head gently

Arceus tried calming down as he whimpered softly, as she cleaned his wounds and put fresh bandages on him.

After all that, Arceus fell back asleep, with Joy briefly petting him to make him feel comfortable. After a few hours, he woke up in the hospital room, and is visited by Damos, Sheena, Kevin, and Marcus. Arceus whimpered fearfully as they approached him.

Star removed the covers, revealing Arceus' battered body. Most of his skin has almost burnt off, and they could plainly see nerve tissue and a few blood vessels. In some areas, they could see pieces of bone almost. Areas with skin are inflamed, with some sloughing off and could see bruises all over, as well as the cuts on his body. Where his crosswheel once was, is now a long cut with bone, showing all around his midsection. At his rear, there is barely any skin, mostly atrophied muscle, and could see nerves and small vessels that are coated with solution to prevent infection.

Kevin started feeling sick in the stomach, and motioned for a Chansey to quickly get him a paper bag to barf in. Sheena fainted onto the floor, terrified silly by the gruesome wounds. Both Damos and Marcus starting growling angrily for what had happened to Arceus.

Damos thought, "If I ever get my hands on those Team Rocket scoundrels, I will make them wish that they never tried to torture Arceus!", as Marcus tried approaching Arceus. However, he began whimpering in fear, as Marcus and Damos tried getting closer, to the point of him screaming in fear, pleading, "Please, don't hurt me! Don't come any closer! Please, have mercy on me!"

He felt vunerable now with his exposed body, and shivered in fear. His eyes widened, and he flattened his ears, as he continued whimpering fearfully. Damos gently puts his hand to Arceus' head is, and delicately strokes it. At first he flinched at the touch, but felt reassured.

Meanwhile, we see Lucas walking down the hallway of the hospital, when he is met with a TV news crew from Unova, who proceeded to ask questions concerning Arceus' condition.

Lucas replied, "No comment, but don't worry, Arceus is still alive. Now get that camera outta my face!"

Back with Arceus, we see him talking with Damos about what had happened to him.

He remarks, "That's terrible! Now you've lost your power-again! Team Rocket must be wise to have removed your Life Plates like that."

Arceus added, "And now they're scattered all over the five regions. If I am to survive, the Life Plates must be brought back to me."

The founder of Michina Town himself nods with agreement, and after their conversation, Arceus fell back asleep.

Later that night, Arceus was having horrific nightmares, whimpering in his sleep. He dreamt:

Arceus found himself at the Spear Pillar, and suddenly, sinister-looking spaceships appeared and later, his fellow legendaries attacked him, seemingly out of betrayal. He screamed in pain, as he was brutally attacked, as multiple alien creatures appeared.

He woke up, screaming in terror of what is the come.
