Elfed
A tour of Elf town
The host club gathered with Mrs Clause, Trixie and Kyoya upon being called. Mainly out of curiousity and worry for Kyoya. They were led through a new set of door and into a continuously curving hallway. There wasn't a straight line to it. The walls were still that lovely warm colour with gold skirting boards and on the beautifully polished floor boards was a specially designed red and green rug with gold embroidery. It twisted and turned with the hall in the most remarkable way.
"Now this door here takes us to elf sleeping quarters. It's really cosy and each elf family has their own little spot." Kyoya happily informed them, indicating to the first door they came to, "come in and see."
Opening the door to reveal a giant slippery slide Kyoya immediately got on it and down he went. Honey immediately followed, giggling madly. Mori was next, keen to make sure nothing happened to the smaller teen. This was quite a comical sight considering the stoic boys size.
The twins eagerly followed suit, yelling and hooting with delight.
"Go on my dears. It's quite alright." Mrs Clause urged the hesitant Haruhi and Tamaki, "I'll wait for you here"
Tamaki made his way to the slide and despite his depression was heard giggling as he slide down the ridiculously long and loopy red slide. It truly was the most impressive slide ever created. It was more like a slide coaster with its loops and twists and jumps. Despite the craziness and heights it wasn't at all scary. No one could explain why it wasn't later on. It just had a feeling of fun and security about it.
Tamaki reached the bottom with Haruhi close behind and their eyes widened in awe at the sight before them.
In the walls were thousands of little doors. Rows of them, each made accessible by tinsel ladders and of course more slides. On ground level were tiny little buildings, all elf sized. Schools, shops and play grounds took up the space there with beautiful paths between them.
"This is amazing! How does this even fit in the building?" Haruhi gaped
"Magic" Trixie winked "we used to live outside before..."
She trailed off and shook her head, looking at Kyoya with concern. He didn't seem to have heard her though.
"Come on! I'll show you my place" she grinned and took Tamaki's hand. She half dragged Tamaki with the group in tow to one of the little doors on the second level, right at Mori's head height. Up she climbed and in she went, excited to show what was within. Tamaki followed along with the others. They were surprised to find that they were able to fit perfectly.
What greeted them was what could be described as a cute little two bedroom cottage. Everything was in Christmas colours and the decor was all warm and homely. The sitting area had a little fireplace, comfy looking Victorian style lounge, two arm chairs and a rug. Haruhi had to put it down to magic when she noticed that the fire made no smoke.
The kitchen was neat with every utensil one could wish for and plates tastefully on display. The little wood oven had Honey imaged all the little cakes he could make and as a result couldn't help grinning.
The group wasn't shown the bedrooms but they imagined they would be just as adorable as the rest of the place.
"You've done a great job sis! It looks amazing" Kyoya commented, "but we should press on. There is so much to see!"
Down the slide the elves went while the others simply stepped out.
The tour continued to a bakery, butcher, fruit and vegetable store, sweet shop and school. All of which were adorable and sweet with wonderful Christmas themes throughout. Tamaki particularly loved the school, where all the little elves practically smothered Kyoya in their enthusiasm. He had never seen Kyoya happier.
"So what do the little ones learn here?" Tamaki asked Kyoya as he too was subjected to curious little elves.
"Oh the basics... Reading, writing, mathematics, technical drawing, art, sewing, music, cooking, gaming... All the crafts and skills that are needed to perform tasks in the workshop." Kyoya beamed proudly "these guys will make amazing elves. They have carols all completed and mechanics too!"
"Did you just say gaming is a school subject here?" Hikaru and Kaoru gaped in unison.
"Of course! It's one of the major subjects" Trixie shrugged
"That's it. I'm not leaving" Hikaru stated with a chuckle "this is too awesome!"
Tamaki managed a smile but couldn't help looking at the changed Kyoya with a twinge of sadness. It just wasn't the same without the old Kyoya with them. He wondered if the others missed him too.
