A Day In The Life Of

A/N: Hello readers. A few announcements need to be made.

This fic will never truly ''end.'' Its an ongoing fic that I never intend (atleast in the near future) to stop updating. So eventually your bound to see a pairing you want. Sooner or later guys will also be added to this as well as villains.

Hell, I may even throw in one or two crossovers.

Serena's fist stopped just short of tapping on Rei's door. The blonde bit her bottom lip nervously as she stood outside Rei's bedroom. She knew she was in for an earful after what had taken place a three hours earlier.

The scouts had taken on another soul snatcher, resulting in the usual victory. This time, however, Serena and Rei had gotten into another shouting match during the fight and it all most ended in tragedy. Rei received a blast to the side via said soul snatcher that happen to see the opening. Rei was all righhat hat particular soul snatcher hadn't been as strong as the past few. Still.....for six agonizing seconds the scouts thought Sailor Mars was dead. She hadn't moved at all then groggily rose to her feet.

"Come in," Rei's voice came from the other side.

Serena gulped. That hadn't sounded like an angry tone....which could be very good or very bad. Probably the latter. Finally, she sighed. This time it was her fault that the argument had even started. She deserved whatever Rei would undoubtedly dish out. The door slid open and Serena stepped in. Her bare feet made no sound on the wooden floor as she closed the door and stepped further into the room.

Rei was kneeling, her back to Serena. She was wearing her usual shrine robes with her long raven hair cascading down her back. The silence was unnerving....atleast to one of the girls.

"L-Look...Rei...I'm sorry about what happened. It was stupid to start an argument in the middle of a fight. You could have been hurt...and...and..." Serena choked on her words, feeling tears brimming in her eyes.

Rei, remaining silent, rose. She turned and her eyes locked with the princess of the moon's. Once again the room was overcome with nearly unbearable silence as Serena felt herself trapped under Rei's unreadable gaze.

After what seemed like forever Rei finally spoke. "I can't accept your apology, Serena."

Serena's eyes went wide as it felt as though her world had just shattered into a million pieces. Her and Rei had arguments all the time...but....she never...newoulwould have imagined that.... Serena was on the verge bursting into tears at the thought that one of her closest friendships was ending right in front of her eyes.

Rei stepped forward, placing a finger on Serena's lips before replying. "Let me finish. I can't accept your apology until you've fully grasped what you've done. You have to truly feel sorry for what happened."

"I-I don't...understand." Rei sat on her bed, motioning for Serena to join her.

"Serena....I feel that discipline is something strongly needed in our line of work." She wa unt until Serena nodded in agreement before continuing. "And when someone acts out of line they should be set straight....don't you agree?"

"Yes." Serena was getting an odd feeling in the pit of her stomach. She had a strong sense of foreboding and it was telling her that she would be receiving more than just a talking to.

"So it's only natural that you be disciplined for your actions!" Rei smiled for the first time since they'd started this conversation.

"W-What did you have in mind?"

That deadly serious expression returned to Rei's face as she grabbed Serena, pulling the blonde into a laying position over her knees. "Oh, I think you know what I have in mind."

Grandfather looked up from his book.

"No, you fool!" The deadly serious look in his eyes told Chad that disagreeing was NOT an option. "You haven't been here as long as I have so your naive to such things. You didn't see the look in her eyes when she came through that front door! Rei is most dangerous when she's angry and judging from those sounds I'd say Serena's getting her upcomings!" Grandfather released Chad, allowing the young man to sit up.

"Then...what should we do Honorable Sensei?"

Another high-pitched scream caught the men's attention then Grandfather dropped to his knees, clasping his hands together and bowing his head.

"Pray damn you! Pray!"
