Internal Revenue Service-6

Quick AN: Thanks to raya and SMS for your reviews. Yes, *we* know that Farf is Irish, it\'s just that no one else does(at least not the bar patrons, I\'m sure the boys know)...like tart N said, \"He\'s gaijin and he\'s not american, and he doesn\'t say \'eh\' enough to be canadian, must be english!\" Oh and there is more. Sadly, there is so much more. I\'ll shut up now. -Tart X

Hunk?
Burning Love

2 nights later…

Yukino walked through the city’s streets, undeniably taking the one that would lead her to The Gray Kitten. The bar’s neon sign was only half-lit; the letters were dim while the bright pink kitten flashed from the roof. She had asked Yohji-san about the cat and had gotten some answer about neon gray being impossible to find, much like a girl as pretty as her. Yukino blushed, why did Yohji-san always make her feel like that? Or really, any part of this karaoke bar made her feel good inside. That was probably why she was going again tonight, even though Akiko and Miya had both been busy.

She walked into the first door of the bar and climbed down the small set of stairs smiling at the noises coming from beyond the second door. She peered inside shyly, not sure what to do, maybe she shouldn’t have come on her own after all.

“Yukinoooo-chaaaan! So lovely to see you! Where are Akiko and Miya?” Yohji sauntered towards the door, having obviously spotted her.

“I...I…Well, they have class early in the morning tomorrow, and I didn’t, I needed to get away from our apartment, and I just found myself…”

“Drawn to my immense charm and extraordinary good looks no doubt? Come in, come in! Let me introduce you to my friend, he’s not a match for me in looks, or charm, or anything really, but such an intelligent specimen of womanhood as yourself would already be aware of that, eh?” Yohji-san winked pointedly to the man beside him. “This is Ken, I’m sure he will protect you for the evening.”

The man beside Yohji-san was plain compared the bar owner, but he certainly wasn’t ugly! Yukino smiled at him. “I’m Tanaka Yukino, pleased to meet you.”

“Hidaka, Ken. Pleased to meet you as well. I am afraid however that I am not qualified to be your company for the evening.”

“Huh? Ken-ken, now, now…Yukino-chan came all the way out here, even without her friends. Normally, I would have no problem making sure one so beautiful was adored properly for the evening, but alas, I have to work.”

Yukino blushed at Yohji-san’s compliments. He was so suave.

“Work? Yohji, do you know what the word work even means?”

“Of course! Uhm….”

“He happens to be an *excellent* floor scrubber,” Schuldig-san draped an arm over the blonde man, coming up from behind him.

Yukino wondered at the slight blush on Yohji-san’s cheeks. He’d probably been drinking too much, again. She giggled. “It’s okay; I don’t wish to impose…”

“Impose? Preposterous! You are never an imposition, Yukino-chan! You are one of our most valued customers!” Yohji smiled at her brilliantly.

(For those who are interested: Schuldig was really getting disgusted with his Pookums. It was one thing for Yohji to flirt with the customers…But this was getting boring. And they really ought to have been going to see the boys. Those brats had been MIA for at least three days now. It wasn’t his fault that he and his lover kept long hours; they had a bar to run. The brats ought to be up and around whenever it was convenient for him. He had even tried to reach both of them telepathically; the gibberish about Poogles and Cybunnies had caused him to quit trying. He really wondered what those two were up to…though Yohji had pointed out that he probably didn’t really want to know.)

“No…no…look, I’ll just get a drink…”

“I know just the thing,” Schuldig-san murmured walking towards the bar. Yukino followed him, and Yohji-san dragged Ken-san behind her. She wondered what her mother would say about this situation. She would probably scold her for being around so many men by herself, after commenting on how handsome they all were.

She accepted her drink from Schuldig-san with a polite thank-you and a rather generous tip, which she increased after tasting her drink. How did he always know just what she was in the mood for like that! She took a seat at the bar and noticed that a young boy was waiting by the stage to sing.

“Ah, Ken keep Yukino company, I do have work to do!” Yohji-san handed the dark-haired man a drink and sauntered off towards the karaoke machine.

(For those who are interested: Ken didn’t think he was fit company for Yukino as he had been drinking an awful lot already. In fact he had been drinking strawberry daiquiris since he had gotten to the bar well before opening, around 1 in the afternoon. The only perk to one of his ex-teammates having a bar was that he could always count on a drink when he needed it. And today he had needed it. He had been rejected from yet another job, and offered one at a strip bar! Not just any strip bar, but a gay one! Why did everyone think he was a gay pervert? That job was reserved for Schuldig and Yohji! Yukino wasn’t all that pretty, but she lit up whenever Yohji was charming her…she was passable, and he was drunk, so passable was quickly becoming beautiful. And it was starting to seem like he needed to sleep with a girl, just to prove he wasn’t gay anymore…and he wanted to think of himself as a gentleman, and that’s something a gentleman would not do…Anyway, to end Ken’s rambling for you, he’d been drinking *way* too much.)

Yukino stared down at her drink. Ken-san was very quiet, obviously. She wondered how he knew such boisterous individuals as Yohji-san and Schuldig-san. “So…uhm…how do you know those two?” She voiced her thoughts aloud, still staring at her drink.

“Huh? Oh…well we we’re old friends.” Ken-san looked really flustered and Yukino wondered if he drank as much as Yohji-san.

“Oh. Well you don’t have to sit with me if you don’t want to.”

“No! No! I mean,” Ken-san sat down at the bar beside her. “I just…I’ve had a really rotten day. But I know you can’t want to hear about that!”

“It’s okay, I don’t mind.” She really didn’t mind. She had come to the bar because she had nothing else to do. Besides, even if he was no Yohji-san, Ken-san was kind of cute in his own way. And far less strange as well. “Can I ask you something though?”

“Yes of course.”

“Why do you have that pin?” Yukino blushed amazed at her own forwardness. Ken-san’s pin was a triangle decorated with rainbows, and she was pretty sure she knew what it meant. She wondered if Ken-san had been dumped by his boyfriend and that was why he was so upset.

“This?” He pointed at the pride pin, confused. “Oh, Aya gave it to me one day; he told me it was a good luck charm.”

(He failed to mention that he only wore it because he was afraid of what Aya might do to him if he didn’t properly appreciate the gift. He wasn’t a coward after all…Aya was just scary…and he’d been even more psycho than usual since Yohji and Schu had bought the bar.)

Yukino laughed and blushed. He didn’t know what it meant. That was so funny. It was probably funnier than it would have been, if she hadn’t finished her drink already. “So you don’t know what it means?”

“Well, I didn’t want Aya to get mad at me. He might give me flowers, and that would just be gay!”

Stay tuned: Yohji and Schu are…working? Where are Nagi and Omi at? What *are* they up to? Will the taxes get done? Or even brought up? Next Chapter:
