Confrontment
*****Chapter Six (Confrontment)*****
“Konzen!” Goku’s voice cut through Konzen’s sleep. He opened his eyes to see big golden ones staring right back at him about four inches away. Konzen glared up into the excited innocent eyes.
“Get. Off. Of. Me. Now.” Konzen said slowly yet in a deadly tone. Unaffected by the angered blonde, Goku hopped off and landed on the floor.
“Konzen! Can we go see Ten-chan now? We can’t play ball without him and Kenren. I wanna go play ball with them. C’mon Konzen. Please?” Goku begged looking like a puppy.
Konzen sighed as he watched the pathetic act from the saru. The boy couldn’t understand what it meant to be sick. He didn’t understand that Tenpou couldn’t play with him. Goku thought Konzen was preventing him from seeing Tenpou. “Goku, Tenpou is still ill. He can’t play with you until he gets better.” The blonde explained sitting up in bed.
“But I’m bored! And Ten-chan can’t be havin’ fun just sitting around.” Goku argued.
“Goku, Tenpou can’t play. He has to sit around and do nothing. He isn’t feeling well.” Konzen tried again patience growing thin.
“Did he get hurt that bad? Like Nataku?” Goku asked innocently and concerned.
Konzen looked away and stood up. He refused to answer Goku’s question. “Go find the old hag and play with hir.” Konzen brushed his hair and dressed. When he stepped out of his room, there was Goku, waiting there like a puppy to be played with.
Konzen rubbed his temples and sat at his desk to finish up yesterday’s paperwork. He was behind again. This time, it wasn’t due to the saru. It was due to his constant visits to see Tenpou and Kenren. He had heard of Kamis becoming ill, but not for this long. “Bothersome.” He sighed.
Kenren loped through the hall to the gym. He was late for his sparring session again. Staying up all night making sure Tenpou didn’t hurt himself caused him to sleep in and that was costing him. He tried to behave the best he could so his tardiness didn’t get him in too much trouble. He didn’t need to be confined to his residence. That meant he couldn’t look after Tenpou. Turning a corner he bumped into Li Toten and two of the Privates he saw with Tenpou. Oh, this was a bad time.
“Watch where you’re going you ruffian!” One of the men said before they realized it was Kenren. The men helped Li Toten to his feet and the elder man glared before breaking into a broad grin.
“Taisho. What a pleasure to ‘bump’ into you this fine morning.” He said politely, with hidden motive. “How is the dear Gensui doing? I heard he fell ill. How sad.” He mocked.
Kenren bit his tongue and clenched his fists tight enough that his nails were digging into his palms. He needed to keep from losing control for Tenpou’s sake. “He’s doing great. Now if you will excuse me, I’m late.” Kenren glowered and tried to push past the three men. As he thought, they wouldn’t let him pass.
“Is it true the Gensui has been writhing in his sleep? The poor man. Traumatized. That must be terrible to deal with, am I right General?” Li Toten asked clearly trying to provoke the raven haired Taisho.
“I wouldn’t know.” He said trying to get past them again.
“Really? I also heard you have been staying with the Marshal taking care of him.” He smirked and the two Privates snickered. “Tell me, does he still want you inside him after what happened? Or did that little mishap satiate his whoreish hunger?” Li Toten lowered his voice so only the four of them could hear.
Kenren snapped. Before the General could even think about his actions, he slugged the elder man across his face. The strike knocked the man to the ground and the other two moved to apprehend Kenren. That was exactly what they had been waiting for. But unlike Tenpou, Kenren fought back and beat off the other two men then ran off. Oh how he would have loved to stay and beat the living shit out of all three of them, but if he had he knew that would land him in jail and leave Tenpou to take care of himself. The man couldn’t even get off the couch, how could he take care of himself?
Li Toten stood up and watched Kenren run off. “Write this up immediately and send in a request to have him confined to his residence or even arrested. Either way, we will have him out of the way then we can deal with both of them.”
The guards saluted him and rushed off. “This will be the end of one Tenpou Gensui and one Kenren Taisho.” Li Toten laughed to himself.
Kenren approached his sparring partner and the man grinned the same as Li Toten and his gang. “So Taisho, give me some pointers for the next time I get him. What makes him moan? Is there any little trick you use to have him screaming your name by climax, or does he only scream for me?”
Not this guy too. Kenren wasn’t sure if he could refrain from kicking the living crap out of this man if they continued. “I’m not feeling well, I think I’m gonna skip out on this match.”
“So, he doesn’t scream for you?” The man asked, but Kenren just kept walking away. “Run away Kenren. I’m beginning to wonder who the woman really is in the relationship. Many think it’s Tenpou, but by the way you’re acting, I’d say it’s you.”
