Repairing Feelings
Sorry to dissapoint, but this long ass chapter has no smut in it. It's strictly PG-13.
There'll be some smut in the next chapter methinks~
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
School was long passed ended, and Kagura was at home in her steamy bathroom. She had just toweled off after a steamy shower and was in front of the mirror. Kagura grabbed her towel and wiped a large circle in the bathroom mirror and stared at herself for a while.
“Okay Kagura. You haven’t done this before, but tonight is pretty important. Just take it step by step and you’ll do just fine.”
She picked up a black tube, uncapped the top and twisted the gold cylinder underneath until a soft red protuberance emerged. Tonight, Kagura was going to put on some makeup. She put the lipstick to her lips and smeared it on cautiously, and then pursed her lips together, like she’d seen in the movies to make the creamy substance even on her now puffy lips.
“One down…”
Kagura sighed and grabbed the blush from the side of the sink, grabbed the brush and dusted her cheeks ever so slightly. She wanted to look tickled, not whorish. She then followed the blush with the eye shadow, the mascara and the eyeliner. Kagura looked at herself in the mirror and smiled a little.
“Not too bad for the first time. I must say, I look dead sexy….right now.”
She chuckled and opened the door, letting the steamy air out of the bathroom and scampered to her bedroom to find something appropriate to wear. She closed the door and let the towel around her breasts plop to the floor around her feet, then stepped toward the closet. She opened it up and gazed at the clothes she had inside it, then sighed.
“Oh what to do. I don’t want to be too formal, but I don’t want to be informal either.”
She tapped her foot for a few seconds then grabbed a knee length white floral skirt and a pink blouse from her closet and tossed them on the bed. She slipped on white bikini-style panties (because she wanted to be modest, but not too modest incase something happened) and a white bra with tiny roses (because something had to match). Kagura looked at the clock on the wall that pointed to five minutes until seven o’clock.
“Shit, I’m running late.”
Kagura ran to the bathroom again for the final step. She quickly picked up the hair dryer and dried her hair quickly, and combed it, so it looked fairly neat on her head. And right on schedule, the doorbell rang.
“Oh thank goodness.”
Kagura grabbed her purse off her dresser and ran to the door, calling out a farewell to her parents before opening the door, where she stood stunned and embarrassed. Yomi stood in front of her, all dolled up, and very informal. She stepped through the door and shut it behind her.
“You look very nice tonight Yomi.”
“You look ravishing Kagura.”
Yomi smiled a soft smile before reaching for Kagura’s hand and kissing it softly. Both Kagura and Yomi blushed.
“Well Kagura, I was thinking of going to a dinner, than a movie, my treat. Where do you want to eat.”
“Anywhere is fine Yomi. Though I am craving some Calamari.”
“You know, me too. I know this great place just down the street a block or two.”
“Sounds like a plan to me. You lead, because I don’t know where I’m going. And I want to look at that cute toosh.”
The girls giggled softly, and then burst into hysterics.
“Oh Miss Kagura, who uses the word ‘toosh’ in this millennium?”
“Your grandmother, now start walkin’ before I give you a swift kick in that cute toosh.”
“As you wish.”
The two young ladies walked down the street side by side, and eventually Kagura walked closer and closer, finally placing her head on Yomi’s shoulder as they walked.
The two young women reached the restaurant, ordered, and had a delicious and undisturbed dinner. They then walked to the nearest movie theater and saw a movie involving a detective and the mafia, which the girls found too gory, but still sat through. All in all, the girls had a good night, and Kagura was feeling less blue. After the movie, Yomi started to walk Kagura home, and they talked about all sorts of things. Favorite foods, colors, sports, favorite teachers, which they both agreed was a tie between Nyamo and Ms. Yukari. Then Kagura grew silent.
“Yomi.” Kagura asked her date.
“Yeah Kagura?”
“You said last night that you might have some feelings. Did tonight help you decide anything for certain?”
Kagura stopped walking and layed her back on a cement wall that was meant to be a fence to a yard.
“You know Kagura, I think it might have. But I really don’t know for certain. There’s something there, whether it’s a feeling of strong friendship or of love. All I know is that you’re high on my list right now. Why do you ask?”
Kagura blushed and dug her toe into the ground, watching something non existent on the ground before speaking.
“Well Yomi. You’ve done so much for me these last two nights. You helped me forget what Sakaki did, hell, you helped me forget Sakaki. I just wanted to know if you were helping out a friend or if you were helping out somebody you loved. It’s nice to know that you still don’t know. I mean, I’d like you to be mine, but it’s still nice to know” Kagura looked up “that somebody could care about me so much that they’d take me to dinner and a movie on a whim to help me, homely little Kagura, get over somebody that I loved so much. It just makes me feel like a person again, and I wanted to thank you.”
Yomi looked at Kagura and stood up in front of her, pulled her chin up so Kagura was looking into her eyes and kissed her. A soft, tender kiss, but behind it was so much passion. The only thing that could have made that kiss more passionate and romantic were fireworks that exploded in the shape of red hearts, as corny as it sounds. Yomi pulled her lips away from Kagura’s and a wide grin appeared on her face.
“Well Kagura, that sealed the deal.”
Kagura blushed and asked softly, “And?”
Yomi giggled softly, held her close and whispered in her ear, “I’ll give you a hint. I’m in love with a very tan woman, with short black hair, very voluptuous breasts and this certain somebody is a fantastic swimmer.”
Kagura blushed and kissed her neck lightly, resting her head on Yomi’s shoulder. “Thank you Yomi. I appreciate it more than you’ll ever know.”
The two girls held each other for a little while longer before continuing to walk down the lane, going nowhere in particular. Both of the women felt a walk was in order to seal their relationship. As they walked two familiar figures crossed their path at a familiar intersection to all of the girls. Chiyo-chan crossed the street first, followed by a particularly curious looking Osaka. Both Kagura and Yomi looked at one another and laughed before Yomi called for Osaka and Chiyo.
“Hey you two, don’t you think you should be in bed?”
Chiyo stopped in the middle of the street while Osaka kept walking. Osaka turned and waved at Yomi, a wide smile on her face, and her normal glazed eyes. That is before Osaka plowed over Chiyo. Osaka helped Chiyo to her feet, applogizing as she always did while Kagura and Yomi walked to where the two girls had their accident.
“I’m so sorry Chiyo!”
“It’s okay, really!” Chiyo accepted, still wondering what had happened in those few short seconds. “What were you thinking about anyway?”
“Oh, uh, nothin’ really.” Osaka quickly spat out, trying to cover up what she had actually been thinking, since she was trying to reach for Chiyo’s pigtails just moments before Yomi called to the two of them. Those dreams of flying twelve year olds were starting to get to her. As Yomi and Kagura approached, Osaka changed the subject quickly by almost yelling out, “Hey Yomi! Hey Kagura!”
Yomi and Kagura stopped suddenly, startled by the decibel rating of Osaka’s greeting. Yomi broke the silence first. “Um…hey you two.”
“Hello Miss Yomi, Miss Kagura.” Chiyo said and bowed quickly, “What are you two doing tonight?”
Yomi blushed and rubbed the back of her neck, scuffing her foot softly, knowing she couldn’t avoid the answer but trying to explain through blatant body language that she didn’t want to answer it. Kagura caught the clue and replied quickly to Chiyo, “Oh, uh. Well we’re on a date.”
Chiyo’s face contorted quickly into a face of pure disgust. “You’re cheating on Miss Sakaki?! How dare you?”
This time Yomi piped up, “Woah woah, no, it’s not like that Chiyo. Calm down for a second.” Yomi looked at Kagura. “You’re going to have to explain it dear.”
“Well Chiyo, something horrible happened the other day. It just so turned out that Sakaki and I are no longer together and” Kagura intertwined her arm in Yomi’s “my knight in shining armor here came and rescued me.”
Chiyo gasped and smiled. “How romantic! I never knew Yomi was a ladies man. Or ladies woman…”
Osaka looked at Kagura blankly, with her patented goofy smile, “A date huh? Wow, it sounds like fun!” Osaka looked at Chiyo and with the same smile asked, “Wanna go on a date sometime Chiyo-chan?” Needless to say, the entire group felt a bit awkward, but Chiyo nevertheless answered Osaka’s question.
“Uh…sure? Why not?” Chiyo said softly, not sure if this was the right thing to do, and hoping Osaka would forget about it.
“How ‘bout tomorrah Chiyo-chan?” Osaka retorted almost immediately.
“Oh…uh, okay then.”
“It’s a date!” Osaka said happily and wrapped her arm around Chiyo’s shoulders, which was a fairly simple task since Chiyo was a very small girl. Kagura and Yomi felt so awkward by this turn of events that they ended their already short conversation.
“Well, we should be off!” Kagura said quickly, with much haste in her voice.
“Uh, yeah! I have curfew coming up in a few minutes.” Yomi added quickly, and both of the girls scampered off, giggling nervously and holding each other’s hands.

After quite a bit of walking and chatting about things the two new lovers liked and disliked, they found themselves walking back to Kagura’s house to end the evening. As the two turned into Kagura’s yard, they saw something they were not expecting in the least. Sakaki was on the porch, asleep, looking very peaceful, and yet extremely uncomfortable. Kagura sighed and turned to Yomi.
“Thank you Yomi, for the amazing evening.” Kagura kissed Yomi tenderly and held her close. “But I think you should leave before you witness what’s going to happen. I’m not sure that I want to be here for this, but I have to.”
“I understand.” Yomi kissed her again and then once more on the forehead. “You two need to work out your problems. I’ll see you tomorrow at school sweat heart.”
“Goodnight Yomi.”
“Goodnight Kagura, my love.” And with this, Yomi turned and walked back to her house, making it home safely about ten minutes later.
Kagura walked softly over to Sakaki and sat next to her, rubbing her back and calling her name softly until she awoke as to not scare her awake.
Sakaki grumbled and asked in a sloshed voice, “What time is it?”
“It’s late Sakaki, about two or three in the morning. Why are you here?”
“I wanted to talk to you and tell you I was sorry.”
“There really isn’t much to talk about Sakaki, and I don’t know how I’ll ever forgive you, not to sound harsh. What you did hurt me pretty badly.”
Sakaki started to sob softly, “I know. I feel so horrible. I don’t know what came over me. I’m sorry you had to see it at all. I feel like an animal.”
“Oh now Sakaki, you’re not an animal, just a human being. I’m not going to hold it over your head that you did this. It’s not something that’s going to scar me for life. I mean, yes I’m hurt Sakaki, but honestly I’ve already moved on.”
Sakaki looked at Kagura shocked and hurt and broke down into hysterical tears. Kagura rubbed Sakaki’s strong back, trying to comfort her. “Now, now Sakaki, none of this. You and I both know you’re stronger than this. Did you expect anything else? We’re young! I’m going to spring back quickly, and you should too. I’ll never forget you or what you’ve taught me when we were together, and I hope you never forget me either.” Kagura gently turned Sakaki’s chin and wiped the tears off her cheeks. “Now, you listen here. This is what you’re going to do. You’re going to stop crying first, then what you’re going to do is get up off this step, go home, and live your life. Then, you’re going to meet a nice girl and you’re going to stay with them until you grow old and grey. Then I will forgive you, you hear me?”
Sakaki nodded, smiled, and gave Kagura one last kiss. She then pulled away and blushed. “S-sorry Kagura, it’s a force of habit.”
“Not a problem. I’ll let you have that one for old time’s sake. No hard feelings Sakaki?”
“No hard feelings.” Sakaki agreed with a nod. Kagura stood up and helped Sakaki to her feet. They looked at each other and hugged one last time.
“Good luck, and I wish only the best for you.” Kagura whispered in Sakaki’s ear before letting her go and watching Sakaki walk out of her life for good.
