Rion ran through the hospital, knowing exactly what room he was to go into. Nurses shouted at him to slow down or stop, and one even tried to tackle him, but he managed to evade them. Finally he got to his twin's room and threw the door open.
"GUY!" He screamed, rushing to the bed and grabbing the hand that wasn't bandaged. "Guy, I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have left you, I shouldn't have let you leave me! Please say something, anything!"
Kaeri had told Rion what the deal was. Guy was alive and stable, but he had massive trauma done to his head… and a fair amount of mental trauma as well. He recognized people, but didn't seem to know much. He also wasn't speaking.
The young man on the bed turned to look at his twin and frowned. His bandaged hand came up and gently caressed his cheek. Rion leaned into it slightly and turned his face to press a loving kiss to the exposed fingertips. Guy made a small noise of surprise and pulled his hand back.
"It's okay. You're safe here. We're not going to let them hurt you ever again." Rion whispered, tears running down his cheeks. Both twins were reunited, and Guy was on the mend- physically. It seemed like everything might turn out just fine.

Raoul still required Rion to be at work. The young Blondie threw himself into his tasks, doing a much better job than before he found his twin. In fact, he was up for a promotion soon. He would be given a precinct in Eos and would manage it, generally taking care of all the politics that went with running a city. He was definitely moving up in the world.
Guy had since remembered everything, luckily the bought of amnesia was only temporary. And he was completely healed physically… all except for one thing. His leg would have to be in a brace for a very long time, possibly forever. He could walk and run just fine, but the half mongrel-half Blondie had too much pride to be seen with it on. So he spent all day sitting in his bed, staring out the window. The young man didn't even respond to his brother.
All in all, it made life very strained at Kaeri's home. And today Rion had news for the family. Ordinarily, it would be fantastic news and they would all celebrate. But the Blondie didn't know how to handle it with his brother. But he might as well jump into it.
At the dinner table, he came out with it. "I was given the precinct in Upper Tanagura. This means that I'll have to live there to be able to run it smoothly. They've even given me a penthouse in the Tanagura Tower." Daryl and Kaeri smiled and raised their glasses in congratulations. But Jemi bit his lip and looked over at Guy, who was unaffected by the news.
Rion also looked at Guy. "I…. I wanted to take you with me." He said, a little hesitantly.
Guy just shrugged. "Whatever."
The young Blondie looked down at his plate and poked his food. "Oh… well… I mean… I thought you'd be excited. We… we had this planned since we were little and I thought you'd want to come."
But Guy just kept eating. "Like I said, whatever. You want me to come, then I will. You don't want me to, then I'll stay here. It doesn't matter to me."
Rion suddenly stood and hurried out of the room. He couldn't stand hearing something like that from his twin. The one person in the whole world that he had left for family.
Everyone else at the table glared at Guy. The half mongrel looked up and rolled his eyes. "Like I did anything wrong! Nobody cares, really. He can live just fine on his own anyways." He stabbed his fork at a piece of meat, but Kaeri snatched his plate away.
"Fine. Then you have to find your own place too." She said matter of factly before leaving the room. Guy rolled his eyes and headed to the bedroom.

Rion was in his room, packing angrily. The normally neat and tidy young man was throwing clothes haphazardly into his suitcase, grumbling as he did. Guy entered the room and leaned against the door frame, watching his twin. "I'm sorry." He said, not really sounding sincere.
Rion blew up. "You're NOT sorry! What do you care about me anymore? Ever since you went and did something stupid and got your god damn leg crushed, you haven't so much as TOUCHED me. You're not the only one who's dealing with problems right now! Did you stop to think about how I felt when you were missing? I almost died! And now you act like I didn't care."
"Am I not allowed to change? Maybe I didn't want to live with you in the first place. I just want to be alone for a change."
Rion and Guy stood there, staring at each other for a long while. They were both breathing heavily from arguing. Then the young Blondie shook his head and wiped at his eyes. When he spoke, he had sobs in his voice. "I can't believe that you don't love me anymore. After everything we've gone through and done…."
The mongrel rolled his eyes. Then he moved forward to gently put his arms around Rion. "I'm sorry." He said, not sure of what else he COULD say. The young Blondie wasn't really listening. He tilted his face up, eyes open and wondering, even looking a little frightened. Then they closed and Guy knew what he wanted. He leaned down and brushed his lips against his twin's, then slowly pressed harder to kiss him like he knew the other liked to be kissed.
Though it didn't change anything, the kiss made Rion feel better. Like there was some sense of normalcy for the moment. So they just simply kissed until Rion broke it by yawning. Then they both climbed into the same bed and just held each other for the night.
