Dreams of a soul mate

A.N.: Sorry it took so long people, but.....(o.k. I have decided to redo this chapter, now that I\'ve re-read it,....it\'s crap, so here we go.) well I been through a lot of stuff since I last updated, this will be the last chapter, although I may decide to do an Epilogue later on, anyway please go read, enjoy, and review.


Chapter 7: Battle from Hell...................but together at last


The week went by faster than D could have imagined, and he found himself sighing as he continued on his way to find her in person, but even the short distance between them felt like too much. The Symbiot could feel the stress on D, \"I can\'t stop until we are together this time.\"

The Symbiot sighed, \"Somehow I didn\'t think you would.\"

D rode his horse to exhaustion and had to walk to the next town to buy a new one, and some water this time, \"We have to find her soon, she\'s so far, yet so close.\"

\"D, calm down, if you wear yourself down how will you fight to free her?\"

\"I can\'t stop, I have to find her!\"

Two days of no sleep and D sat next to another dead horse, \"D you need to rest.\"

\"I can\'t.\" He sighed almost in defeat, until a soft wind with her scent blew across him.

He looked up as he felt her arms around him, but he couldn\'t see her, her voice was soft as she started singing an old lullaby,

\"Hush my darling,
Hush my dear,
When you wake up I\'ll be here
No matter what you may do
No matter what others say to you,
I\'ll always be here.

If the sun never shines
I\'ll be by your side,
If the moon looses its glow

D cracked his eyes open to find himself laying on her bed, he could feel the magic she was using to help him rest this time, \"Sleep now D, the day after tomorrow draws near, and you must be rested.\"

D nodded sleepily as he kissed her cheek and snuggled into her warmth. The Symbiot looked up to see an almost fearful look on her face, \"May all the powers protect you, my Love.\"

The Symbiot hid himself, feeling almost like crying at seeing them as they were, so desperate to see one another in person, but also so afraid of the trials to come. It worked its way to D\'s body and watched over it as D rested and Amara replenished his strength and with a touch of her magic added to it once again.

D a woke the next night and sighed as he still smelt her on him, finally ready to continue on his journey as the Symbiot slept. He walked to the next village, one so desolate only a few were still living in it, \"I want to buy a horse.\"

The man sneered, \"$300,000 and if you don\'t like the price you won\'t find another one.\"

D handed him the gold and took his saddle to the horse, the man\'s eyes were wide as he looked at the money before pocketing it quickly and opening the door that horses left through, \"Thank you sir, please enjoy your new horse.\"

D rode outside and started at a slow paces taking in the dead land these humans called home. He urged the horse into the sparse forest just outside of it and looked back, feeling the death in the air, he was very close to the thing that kept him away from his beloved and soon he would destroy it and meet her in person. The Symbiot stirred at the sense of magic in the air, \"D....something is not right here......\"

\"I know, but I won\'t stop.\"

\"D....duck!\"

He rolled off of the horse as a blast of black flame destroyed his horse, \"I lose more horses that way.\"

\"D NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR JOKES!!!! HERE COMES ANOTHER ONE!\"

D rolled again and came up to a sight that would have had angels pissing their pants, millions of mutants, thousands of demons, hundreds of Devils, and this time they had a leader. A Devil with long flowing black hair, blood red eyes, and large black leather wings stood next to a stone castle with no doors and only one window in the highest tower. The winds blew harshly as the demons jumped excitedly with the thought of battle in their little brains. Their leader frowned darkly at D, and his voice boomed over all of the chatter, \"KILL HIM!\"

The demons and Devils smirked as they pulled out various weapons and advanced on him, \"D....maybe we should run now...\"

\"I won\'t run....\" his eyes blazed blue, \"they will not keep me from her, nothing will.\"

The Symbiot sighed, \"If we live through this, you realize I want a vacation....\"

D looked menacingly at all the creatures between himself and his mate before he began the fight, jumping into the bunch of them. His sword slicing at bodies, blood spraying in wide arches into the air and onto him, staining his skin red. The mutants and demons began taking swipes at him getting in a few good slices at his sides and in the process removing the top part of his armor, the wind blew his hat towards the castle and into the window. The devils laughed as his blood splashed on to the ground, even their leader wore a satisfied smirk as he watched the fighting.

D growled low as he rushed forward, managing to take the head of one laughing Devil before being pushed back by more demons and mutants. His body began wavering as his energy began running low, and the Symbiot came up on his own to take out a couple hundred demons and mutants with a spell. This just made the others attack more fiercely when they realized they were going against a worthy opponent.

A Devil with neon green hair chuckled as he pulled his own sword and began moving through the crowd of lower creatures and began his own fight with D. \"You\'ll never get past us all. Why do you insist on trying, half-breed?\"

D growled as he launched himself forward, narrowly missing the Devil\'s throat, \"Someone like you wouldn\'t understand.\"

He put his sword through the Devil only to have the Devil\'s go through his side as well. The Devil coughed, \"Probably not, but at least I got a piece of you before I die.\"

D pulled back barely flinching as blood poured out of the wound from the Devil\'s sword and continued to fight the demons and mutants with the occasional Devil jumping in just to wear him down more. The leader laughed loudly as D fell to his knees and the mutants and demons began beating him on the ground. \"D you have to get up!\" The Symbiot was beginning to panic until he felt a familiar magic pull from within the castle.

The mutants, demons, and Devils all stopped and looked towards it as a magic within stirred for the first time in over a century...that they had \'sensed.\' The leader looked at D more closely before they felt the magic rush forward and they watched as the worst of his wounds healed and his energy returned somewhat. D stood steadily as he raised his blade again, his eyes an odd mixture of silver and blue as they glowed brightly, the leader moved back somewhat, \"KILL HIM, NOW!!!!!!!!!\"

The mutants, demons, and Devils all surged forward to follow their master\'s orders, but D was fighting in a new way than what they were used to, the Symbiot began using more of its magic to help as it managed to ask, \"Where the HELL did you learn to fight like this?\"

\"I didn\'t,\" he dodged a blow and killed said demon with a downward slice, \"but Amara did!\"

The Symbiot looked around, \"so she\'s what is within the castle. We may just pull this off D.\"

\"But what is she doing to herself by helping me like this?\" Dodge, slice, kill, next Devil. \"How can she heal me without blood?\"

The Symbiot thought for a second, \"Well there are two ways......one is using the blood that is in you....and the other much more likely one is that she is taking your wounds for you.\"

D froze as he looked down at his left hand, \"TELL ME YOU AREN\'T SERIOUS!!!!!\"

He dodged an attack as the Symbiot looked up, \"I won\'t lie to you...not about this.\"

\"SHIT!\"

D moved back some as his side was sliced open and looked at the creatures he still needed to kill. He concentrated on his sword until it glowed blue with one slice he finished the mutants, but left himself panting from exertion. \"D I don\'t think that was wise...you still have a lot of creatures to kill.\"

\"I know, but if I can pull it off just two more times....it\'ll just be me and their leader then.\"

\"D...WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO GET THE POWER FOR THIS?!?!?\"

\"I\'m going to use our bond.\"

The Symbiot gasped, \"Please tell me you are kidding.\"

\"If I can pull this off on my own twice more, and get re energized from our bond, I can take on him.\"

\"Before or after you kill you and her both?\"

\"I won\'t let her die, and I have no intention of dying either.\" His sword began glowing again as he looked at the demons and Devils left, \"I WILL NOT DIE!!!!\" Silver light pulsed in a straight line against his blade, blending with his blue as he sliced at them, finishing the demons until he stood looking at his remaining enemies. Sweat poured off of his skin as he began walking towards them.

The Devils looked to their leader before going for D again, several just trying to harm him without getting in range for him to hit them, and other\'s taking pleasure in dying while giving him much more serious wounds......again as he was down and the devils advanced her magic from the castle surged forward, pushing them back and healing the worst of his wounds, while replenishing his strength somewhat, inside the castle a pain filled scream peirced everyone\'s ears.

D summoned a large amount of energy to finally finsish the last of the Devils before turning to his last remaining enemy between them.

\"You are the one she reached through her dream magic aren\'t you?\"

D only nods as he holds himself at ready, awaiting the inevitable attack, which as the Leader\'s eyes glaze over in anger he releases the black flame, \"SHIT!\" D dodges but is unable to move fast enough to spare his right arm the honor of getting burnt. A scream from the tower stills them both, \"Amara.\"

\"She\'s trying to awaken......this can\'t be happening!\" He glared at D, \"it is because of YOU that she is regaining the fight to awaken!\" He raised his hand and sent a continual blast at him, moving with him, trying to catch D completely within his flame. \"YOU MUST DIE!!!! PRINCESS AMARA IS SUPPOSED TO MARRY ME!!! ME!!! THEN I WILL RULE THESE LANDS!!!\"

D glared as he continued to elude the black flame, \"you don\'t deserve her.\"

\"AND YOU DO?!?!\"

\"She chose me, not the other way around.\"

\"Then if I get rid of you, maybe she will see the darkness, and finally be mine! I\'ve waited too long for you to spoil this, half-breed.\"

D snarled, he was so sick of being called that, \"I may not be a full vampire, but neither is she! Did it ever occur to you that you should let her be happy?\"

\"What does her happiness have to do with anything!??\"

\"HER HAPPINESS IS EVERYTHING!\" D lunged forward, hoping to hit something vital and end this battle, but luck was not with him as the Devil moved and hit him with the flame as he flew past him.

D screamed as his flesh caught fire, but immediately fell silent as energy pulsed from castle seconds before there was a great explosion and there in the debris stood Amara, burnt, cut, scraped, and bleeding. But the look in her eyes as they looked at the Devil made even D shudder with its coldness. As her eyes moved to D\'s almost broken form her eyes softened as she moved towards him, \"D, we finally meet in person.\"

The Devil moved quickly out of her way, almost afraid to even speak after the look she had given him, she tore her wrist and offered it to him just as D raised his to offer to her. They each drank only shortly from one another only wishing to heal their wounds quickly. The Devil\'s anger grew, realizing what she had managed to do through her dreams, she was already bound to D and as this thought processed, his anger grew towards them both. \"If I cannot have you, then you shall die as well.\"

D and Amara turned towards him and with a nod split up walking around him, their own energy growing with their anger as thoughts of how this Devil had caused their mate harm. \"You may try and kill me, but you won\'t succeed, you tried that tactic before you knew who I was, or have you forgotten.\"

The Devil growled before sending the Dark Flame flying at her, she dodged and D sliced at him, he turned and sent the flame at him, only to be hit by her from behind with a blast of energy. He stopped and looked at them both, working so perfectly together, \"I will not die like this!\" His energy wrapped around him and Amara quickly pulled D back as his humanoid form was replaced by something resembling a very large, very angry, black dragon, wrapped in the Darkest of Hell\'s fire. \"NOW YOU DIE!\"


They parted and dodged the extremely large blast of black flame that it sent at them, Amara looked worriedly at D, she needed a sword, she touched her chest and D watched as she slowly pulled out a glowing sword and nodded at him. They both attacked with their swords glowing brightly, slashing the dragon into two and taking out its heart at the same time.

They stood looking at each other on the bloodied battle field and laughed before kissing each other fiercely for the first time in person. The Symbiot chuckled, glad for everything to finally be over and for them to all finally be together. Amara\'s sword disappeared as they kissed and D pulled back, \"What kind of sword was that?\"

She smiled slyly, \"a soul sword, a weapon that your soul creates in times of crisis, although it isn\'t always a sword.\" She turned and began pulling him towards the nearest village.

\"Where are we going?\"

\"To an Inn, we have a lot of talking to do, not to mention some healing, and my future King, we shall have to arrange our marriage.\"

\"KING?\"

\"Of course, you are my soulmate, and my future king.\" She kissed his cheek before pulling him into the Inn and beginning the process of setting up their wedding.


Later as they walked into their room, all their plans made and paid for, D smirked as he led her to the bed, \"Now, my Queen, I believe a taste of you in reality is in order.\"

Amara smirked as she slowly slid down the torn and bloody dress she had been wearing, \"Oh really, what did you have in mind?\" she asked coyly.

D growled as he stripped out of his armor and sat on the bed, \"you know perfectly well, what I have in mind.\"

She smirked cutely, \"hmmm whatever could you possibly mean?\" She walked over to the bed and sat on his lap, just shy of letting him enter. \"Is this what you had in mind my Love?\"

D shook his head, \"Not yet....\"

She slowly allowed him to enter her, \"how is this?\"

D nodded as his fangs lengthened and his hands grasped her hips, \"Yes.\"

She moved against him lightly at first, gaining speed as he started to thrust with her and growled low in his throat. Amara purred as she pulled him into a kiss, her own fangs dangerously long as their tongues battled, and their passions mounted. Her muscles started tightening against him as their rhythm escalated and D found himself with his fangs buried in her throat as well as with her fangs buried in his as their release swept through them.

When the pulled back and looked at each other they kissed softly, too exhausted from the nights activities to really do much more. They laid back onto the bed and held each other as they fell asleep and the sun rose, this time, there was no need for dream magic to feel the other in their arms.

The two slept peacefully as the humans awoke to discover the night\'s events and that they were finally free from the Devils. Many parties were held that night, but the noise didn\'t even enter their minds, only thoughts of the other.

The land began to grow with vegiation again as it\'s Queen by birth and magic was returned to it, and truly happy, something the heathens would learn soon enough when she took up her rule again and the laws were reinforced.....
