Chapter 7 – Betrayal & Sacrifice

Seiya awoke to find he had rolled over and pulled Usagi into his arms. When odd feelings of tenderness washed through him he was revolted. Sitting up quietly, he pulled on his clothes before leaving a sleeping Usagi. He walked to the door knowing he had to get away to think. His feelings frightened and revolted him. ‘I am vampire, how can I have these weak human emotions? Does that make me weak?’

He walked to the front room to find Taiki and Yaten crashed in front of the TV channel surfing. They were arguing amicably about which show to watch. He walked up behind them and spoke.

“Hey guys I have to go out for a bit. Will you guys keep an eye on Usagi for me?” He hardly glanced at them so lost in thought.

“Sure, we can keep an eye on her for you.” Taiki grinned casually hiding his glee. Yaten nodded his agreement wearing his usual arrogant smirk.

Seiya nodded and headed for the door. “I won’t be more than a few hours. If she wakes up can you guys feed her?” If he had glanced back the look on his friends’ faces would have frightened him.

“Sure, Seiya we will take care of everything, you just go do whatever you need to.” Yaten glanced at Taiki in triumph.

Seiya wandered out to the street, not knowing where to head he just wandered aimlessly. He found himself making his way into the park still lost in thought. Walking to the bench where he had seen Usagi the other night he sat comfortably and stared sightlessly out at the view.

‘What am I going to do?’ He dropped his head into his hands and growled in frustration. ‘I am not used to these weak human emotions. I should never have let myself come to care for her. I should just let Taiki and Yaten help me drain her and be done with it.’

Letting his mind wander he thought over all of his options taking everything into consideration and still could find no viable solution. He wanted to turn her and share his future with her but he knew that as a vampire nothing was ever safe. Draining her was an option that he liked except for the regret tugging at him. Tired of his inner struggle he finally just accepted that he would have to sacrifice her.

Seiya was surprised to find a warm wetness slipping down his cheeks. He had not cried since before he became vampire and it angered him that it could happen now over one small angel.

‘Damn I am tired of this. I cannot afford to be weak and let soft human emotions guide my decisions. Fine I will just do it.’ With a decision made he finally stood and started home.

Usagi awoke to a cold bed by herself. Glancing around the room she could find no trace of Seiya anywhere. Noting his clothes were gone she wondered where he had gone. Climbing up off the bed she glanced down to see a red smear on the sheet. Blushing she knew what that meant and the realization shocked her. Walking across the room she picked up her clothes and dressed trying to repair her appearance.

Walking over to the door she slowly opened it and wandered out to the front room. When she entered she was shocked to see Taiki and Yaten sitting as if in wait for her. She stepped into the room and stopped.

“Oi Odango.” The tall brunette smiled and patted the couch. “Come sit down so we can get to know each other better.” She walked hesitatingly to the couch not sure if she should trust them. Sitting softly she tried to smile.

“Hey,” Her voice was soft and hesitant before she gulped in fear. Taiki smiled reassuringly before speaking

“So you and Seiya are pretty close huh?” He asked the question casually watching for her reply.

“I think so.” Her blush showed that they were closer than she was letting on. Yaten grinned at Taiki and nodded imperceptibly. Taiki knew what he intended and grinned. Scooting closer he smiled at Usagi with a feral look.

Usagi glanced at the brunette to see his smile and jumped when she felt the couch shift. The silver haired friend of Seiya had sat down next to her on her other side. Her face jumped from one face to the other and she felt fear creep through her. The look on both of their faces frightened her but she tried to pretend otherwise.

“So uh…how long have you two known Seiya?” Usagi tried to keep the fear out of her voice but it shook nonetheless.

“For a very long time, isn’t that right Yaten?” Taiki looked at Yaten meaningfully and his tone worried Usagi. Her gaze jumped to the silver haired Yaten.

“Hai we have known Seiya since we were all kids.” Yaten stared at Usagi meaningfully and Usagi found she could not look away. Something in his smoky green eyes was hypnotizing, calling to her not letting her glance away. Trapped in his gaze she began to feel fear overwhelm her, trying to look away she found that her body wouldn’t respond. Sitting limply, paralyzed by fear she could do nothing more than listen.

When Taiki’s hand snaked out to trace over her cheek a tear slipped down it. Taiki glanced idly at her before looking back to Yaten.

“So what do you think is so special about her? Should we find out for ourselves?” Yaten nodded reaching up to run fingers over her soft hair. Yaten eyed her thoughtfully for a moment.

“Take off your shirt.” The command spoken forcefully shocked Usagi as her body obeyed and her arms responded. She found she could not control it or fight it and her fear grew not comprehending how he was able to do it.

Taiki and Yaten stared at her appreciatively, her breasts jutting forward still encased by the soft satin of her bra. Yaten brought a hand up to run a finger over her flesh sucking in his breath at the feel of her soft skin. He nodded at Taiki who easily reached over and unhooked her bra so that Yaten could draw it off.

Taiki and Yaten eyed him apprehensively waiting to see how he would react. Standing in front of Usagi he kissed her roughly before speaking.

“Babe I am sorry for this but it is necessary for us. I think we should move our fun to the bedroom.” He glanced at Taiki and Yaten and nodded. They both smirked evilly.

‘So he has made the right decision. It’s about damn time.” Yaten eyed the girl before him thoughtfully. “Walk into the bedroom.” He gave the command sharply as the thought of feeding drove him to the edge. Her eyes leaked tears as her body obeyed the command.

She knew something was really wrong but still had no idea what. Reaching the bedroom she stopped waiting for the next command. Yaten followed her smirking.

“Climb on the bed and lie down.” Yaten watched as she obeyed even as her eyes filled with panic. Seiya, Yaten and Taiki quickly stripped each one quietly observing the feast before them.

Yaten nodded to Seiya giving him the first location. Seiya strolled to the bed swallowing roughly fighting an internal battle. ‘Damn it I must stay with this decision. What to do?’ He pondered his options. ‘Well at least I can pleasure her as I kill her.’ Sliding between her knees, he moved so that his mouth was even with her wet hot center. He traced from the top to the bottom feeling as her body quaked in response.

Something inside Taiki changed in that moment. If Seiya cared enough to cry over her there must be more there than he knew going on inside his friends head. He could not sit and watch as his longtime friend suffered because of him and Yaten. He stopped sucking and looked down at his own wrist. Slashing at it he watched as his own blood began seeping out.

Seiya had quit watching, not being able to handle his guilt. Berating himself, for feeling a human emotion he threw her wrist down and stood grabbing at his clothes. Striding from the room he never saw Taiki’s sacrifice.

Taiki moved quickly to her head and pulled it into the crook of his arm. Forcing her mouth open he held his wrist to her mouth and watched as she unconscientiously began sucking at his blood.

“Yaten stop!” Taiki watched closely to see if his friend had done as ordered.

Yaten numbly heard the voice and let go of her thigh to glance up. Seiya was nowhere and Taiki held Usagi in the crook of his arm feeding her from his wrist.

His jaw dropped open in surprise as he tried to find his voice. “Where’s Seiya?” He watched expectantly waiting for an answer.

Taiki glanced at him oddly. “He couldn’t do it, he was crying.” Yaten shook his head in disbelief.

“Yeah I know…weak I agree, but I just couldn’t watch him suffer like that so I guess that means he truly loves her.” He shrugged nonchalantly before continuing. “Who am I to question love?”

Realizing she had stopped sucking and slipped into a needed sleep he pulled his wrist away to settle her gently on the bed. He stood and stretched before walking over to his pile of clothes. Dressing hurriedly he paused, waiting for Yaten.

“Come on we have to let him know.” He waited impatiently as Yaten finished dressing before they strolled out to the front room.

Seiya sat on the couch his pain evident on his face. He had scrubbed at his face to dry his tears and now sat numbly.

“She is gone I take it?” His words came out hoarsely and Taiki and Yaten heard the pain in his voice.

“Well if you consider sleeping the sleep of the undead gone then yes she is gone.” Taiki chuckled at his own humor. Watching as Seiya’s head whipped up glancing at him in surprise.

“I think you will have a lot of explaining to do.” He smirked seeing the look of hopeful shock on Seiya’s face. “You really owe me big time this time around and trust me I won’t be forgetting anytime soon.”

“Y…you turned her?” The hope in his voice had both Taiki and Yaten smirking as Taiki nodded.

“I did…I could see your um…” Taiki scrambled thinking of an appropriate word to use. “Um…hesitation, so yeah I turned her.” He smirked seeing the gratitude written on Seiya’s face. “You better get in there before she wakes up and are ready to explain things. I don’t know if you will regret this or not.” Smiling evilly he whistled as he strolled towards the bathroom…
