Chapter Seven
I had the hardest time uploading Chapter Six, for some reason, so if something got messed up during the process, I apologize. I looked it over and it looked ok,
except for I couldn't seem to get my "Love, Eve" to stay on. But I suppose you can just look towards the upper right corner if you want to know who I am! :D
But just in case...
I am Evelyn Allison, the review and rating whore! I don't much care for PWP, but I am still a huge perve-monkey like a lot of you lovely readers out there! :D
Anyway, on with Chapter Seven!

Serena blushed furiously and pulled away from Darien for modesty's sake.
"Oh Serena, don't be shy now." Andrew teased, approaching them.
Darien reluctantly let her go and went to sit on the nearby bench, not trusting his legs to keep him standing through the embarrassment of being caught like
that.
He wondered what Andrew must think of him, but by the tone of his voice he merely sounded amused.
"H-hi, Andrew..." She nervously shrieked.
Andrew took a seat next to Darien, and looked to Serena. "If you can give us a moment, please. Don't walk home by yourself this late. But I need to have a word
with my friend, here." He smiled.
She looked as though she may protest for a moment, looking to Darien and wanting to protect him from whatever it was Andrew was going to say to him.
"Andrew..." She started.
"Its ok, Serena." Darien interrupted. "Whatever he's going to do to me, I deserve it." He was back to feeling like a gross pervert again.
Andrew smiled at her. "Its ok. I'll return him as good as I found him. He'll be none the worse for wear." He patted Darien's back.
Serena sighed and nodded, walking a ways a bit.
"So is this what you wanted to talk to me about?" Andrew's voice fell from jovial to slightly harsh.
Darien wanted to curl up and die. "Andrew... that wasn't what it looked like." He lied through his teeth.
"Oh really? Because it looked like you were about to round second with a girl I consider a sister. You're my friend, and I love you, but I'll be damned if I let
you make her another one of your conquests." Andrew snapped.
Darien had never been scolded like this by him before, and it made him want to vomit. "Please let me explain..."
Andrew nodded. "Ok. Go."
"Its not like what it looked like. I... we... It's not just a 'thing.' And it didn't just happen-" Darien blurted out.
"Oh, so this has been going on for a while? You've been sleeping with her?" Andrew's voice was uncharacteristically low and dangerous. Darien could count on
one hand the few times he'd heard him like this.
Injustice sickened Andrew, and whenever he thought it was happening, he got this way. He remembered all the times Andrew defended him against the other
kids who'd call him a snob and a spoiled rich brat because of Darien's cold and distant attitude. But Andrew could always see through Darien's attempts to push
people away.
"God, no! This was the first time I'd even kissed her, I swear! But we've both felt like this for months. Hell, I don't know when it happened, exactly..."
Darien rubbed his face in frustration.
"Andrew, you have no idea how much this has tortured me..." He professed.
Andrew sighed. "I didn't want you to hurt her. And I don't want you to hurt yourself."
Then he smiled. "To be honest, I thought there was something there with you two, but I thought you'd both be too pig-headed to do anything about it."
Darien smirked halfheartedly. "I tried to ignore it."
Andrew shook his head a little. "You could have at least waited until she was 18. Its not that far off, you know."
"I know! I know! I tried... but... she's, well... persuasive?" Darien shrugged and they looked at each other briefly before bursting out into laughter.
As they came down from their amusement, Darien saw Serena shifting uncomfortably near the park gate.
"I should probably get her home." He muttered to himself.
"Yeah. HER home. Not yours." Andrew elbowed him.
He rolled his eyes. "I know that, doof. Its... different with her. I mean, its not like I don't want her. I do. But, I don't know..." He trailed off
as he watched her fidget at the gate.
He suddenly turned his attention back to Andrew. "Do you think I'm a creep?"
"Yes." He answered with a wink.
"Andy I'm serious!" Darien protested.
"Ok, ok. I don't think you're a creep. Its not like she's that much younger than you. The fact that she's your student makes it a little KINKY, if
anything." He smirked in a rather lecherous way.
"Andrew..." Darien shook his head and laughed, standing up from the bench. "I gotta go, man. She's probably freezing."
As he was going, Andrew caught his attention once more. "Darien..." The seriousness of his voice struck Darien, and he stopped in his tracks, turning
to face him once more.
"Hm?"
"You have to remember that she's still your student for now. You can't let word of this get around, or let this get out of control. You can't have a normal
relationship with her. At least not right now. You know that, right?" Andrew reminded him of what it was, exactly, Darien was afraid of to begin with.
"Horrible things would happen. You have to be careful, man. Just because I'm understanding, doesn't mean the rest of society will be... doesn't
mean her parents will be." He ended.
Darien nodded. "Thanks, man. Really. I forgot how lucky I was to have a friend like you." He smiled faintly.
Andrew smiled back. "You are pretty lucky, aren't you?"
Serena saw Darien walking to her and breathed a sigh of relief. He looked ok. He actually looked better than he had before he talked to Andrew.
When he finally got to her side, she fell in step next to him, leaving the park grounds. They both walked a little slower than necessary.
"So..." She started, not really knowing where to begin. Most of her just wanted to pick up where they left off before. "What did he say to you?"
He sighed, looking straight a head as they walked. "He talked a little sense into me."
"... So now you don't want to be with me?" She choked out and crossed her arms over her chest. "I... don't understand you." She tried not to cry.
"What? Serena, no. That's not it at all." He tried his hardest to will himself to keep walking. The last thing he needed to do right now was get
to holding her which then he would, undoubtedly, end up in bed with her. He decided on looking over at her, trying to smile reassuringly. "We just
need to be really, really careful."
They walked on with Serena still mostly silent. "So... what does this mean for us? That we pretend nothing ever happened?" She ventured carefully.
"If that's what you want." He answered flatly, not at all amused by the idea. "I don't want that, but if we start anything, it would have to be
completely in secret until you graduate. It wouldn't be nor-"
She cut him off. "I don't care!" She bit out. "You think I don't know all this? I'm not an idiot."
"I know you're not." He said, trying to calm her down a bit as they both trudged on. "I just... don't want you to feel obligated to me. We don't
even know if anything between us will ultimately get anywhere, and I just think this is a lot to ask of someone when everything is so uncertain."
"I don't feel uncertain about it. It feels pretty natural to me." She kicked at a pebble on the sidewalk, feeling a little foolish that she'd said that
out loud. What did she know of relationships? She'd never really had a real boyfriend before this. 'And I guess I don't right now, either.' She sighed.
He smiled. "How do you do that?" He asked, quietly, and he took her hand in his as they walked.
She smiled back at him, feeling a little reassured. "Do what?"
"You just... seem to be so sure of everything. Like you're not scared of anything."
"Seriously?" She looked up at him like he was crazy.
He chuckled. "Yes. I'm asking you to hide a relationship, that has no predetermined depth, from everyone, and you don't seem scared at all. Only Andrew
knows on my end. Did you tell anyone?"
She shook her head. "No. I didn't even write about it."
His eyes snapped back to her in a panic.
"And I WON'T!" She finished. "God, how bad would THAT be?" She thought of Sammy snooping around in her room and finding out about her secret man and
their immanent sex-capades. She felt her cheeks flush at the thought.
"Yeah." He noticed, and wondered what she was thinking about. "And we can't go out on dates..." He continued, trailing off a bit.
They walked on, her house being just around the next corner, they both noticeably slowed down.
"Serena... This is probably the last time we can even walk in public together. And even this is a risk." He reluctantly let go of her hand. "This isn't
fair to you at all." He cursed himself. "I'm such a bastard. You deserve someone who can take you out on normal dates. You deserve-"
She cut him off again. "Don't you think I should decide what I deserve?" They stopped at the end of her driveway.
She looked around quickly before grabbing the front of his coat and pulling him into the bushes with her.
"Serena!" He tried to sternly whisper. "What are you DOING?!" He stumbled and sat down hard on an empty little patch of dirt. It almost looked like this
bush had been hollowed out. He then wondered who else had been in here with her and a surge of jealously went through him.
She bit her lip, then boldly crawled into his lap, effectively straddling him and keeping them both hidden. "If this is the first and last time I have you
here, then by God I'm going to make the most of it." She winked.
He tried to remain stern. "Come on, cut it out." He tried to pick her up off him, failing miserably when she wiggled and writhed.
"You... have to not do that." He breathed as she wiggled.
"Why? What am I doing?" She asked as innocently as she could muster while in that position. She had to bite her lip to keep from giggling.
"Don't you have to get in? When's your curfew?" He groaned, his body responding to her attention as any straight man's would. He gripped her hips and
held her against him, grinding up into her.
"Not until ten. Its only fifteen after nine now. Ah!" She tried not to moan out as he hit one of her most sensitive parts. "Darien..." She leaned her
head back, knowingly or not, giving him an open invitation to pick up where they left off earlier.
He took his chance to return his kisses to the sensitive flesh of her neck, silently thanking the universe that she had decided to wear a button-down
sweater.
She leaned back down and captured his lips in a searing kiss as she felt one of his hands creeping up to her chest as it had been before. Absently
she wondered if Andrew was going to pop his head into the bush and scare the hell out of them both.
His hand hesitated at her ribcage and as he kissed her he slowly grazed the curve of her breast with his thumb, eliciting a small moan from her into his
mouth.
"God, Darien! You make me so hot!" She whispered into his ear and bit gently down on the lobe.
And they continued on in this way, teasing each other for what only felt like moments until her cell phone began to buzz. "Oh... shit." She cursed.
"Hm?" He grunted as he groped and kissed her.
"Its nine fifty. I have to get inside." She whispered as she tried to get up off of him, her jeans adding to the delicious friction between her thighs.
He sighed and let her go, helping her up and trying to get up himself.
As they stood and straightened their clothes he watched her right herself and sighed.
He quickly took a pen and a small scrap of paper from his coat pocket and scribbled something down.
"Here." He thrust it at her a little awkwardly.
"What's this?" She wondered out loud as she was holding it and trying to button her sweater back up.
"Uh, its my number. I can't call you or anything. But I want you to be able to call me." He grinned a little and shoved his hands in his pockets.
She looked up at him and smiled. "Yeah. I will." Something about the arrangement appealed to her. It made her feel powerful in a way.
As she looked up at him, she had to fight the urge to lean up and kiss him. "I want to kiss you goodnight." She whispered.
"I know. But I can't. I have to sneak away behind the shrubs." He bit back a chuckle. He felt ridiculous, and invigorated at the same time.
He settled for holding her hand briefly. "Goodnight, Serena."
He ducked down low to sneak under a window next to the bushes and let her hand drop from his as the distance between them grew.
"Goodnight." She whispered back at his retreating form.
She waited until he was out of sight before she let herself into the house.

So, finally a little progression in the story line! And I know this chapter is a little short compared to the others, but, these things can't be forced, people. ;)
I know, I know, its kind of funny that its taken this long (seven chapters) to really establish their relationship. But, hey, the story does what it wants.
I'm just the one who writes it out.
Thank you for reading, and don't forget to review and/or + system rate! :D
