A Game?

Serena sat in class trying to focus if she aced this test she would move up to take math with the eleven year olds but all she could think about was Amara. She shook her head and began working on the next problem. 

Calculation-10 

Serena smirked to herself and wondered how Sammy was doing on his test. Ugh her thoughts were all over the place she had to focus on what was important. She would never get into a good high school if she didn't get caught up in maths. She glanced at the clock. She only had ten minutes left and she was beyond stuck. Stupid word problem. She slowly worked her way through it and hoped it was right and she went through the other problems. She wanted to prove to her parents that she could do it and she didn't want all of Trista's tutoring to go to waste. 

"Time!" the teacher finally called.

She wanted to cheer but she didn't she just sighed in relief. 

"How'd you do?" she looked to see Sammy standing at the desk she was using looking worried. 

"I think I got a perfect score." she said, she gave a short nod to her screen and watched him read it and smile. "Here's hoping." 

"I'm sure you did fine." Sammy stated, as if he didn't now know his sister had passed. "and then you'll get out of my class." 

Serena smashed her fist into his head lazily. 

Several of Sammy's classmates chuckled and Mika giggled. 

"Yeah, soon." Serena agreed. "I've got a long way to go before the Entrance Exams." 

"That's another year away." Sammy pointed out. "You can do it." 

"Hope so." 

"How's your other classes going?" 

"Better." Serena replied. "I've brought my grades up a bit. Though I'm still having trouble in English. Trista suggested I try to speak it as much a possible." 

"That's a great idea." Sammy agreed. "After all don't all your friends also take English and need to practice?" 

"Trista, Amy and Mina speak it fluently." Serena thought out loud. "Amara and Michelle are very good it at it too, it's just Rei, Lita, Hotaru, and I who need to practice." 

They continued talking until Serena was dismissed to run back to the High School. She took advantage and the training quest and ran the entire way pushing herself. When she got there she quickly changed for gym and ran out to the field. She was pushing the timer she was sure that she wasn't going to make before the time ran out but managed with only 5 seconds left. 

"Safe!" she cheered punching the air as the bell rang. "YAY!" 

Amy, Lita, Mina and Rei clapped for her politly. 

"How'd you do on the test?" Amy wondered. 

"Perfect score!" Serena beamed flashing a "V" with her fingers. 

"Really?" Rei asked, eyebrow cocked. "They graded it that fast?" 

"No idea." Serena shrugged. "The screen told me. I got 5 INT and WIS for it. Sammy got a perfect score too because he always does." 

The girls were shocked by Serena's statement. 

"Girls! Front flips on the bar!" 

"Yes, coming!" Serena called to the teacher in English.

She was soon beyond annoyed that she couldn't do it. She hated gym with a passion. She finally managed one.

"Yay!" Serena cheered in English. 

She kept trying her training quest she needed to get 10. By the time the end of class came she only needed one more and she was in the face trying to get the last one. The whole class was watching her. Hotaru walked up to join Rei, Mina, Amy and Lita in watching. Amara, Trista and Michelle arrived as well. Serena saw the time ticking down and forced the last flip. She was thrilled when she managed. Everyone clapped for her. 

"YAY! I DID IT!" Serena cheered in English. 

"Good job, Serena." Trista praised. 

"Yeah, that was great." Hotaru said, frowning at using English. "Why was it for?" 

"What was it for?" Michelle corrected gently.

"Training." Serena said, happily. "I got 10!" 

She quickly went in took a quick shower and changed then came out and ran straight to Amara hugging her. 

Amara smiled happily. She was thrilled that Serena was showing her some attention. 

"I passed my math test with a perfect score!" she informed them.

She was soon grinning at the praise. 

"Hey, speak Japanese for those of us still in Elementry School!" Sammy demanded, walking up with his arms behind his head. 

"Serena was just telling us she got a perfect score on her test." Hotaru translated. "At least I think that's what she said." 

"Very good." Michelle praised. "A perfect translation." 

Hotaru smirked pleased with herself. 

"Yeah, she did." Sammy held the test out. "The teacher was in tears she was so happy. She said to thank our parents for sending her to cram school. I told her they didn't and that Serena found a tutor. Anyway she's beyond thrilled." 

"She just wants rid of me." Serena huffed clinging to Amara's arm. 

"I would too you cry too much." Sammy stated.

He grunted as her fist smashed into her head. 

"This calls for Ice Cream." Amy said, clapping her hands together.

"YAY!" Mina and Serena cheered highfiving.

"Alright!" Hotaru cheered.

They were soon at Serena's favorite ice cream parlor enjoying their treats. Amara sat with her arm around Serena and was thrilled that Serena seemed to be okay with it. Maybe they could really have a relationship. She reminded herself that Serena was still recovering from her break up with Darien and to not to get her hopes up.
