Me: all I have to say is hehe I know. I know Aya totally doesn\'t sound like a vampire. Though I did mention blood a few times and him being a hunter of the night as well as the thought of him biting Ken. But I know what you mean if I was a vampire and Ken was around me that boy wouldn\'t have a prayer. No worries I know it seems odd but my friend and I have our own theory on vampires so I\'m tying it into this story and as for why Ran is breathing and has a pulse will all be explained much later. But I liked the stake and wine so I put it in the next chapter. I already had this chapter written for a while so I hope you like it.

Aya awoke with warmth all along his body. He rolled over and looked into amused brown eyes and a lightly smiling boyfriend. \"You sure are sleeping a lot love. Are you feeling well?\" He blinked and thought about the question then realized what was wrong. He hadn\'t had blood in a little over a month. His kind could drink only once a month and be fine but he forgot. He meant to drink Ken when he first brought him home but he couldn\'t and now he had to some how sneak out and taint a few people or he could tell Ken the truth and taint him. He shook his head at the last thought and looked at his lover. \"Not really.\" Ken frowned at him then smiled softly. \"Well I\'ll change the sheets and things so you can just relax here on the floor for a bit then I\'ll go make you some soup.\" He nodded and smiled at his lover.

Omi looked at Ken who looked a bit confused and concerned. He walked over to the taller boy and smiled. \"Need something Ken-kun?\" Ken looked at him and smiled softly and kindly. \"Clean sheets for Ra... I mean Aya\'s bed.\" He nodded once and opened the closet and handed a nice set to Ken who frowned. \"Is there any other cotton ones?\" He nodded and took the satin ones and handed Ken a different set. The boy smiled brightly at him then walked quickly back into Aya\'s room.

Aya watched Ken with amusement. The boy was struggling with the large sheets and the heavy mattress. \"Need help?\" Ken shot him a glare and went back to work. Omi and Nagi came in and looked at their master on the floor then at the boy making the bed. \"Lunch is ready.\" Ken stopped and looked at the two young boys. \"Ra...Aya\'s not feeling well so I\'m going to make him some soup after I get this stupid bed made.\" Nagi and Omi came over to help his poor lover shooting him a knowing look saying they would keep Ken distracted for a bit. He nodded and smiled his thanks.

Ken blinked as the mattress was lifted off the bed then looked at the young boys. The mattress dropped and Nagi paled visibly. \"You have telekinetic powers?\" The younger brunet nodded and he smiled brightly. \"That\'s awesome! Schu has telepathic powers but he is annoying some times. That\'s totally cool!\" Nagi looked shocked, as did Omi and his lover who was still comfortably on the floor. \"You\'re ok with it?\" The younger brunet asked curiously. He nodded happily and looked at Omi. \"Yup. Nagi lift the mattress and Omi and I will do the sheets. Is that ok?\" Both boys nodded and the bed was then quickly made.

Aya found it cute how Ken kept stumbling over calling him Aya and how he was being fussed over by his lover. He loved the fact Ken was alright with Nagi. He looked at Ken ready to stand up and move to the bed when Ken just picked him up bridal style and set him in the bed. Ken\'s cheek was then on his forehead and he leaned into the touch as his lover hummed thoughtfully. \"You seem cold. I\'ll get you another blanket. Is there anything else you need?\" He shook his head and watched his lover leave then come back quickly with three more blankets that were set over him. Ken kissed him quickly and smiled softly leaving to go make soup. He sighed deeply and waited for a few minuets then vanished in a cloud of mist to go find a few people to drink from.

Ken bit his lip worried about his lover as he headed into the kitchen and started to look through the fridge for things to make chicken noodle soup. He bit his lip again wondering if Ran even liked chicken noodle soup. He sighed and decided to go ask when Nagi and Omi came in. \"Does Ran...um I mean Aya like chicken noodle soup?\" Both boys nodded and pulled put a pot for him to make the soup in. He smiled and set to work cutting the vegetables and making the broth while cooking the chicken.

Aya sighed as he slid into an ally and looked at the bum sleeping in a corner. He nodded and moved over slowly then sank his fangs into the man\'s jugular vein. He drank just enough to make the man sick for a few days then moved on. He had to work quickly or risk Ken coming up and finding him missing. He sighed as a very sexy young girl passed him and winked. He looked down at himself and sighed deeply. He forgot to change. He shook his head and went down another ally blending into the darkness. He waited for some one to pass by him and smirked when he saw Ken\'s ex. He slipped out and quickly grabbed the boy biting him before he could even scream. Dark eyes locked onto his and widened. \"You were with Ken.\" He smirked and kept drinking until Kase passed out in his arms. He returned the boy to his small apartment and looked around curious to see where his lover once lived. He spotted a picture of Ken and picked it up smiling softly at his love\'s sweet smile but there was something in big brown eyes that made his heart ache. There was pain and loneliness. He looked at the boy on the bed and hissed. Then moved on to go find a new victim.

Ken tasted the soup and nodded his satisfaction. He slowly served a bowl and set it on a tray then went about getting a few other things as well. He set everything on the tray and nodded happily. He jumped as Omi and Nagi came barging in. He looked at both boys and frowned deeply feeling dread settle deep in his stomach. Something was wrong with Ran. He looked at the two boys and grabbed Omi\'s shoulders. \"What\'s wrong?\" The little blond smiled lightly and held up a bleeding hand. \"I cut myself.\" He looked at the boy\'s hand and sighed feeling a little better and took Omi over to the sink and gently washed the cut and looked it over. \"You don\'t need stitches but lets get this bandaged up.\" Nagi handed him a first aid kit and he gently wrapped up the blonde\'s hand. He went to put the first aid kit back and knocked over the tray he had for and watched it crash to the floor. He sighed and put the first aid kit away then started cleaning the mess not wanting Nagi and Omi to hurt themselves.

Aya slipped back into bed and sighed happily. He felt much better but it would take a few hours to gain his full strength back so the blood could circulate through his veins. He looked over as the door opened and Omi peered in and nodded to him. He nodded back and the blond rushed down the stairs. A few minuets later Ken came up and smiled at him setting the tray down on the nightstand and helping him to sit up checking his temperature once again. \"Well you feel normal but I brought you some aspirin just in case. I made you some chicken noodle soup. Would you like some?\" He smiled and nuzzled his love nodding. Ken set the tray over his lap and started testing the soup then blowing on the spoon full and held it to his lips. He smiled and drank it down enjoying the fact his love was willing to take care of him.

Ken smiled as his lover dozed after finishing the soup. He quietly took the tray and headed down the stairs and into the kitchen. He put everything in the sink and looked at the sandwich on the counter. \"We thought you may want something to eat.\" He jumped and looked at Nagi and glared slightly then smiled. \"Thanks. So why don\'t you want Ran...er Aya to know you and Omi are dating?\" The younger brunet shrugged and he smiled and turned to eat his sandwich. He heard Nagi leave and sighed happily shoving the food in his mouth. \"Such a messy little Ken.\" He jumped and spun to look at his lover and swallowed the rather large bite he had in his mouth.

Aya smirked and pulled Ken to him nibbling on his ear. He felt Ken sigh and relax into him then tense. \"You should be in bed koi.\" He pouted at his lover and gave him pleading eyes. \"I was lonely. How about we go cuddle on the couch and watch movies.\" Brown eyes lit up and Ken nodded excitedly. He smirked and dragged his lover into the living room. He settled down and Ken put in a movie then came over to him and he adjusted so his lover could fit and so he could use him as a pillow. Ken was his favorite pillow and blanket. He sighed as a blanket was settled around both of them and Ken stopped moving and he could listen to his lover\'s heartbeat. The slow study rhythm was claming. Ken giggled softly at the movie he was no longer paying attention to. He was turned into the perfect heartbeat that soothed his soul. It was constant never changing or faltering just slow peaceful rhythm. His eyes found it hard to stay open being weighted down and he drifted to sleep.

The movie was over and Ken could no longer feel his arm. He didn\'t mind his lover sleeping on him but his arm was beginning to hurt. He looked down and sighed hating to wake his love. He gently nudged the man and violet eyes fluttered open. \"Sit up.\" The redhead blinked at him but did as he was told. He moved and started another movie then sat down flexing his arm while Ran pouted at him. \"You can put you head in my lap. I just couldn\'t feel my arm.\" His lover nodded and quickly lay down curling back into his blanket. He smiled and ran his fingers through silky crimson locks.

Aya knew he should be feeling better but for some odd reason he wanted nothing more than to curl up in Ken\'s arms and sleep. He must be making up for all the sleep he lost over the past few hundred years. He looked at the television and watched a little bit of Interview with a Vampire. He never really liked this movie because the vampires always seemed so whiney to him. They were going to live forever and they seemed to resent the fact. He sighed and closed his eyes listening to Ken\'s breathing and the feel of gentle fingers run through his hair. He was getting sleepy again so he just relaxed. Tomorrow he would take Ken out for dinner just the two of them. It would be perfect and romantic every thing his love deserved in a date. He would go buy Ken something special and then they would go out and date then come home and make love.

Ken looked down at Aya and smiled lightly. He turned off the movie not really enjoying it anyway and slowly shifted so Ran was in his lap then lifted him up. His lover was fairly light but not overly so. He sighed as he carefully carried his love from the room and started up the stairs. The stairs were a bit harder than he thought they would be. Ran was light for about five minuets then he became heavy. He nudged open the door and sighed deeply and more or less dropped Ran on the bed. Violet eyes snapped open and glared at him. \"Sorry.\" His lover sighed and pulled him down into the bed bringing him close. He smiled and snuggled into the redhead.

Aya awoke to the sweet sound of Ken humming softly. He rolled over and looked at his lover who\'s eyes were closed and he was enjoying the sunlight streaming through the open balcony doors. He smiled and gently kissed his lover who smiled back and opened big brown eyes to look at him. \"How are you feeling?\" His love asked softly. He smiled and nuzzled the boy. \"Great. Lets go out tonight just you and me.\" Ken nodded and smiled softly. \"Sounds great but lets go out for a late lunch early dinner instead then we can come back and fool around a bit before we go to bed so I can actually get up in the morning and go to work.\" He smirked and kissed his lover softly then started nibbling his neck then finding a spot to leave his mark. \"You may have to wear a turtle neck for a few days.\" He heard Ken chuckle and sigh happily. He smiled as his lover kissed him deeply.
