Disclaimer:
I do not own DNAngel, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Cold water
Pairings: If you have gotten this far then I am quite sure you have a grasp as to what the pairings are.
Disclaimer: Really, the sensible thing to do wouldn’t be to assume that I’d write fan- fiction about my own creation…
Author’s note: Well…If you are reading this then you realize that while I was writing this, I actually hadn’t quite started on the actual chapter yet…however, you know that the chapter is coming up just below. And so, as to not waste your time any further…I shall begin…and so can you.

Daisuke caught a flash of blue in the corner of his eyes, only one word echoed throughout his mind.
//Satoshi.//
***
//My, my...// Krad mused as he witnessed upon the scene in which was currently displayed before him.
//Just couldn’t refrain could you Dark?//
Daisuke however, was plagued by a different first few thoughts.
//What are they doing?! H-how could Dark do that? I knew he was a thief but…what exactly…Satoshi!!! Is he hurt!?//
And before either Krad or Dark could react properly, Daisuke had stolen over to where Satoshi lay…conveniently, under Dark.
Daisuke blushed as, upon further examination, he had discovered the lack of pants Satoshi was endowed with. Dark however, was full clothed.
Disgusted by this blatant act of domination, Daisuke proceeded to glare at Dark and then to advert his eyes, speaking only to utter a question.
“What did you do?” The voice it was expressed with contained such betrayed undertones that Dark couldn’t help but answer with the complete truth.
“I experimented.”
Daisuke shook his head wearily. “Oh. And what did you find out?”
This time Dark couldn’t answer. He wasn’t sure what he had found out himself.
“Well?” Daisuke pressed.
“I-I don’t know.”
“Is that the truth?”
“Yes.”
“Oh.”
***
Satoshi looked upon the happenings with curiosity and dread.
//What is going to happen now?// was all that he could hear within himself.
The droning of this thought was intervened by Daisuke as the red-head grudgingly (albeit in an embarrassed fashion) swivelled his face back to face Satoshi, carefully attempting to steer his eyes anywhere but in between the slave’s legs (which he was not having much luck with.)
“S-Satoshi…” The Prince began, not bothering to use the degrading title of “Slave” when in these quarters, “What happened here?”
Satoshi had felt that this question was coming earlier than it actually did…but that did not mean he had been prepared for it.
“…” //Dammit, I just can’t think of anything to say!//
“Satoshi…?” //Is he going to say anything?//
“I…” //Why is it so hard for me to admit to him that something happened between Dark and I? It must be because I don’t want to have to serve someone who has something like that on me…no. That’s a complete lie and I know it.//
“Satoshi.” //I’ll bet it’s uncomfortable for him to say but…I really need to know.//
“Daisuke, Dark and I…we, well…I-I –
//I don’t know how to say this…//
Satoshi spared a glance at Dark. The thief (who had long since slid off of Satoshi) was sitting opposite Daisuke and beside Satoshi. He looked perfectly calm.
//Damn him.//
“—Well, I really don’t know what to say. I’ll just h-have to tell you the whole story short.”
Daisuke nodded as a signal to continue, which Satoshi did.
“Dark took me here from the castle earlier today to…ask questions. I’m not quite sure what was going through his mind when he kissed me. That would be up to him to explain. But, after the first kiss…more came. You two arrived directly afterwards…is there anything else you wish to know?” The blue-haired boy concluded although he knew there were probably a thousand things Daisuke wanted to know.
“Well—
Daisuke hesitated. //What is there really to say to that…there are so many questions I have right now that I can’t really even discern them from each other. I can tell what they must have done by the state of dress…but I don’t know if Satoshi let Dark…um, willingly…or if it was a sort of rape…//
“I-I’m sorry for asking you this but I have to know…h-how did you feel when Dark—
//Blew you…// But he couldn’t bring up the nerve to summon those words.
Satoshi seemed to falter before he answered. “I’m not sure. Hold on…I just need to think.” The boy reached for his pants only to discover that they had been flung out of current reach…
Krad smirked as he saw what the slave boy was searching for. He crouched to pick up a pile of the thin material that the pants were composed of, and flung them unceremoniously at Satoshi, making sure to let the boy know, with his eyes, exactly how much this was amusing him.
Satoshi just caught them, desperately avoiding the taunting glint he could detect in the blonde man’s eyes. He slid the scant fabric of his underwear up from its temporary resting place at his ankles before sliding the pants over them. He tied the rope belt at the top of them with a mortified satisfaction.
Daisuke noticed that his head was bowed in thought whilst he did this.
//I felt…something.// and as much as Satoshi hated to admit it…he had felt something since he had laid eyes upon Dark at the ball.
“Daisuke…I…had feelings for Dark since I first saw him at the ball, since his first appearance.”
“Oh.”
Satoshi nodded almost grimly, successfully hiding his emotions once again. “Now that you know…what do you think?”
Daisuke paused for a moment. //I’m not sure what to think…//
“I think…well, this hasn’t changed what I feel for you.”
//I can still feel my heart pounding for him.//
Satoshi inclined his head. “I see.” He replied.
***
//I should say something.// Dark decided as he stepped forward to look directly at Daisuke.
“Prince, what are you thinking?”
Daisuke swallowed painfully. “I-I want—
But the tears that were already wavering on the edges of the Prince’s crimson eyes had already begun to fall and Daisuke couldn’t stand straight under the wave of unadulterated emotion that splashed through him with an unpitying crash. The red-head bolted out of the cave door…without looking back.
***
//Anywhere but here…anywhere but where I stand right now…away from him and him and him…away…into cold water into cold water into cold water into cold water into cold water.//
And Daisuke ran straight for the river.

Lady Risa frowned in concentration as she wandered throughout the forest, immense trees looming over her figure as she passed.
//I saw him disappear in here, that man from the ball…with giant black wings…I know I did…what is he exactly? Not that the wings weren’t beautiful but…//
Risa couldn’t even find a word to finish that thought. She had never seen anybody like that man before with his feather adorned wings. She had never seen anybody with wings that weren’t feather adorned either…the wings were almost frightening.
//I’ve never even heard of a mythical creature with wings like that…//
However, Risa amended herself as a childhood prospect suddenly gleamed in her mind.
//Wait!!! I have heard of something like that in a story before!!! What was it…//
The frown deepened and her brow furrowed dangerously as she managed to subconsciously avoid tripping over a protruding tree-root.
//I’ve got it!!! The legendary thief!!! My mother used to tell me bedtime stories about a handsome thief that stole precious items from Kings and Queens…I remember now…with wings as dark as midnight, a namesake that had come to be. Dark. The thief Dark Mousy.//
“It has to be the same one.” She spoke aloud to herself.
And then the envy sprung into play.
//Why has Daisuke met him instead of me?//
And this time she did trip over something…but that something was not originated from foliage of any sort, just draped over some as if it had been thrown off in a hurry. The item was a pendulum.
Risa cursed as she propped herself upon her knees in order to examine the artefact in question. She recognized the ebony sheen of Daisuke’s black jet pendulum immediately. It was a protective charm, given to Daisuke by his father when he was very young.
//That’s odd…I’ve never seen him without it before…I wonder if maybe he dropped it? Oh well…his loss, not mine…// although she did scoop up the pendulum anyways. In her opinion it was quite ugly. A mere chain with an ugly black stone dangling from it. Nothing special. She’d give it back to him if she saw him. Which she did. Soon enough.

Well…I’m going to delve a little more into Risa’s character in this story as she actually plays more of an important role in this fic than I have currently given her proper introduction in it for. So...you know what the next chapter might be like…so, tell me what this chapter was like…I’d LOVE to receive REVIEWS!!! Please and thank-you.
