Warnings: Still dark! Kinda torturey…I dunno, I kinda have a twisted perception of these things…Let’s just say I took a YGO quiz that said my personality matched Bakura’s, and not the cute little Hikari…
On with the DARKNESS!! *dun*dun*dun* don’t worry, there’s light at the end of the tunnel…somewhere…

//Ungh….My head! Damn sunlight…Ugh! Well, at least I’m awake! Thank God Yuki’s been keeping’ me alive…I dunno if I’d survived otherwise. Brr! It’s freakin’ cold! Hey, wait! Where are my blankets? Why-why the hell am I over here?! Where the hell is Yuki?

Kyo panicked as he realized Yuki was not with him. Not only was Yuki not there, but the grate that had once kept them separated was gone! Completely gone! His mess of blankets still lay where the barricade once was…but Yuki was nowhere! He would have said something! He would have put Kyo back into his blankets were he there! Where the hell was he and what was going on?

::Two nights ago::
Akito brandished the blade in front of the rat’s fallen face. Yuki knelt at Akito’s feet as the sickly one circled.
The pale god had brought the boy to his chambers for a little discipline. Yes, Yuki had given himself to Akito in exchange for the cat’s safety. It was a foolish, yet noble thing to do, and Akito would show him why such a sacrifice was foolish…
“Little mouse, just how had you planned to escape me?” Akito calmly questioned, twirling the knife in his fingers, keeping it in Yuki’s sight at all times. No matter how hard he tried, Yuki made it apparent he feared that blade. His eyes kept careful watch on it’s location always.
“I-I don’t know, Akito-sama…” Yuki whispered.
“Such respect you show me now!” Akito laughed. “I had wondered if that cat’s filthy mouth had gone to you. Humph! Well, needless to say, I don’t think you two would have made it far from my reach anyhow. Your rivalry is too great to keep you hidden. That cat would have abandoned you the second he had the chance! You know that, don’t you?”
“No, Akito-sama. Kyo would not do that to me…Not anymore,” Yuki whispered, trying to sound as neutral as possible. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the blade creep closer to his face. He tried not to wince, but failed. Akito smiled.
“Really, and how do you know this?”
“He-he said he needed me…He saved my life.”
Akito looked down on the rat, an eerie grin plastered on his face. He chuckled softly. “Do you really believe that, Yuki? How did he save your life?”
Yuki dared a glance into Akito’s eyes and held his gaze. “He wouldn’t let me kill myself.”
Akito frowned at that. A vicious sneer and cry of anger later, Yuki held his bleeding cheek as Akito licked the rat’s blood off the blade.
“The cat did that for his own reasons! There was no chance in hell for him to survive on his own! So he convinced you to stay with him and care for his worthless body so that he could abandon you the first chance he came across!” Akito screamed. Yuki held his eyes closed as he focused on making the pain go away and to quell the overwhelming fear building up inside of him. He had to hold on.
“I suppose he mentioned needing you to escape, eh? Does that surprise you?” Akito asked.
//He did say that…But he also said he wanted to go home. He sounded so vulnerable. Kyo wouldn’t lie to me. He never has…//
“Or maybe, he kept you in his grasp by mentioning your home? Maybe Ms. Honda?”
//He said he wanted to go home! I promised we’d go home together! For Tohru! For us!//
“Well, the idea of camaraderie is endearing, but it never works. He was just using you, Yuki.”
//No! He wasn’t!!//
“No response? Maybe I need to teach you a few more things…”
Yuki winced as he felt the knife dig into the skin of his shoulder. He cried out as Akito pulled the blade down along his spine, cutting his shirt away in the process. His body shook with pain and fear as Akito traced the wound again, lightly.
“If I can’t teach you with words, I’ll teach you however I can, little mouse. You best remember that,” Akito purred into his ear as he found a new spot to cut.
//I-I don’t know...How much- AGH!!- I can take! Please! Please, someone, Help! Help me!//
Akito traced the knife along Yuki’s back, relishing the choked cries and sobs as Yuki’s mind broke with the pain and fear he was causing. It was a sweet symphony of human misery, and Akito loved it! This is what Yuki deserved for even thinking of defying his god! This is how things should be! Again and again, Akito cut deep wounds into Yuki’s back. Not fatal, but deep enough to scar…Each cut put more fear into Yuki as the pain intensified with each new stroke. He could not take the pain anymore as he finally gave in and screamed for Akito with each new wound.
He left Yuki a bleeding sobbing mess by evening’s end as he departed to rest in his own room. Yuki’s only consolation being that the night was over…no more pain.
Until tomorrow.
::One Night Ago::
“Good evening, my little mouse! And how are we today?” Akito asked cheerfully. “I see Hatori has patched you up! But whatever for? Oh! Right! I asked him to, to make sure you would be with us a little while longer.”
Yuki’s only response was a faint whimper as he curled himself into as tight a ball as possible, without reopening the wounds on his back. He was terrified tonight and wanted Akito was far away as possible. He was unresponsive to everyone, even Hatori. Though the dragon had looked worse for wear with a black eye and swollen lip. But Akito had sparked unrelenting terror in Yuki as soon as he came into sight. Yuki’s only logical thought was to keep as far away as possible to keep the pain away. Akito stepped towards the rat slowly.
“I have not come to hurt you tonight, Yuki. You’ve behaved well. Far better than I had wished, but I am not an unkind master. Such service should be rewarded,” Akito whispered.
Yuki shivered in fear as Akito approached him. He choked back a cry of fear, trying to hold on to the last bit of his sanity. He had to keep sane…He wouldn’t let Akito have that, too! But he was still terrified as the pale one knelt before him. Akito held a hand out to Yuki.
“Come Yuki, I will not hurt you.”
Yuki looked at the offered hand cautiously and nearly expected it to slap him. But it did not. The rat looked into Akito’s eyes and saw… benevolence?! Yuki, not wanting Akito touching him, but more worried of the god’s rage, mustered up his courage and reluctantly allowed Akito to take his hand. He was pulled to his feet and guided to a pallet on the floor wordlessly.
“Yuki, please, remove your shirt,” Akito quietly asked. Yuki looked at his clan head warily, but did as he was asked. He did not wish to wake Akito’s ire again, not so soon. He winced as he lifted the material over his head. He carefully folded his shirt and placed it on the ground next to him, awaiting Akito’s next orders.
“Now, lay on your stomach, I wish to see what damage I’ve caused.”
Again, Yuki did not question his god, but simply obeyed. He lowered himself onto the pallet, turning his face to the side. He tried to hide his shaking, but still failed. He nearly cried out as Akito’s fingers traced the bound wounds on his back. He twitched violently with each touch, and tried to hold back tears. He was terrified of what Akito might do to him! Akito had said he hadn’t come to hurt him, but Akito had never considered a disciplining a type of hurt or pain. Yuki gripped the sheets tightly as he felt Akito pull away the wrappings, trying to suppress his fright.
“Ah…So beautiful,” Akito sighed as he pulled away the last bandage. The work on Yuki’s back was indeed beautiful. It was a masterpiece of blood and pain and terror carved into the back of a once proud young man. Akito was very pleased with his handiwork, and yet, he felt some sorrow for it. It had been painful. It had been terrifying. And this gift was given to Yuki, his most cherished of his zodiac. But the young rat’s terror was so sweet and intoxicating. Somehow, Akito felt some regret in doing such a thing, and yet he felt refreshed bathing in the terror. Aktio watched as Yuki shivered from fear, and how he bravely tried to hide it. But his fear came off in delicious waves, just for Akito. Akito sighed as he lowered his face to one of the many cuts and tenderly kissed it.
Yuki froze as he felt Akito’s lips touch one of his wounds. He held his breath waiting for the biting and licking to begin…but it never came! Akito softly moved from cut to cut, placing gentle kisses on each, almost reverently. Then his hands slowly caressed Yuki’s back, barely touching. The rat winced under the touch, expecting anything to happen! Waiting for Akito to strike or scratch! But it never came…Just soft touches and feathery kisses.
Akito sighed as he ran his hands across the angry red wounds. So beautiful…He licked his lips after every kiss, savoring the coppery taste that still remained on the rat’s soft skin. He placed his palm on the small of Yuki’s back and leant down to the fair-haired one’s ear.
“I had to this this Yuki…I’m so sorry…I had to…” he whispered.
Yuki shivered from the words, trying to understand what he meant…He tried to raise himself up to look at Akito, but was gently pushed back into place. Akito’s hands continued their tracing along his back once again. They wandered over the torn flesh to the rat’s sides, where they slowly made their way back up to his shoulders. Suddenly, Akito roughly grabbed Yuki’s shoulder and flipped him onto his back hard! Yuki’s back arched in pain as he cried out. Akito jumped onto the rat’s chest, his knees pressing into Yuki’s sides as he looked down, laughing maliciously.
“You see, I’m sorry you never listen, Yuki…I wish I never had to do this to you…But you deserve it!” Akito laughed as he revealed the cursed knife in his hand and placed it against Yuki’s throat. “Now, cooperate tonight, and I shall never use this on you again…”
Yuki’s breath hitched with the touch of the cold metal to his neck as tears welled up in his eyes. He swallowed hard, before steeling himself against his oncoming terror…
“Yes, Akito-sama…”
