Ran lay with Ken half way on top of him seeming very content to remain where he was while he held his koi with one arm and his father's ring with the other. At the meting he had noticed something, all the vampires had bonded themselves with some one. Part of their soul rested in one item and when they found the one they could be with forever the would give that item to that person and say a very ancient chant bonding their soul with that one person. Shion had given his wife's ring to Kai, Aya their mother's ring to Yuushi, Schuldich gave the earring Yohji was never seen with out to his love, Crawford gave the dagger that killed his sister to Farefello. He had his father's ring and he lay there as the warm blanket of night shadowed him from the world doubting if Ken was worthy. No he knew Ken was worthy there was no doubt in his mind about that his mind wondered if Ken would accept something so precious and if he could really love Ken forever or if Ken could do the same. Part of him wandered if Hiro was the one he was meant to give the ring to or if Ken truly was the one his heart belonged to. He looked down at his sleeping love and smiled knowing Ken was the one it was just a matter of when to give Ken the gift.

Well thousands of years ago one of the first vampires discovered this and how to release that part of their soul into a person or other being hence the odd chant and when a person is bonded to a vampire they hold part of the vampires soul so when they are changed their soul remains complete. His lover grinned holding up the ring and touching it to the cross letting the warm feeling wash over the both of them. "Then would this be our souls touching?" He nodded dumbly and moaned lightly. "Give me fifteen minuets and I'll come down stairs." The two nodded and walked out closing the door and Ran nudged him. "Go lock the door." He stood and dashed across the room locking the door then dashed back into bed snuggling up to Ran. A pale arm draped over him and pulled him close as Ran settled using him as a pillow. "It's really stupid we have to lock the door in our own house." He nodded yawning and pulled Ran closer drifting back off to sleep.

Ran watched the two girls leave and snuggled into Ken who was standing behind him and sighed happily. Ken had gotten him a few other things as well and they were all nice but he loved the cross. He touched the cool metal tenderly and sighed looking back at his lover. "I say we go out for dinner then take that nice walk then come back and I'll have you for dessert." Ken pouted and he turned looking at his lover who seemed slightly upset. "What's wrong kitten?" Liquid brown eyes locked on to his and he melted feeling suddenly bad. "I made you a special dinner and a cake last night." He smiled and kissed Ken deeply holding him close. "Then we'll have dinner here and eat a piece of cake then go for our walk." Ken nodded happily and skipped of to the kitchen.

They walked together fingers intertwined taking in the sight of the sun turning bright orange as it set along the mountains and the trees kissing the clouds with copper and gold. Ken smiled brightly and snuggled into the warm body next to him slowing their walk as Ran wrapped and arm around him. He smiled brightly and wrapped his arm around a slender waist bringing the other closer. He sighed happily and looked around the park stopping and tensing as a shiver ran down his spine. "Ran lets go home." Ran nodded and they turned and the world was suddenly blurred and all he noticed was Ran being taken away by a man with storm colored eyes.
