Dreams of Candlelight
By: Delilah deSora
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Could this night it last forever
every moment held together
as if in a perfect trance
and such a thing could be
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The man leaned back silently, watching the flicker of fire play over the mingled golden and silver hairs of his guardians who lay together, basking in its warmth. Just beyond the pair snowflakes fell, fat and contented, as the storm that had played about the manor finally began to abate.
Tomorrow, he knew, would shatter the silence that he and his closest friends now enjoyed. Tomorrow would be filled with shouts and laughter as a lion tried to tip toe through the new powder and an angel, perfectly created to match the winter snow, would began his revenge for the lion’s mischievous filled summer.
But for now they were content to lie quietly together, curled up and dreaming.
The man’s hand journeyed to the table at his side to lightly rest upon the pile of cards that had amounted to a life’s work. They too were silent, as though knowing that now was not the time for play. Mentally he went through their names, giving each card a personal moment of his time.
He tried not to think about the red book that lay hidden deep within the bottom drawer of his desk. He tried not to think of those cards, lying so carefree across the table, forced into rigid order and confined in the book’s darkness.
The sound of a four footed creature shifting before the fire and “accidentally” rolling onto his companion forced him to chase such dark thoughts from his mind.
He smiled as silver eyes narrowed and small hands tried to push the lion off of the more delicate form. The Sun grinned and rolled with every one of the Moon’s movements, staying sprawled on top of his opponent while pretending innocence in the whole affair.
They finally tumbled to their Master’s feet where twin sets of eyes gazed up at him playfully. Laughing silently he shooed them away and they went tumbling back, this time the fight a little more fair, until they reached the windows.
“Clow look, the snow is stopping!” The swishing tail betraying the lion’s excitement.
He nodded his head. “Yes, Keroberos, I see.”
“Do you think it will be gone by tomorrow morning?”
Clow laughed at Yue’s predatory grin. “No, I rather think it won\'t.”
Keroberos turned liquid gold eyes on his Master. “You could use Snow to get rid of it!” He pleaded.
Yue pressed his hands against the glass, smiling. “He won’t. All this will be here, waiting for you in the morning.”
The lion whined.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No one else would understand it
we would know the Gods had planned it
and for such a night as this
that they gave memory
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clow shifted as he tried to get the winged lion off his back. Keroberos was busily trying to pull his sleeves up without tearing the fabric while Yue was happily rearranging the pieces on the board to his advantage.
“I know you’ve got some pieces in here somewhere!” The lion growled, sticking his wet nose on Clow’s unprotected arm as he tried to peer into the darkness.
Yelping in surprise, the magician pulled his arm away and tried to climb out from under the lion. “I do not.” He insisted.
Gold eyes stared at him skeptically. “You’ve won four times in a row now, you have to be cheating!”
“I’m not the one nudging your stag into a trap while you’re distracted.” He pointed out, hoping to allay the suspicion.
As he had hoped, the lion glanced at the table just in time to catch Yue with his hand on the brightly colored piece in question. The moon guardian’s eyes went wide before he disappeared under the onslaught of gold fur and glittering claws.
Brushing himself off, Clow discreetly removed the extra pieces from his belt and quietly added them to the pile in the box before his sun guardian thought to turn around to make sure his other opponent wasn’t cheating him while he punished the new cheater.
By the time Yue managed to claw his way back to the table Keroberos had declared victory and claimed his brother’s pile of cookies as reward.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And we would live inside this night
within the dreams of candlelight
if you would bring this wish to life
and spend this night with me
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Thank you, Yue.” Clow whispered as he closed the door to the sun guardian’s room.
Yue inclined his head slightly as he brushed the pieces of golden fur off of his white robe. They returned to the sitting room and Clow watched as the moon guardian began cleaning up the result of trying to get Keroberos to bed.
Reaching out he touched the smaller man’s arm and Yue straightened staring at him with curious look. He couldn’t resist the urge to reach up and brush a stray lock of hair out of the silver eyes.
“Yue . . .” He hesitated unsure.
“Yes?”
“I . . .” Clow mentally cursed as he faltered to a stop. He couldn’t say it. No matter how much he wanted to confide his secret to someone, he knew it couldn’t be to this man.
So he forced himself to smile and pull away, running his fingers along the smooth, angular face. “Nothing.”
A frown darkened his guardian’s face. “But . . .”
He stared over Yue’s head. “It’s winter, now.” He murmured to himself.
Slitted eyes blinked at him before the angel turned to follow his gaze out across the snow-drenched yard. “Yes. I love winter.”
Pain clenched his heart and Clow forced it away as he reached out to run his hand through the cool silver strands that poured between his guardian’s wings. “Winter is ruled by the moon.”
Yue nodded. “It’s peaceful.”
The magician couldn’t stop himself from pressing a kiss to the crown of Yue’s head. “Not always.”
Silver eyes slid sideways towards him. “Oh really?”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Could this moment last forever
and this dream our one endeavor
if the stars would just enchant
and time would then agree
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clow shivered as cool hands spread rob robe away from his body, baring his chest to the creature underneath him. Fingertips traveled up his sides to pull his head down within reach of hungry lips.
He let his guardian feed off of his mouth as he braced himself on his hands to keep from crushing the delicate form beneath him. A tongue pushed past his lips and he pushed it up to run along his soft pallet. Yue growled and pulled back long enough to free his tongue before biting at his lower lip.
Chuckling he pulled back up, holding the smaller man down when he made to follow. Hair splayed across the floor creating an ocean of silver strands above wings that stretched to their fullest. Gently he ran a hand through the soft feathers at the base of the wing, making the winter\'s angel keen and arch.
It was his turn to catch the soft pink lips and he swallowed his guardian’s cry as he repeated the move on the opposite wing. Under his hands the wings flapped and strained, responding to the caresses.
“Like that?” He teased, his fingers seeking for the spot where flesh became feather.
Yue cried out openly, thrashing beneath him as his fingers encountered the hot flesh. “Yamette!” He pleaded.
With a slight smile he complied, letting his hands move to less sensitive flesh. The guardian’s breath slowed but his wings still trembled, overly stimulated. It was a cruel pleasure those stops created, Clow had discovered. A place where pleasure was intense but where no completion could be granted.
His fingers brushed over the angel’s nipples, pushing them to teak points. The hard won breath caught all over again and he chuckled. “Better?”
A slip of a tongue traced over swollen lips as the guardian nodded.
Laughing quietly Clow decided to reclaim some territory while his opponent was still too dazed to retaliate.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Every moment of tomorrow
from this evening we would borrow
if this wish the stars would grant
and gently oversee
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Gods Yue, stop that!” The magician growled as feathers ran up his thighs.
Silver eyes met his with wicked look as a new set of shivers ran up his body, rattling his control. “Yue.” He warned.
The guardian sighed and relented, the white feathers sliding back across the floor.
Clow closed his eyes, trying to settle the magic that threatened to burn up his control and devour the creature beneath him. Fingers brushed across his jaw to trace his lips. He forced himself to ignore it.
“Clow . . .”
“No.” He opened his eyes to stare at the angel. “Its too dangerous.”
How Yue managed to look so regally stubborn while laying spread out on the floor he would never understand. “I trust you.”
Smiling he brought the angel’s hand to his lips and placed a kiss on the palm before pressing it over his heart. “I know. I just don’t trust myself.”
Another sigh and then a mischievous twinkle before the ignored hand made itself known.
The magician yelped in surprise as the smaller man used his heavy wings to tumble him onto his back while his mind tried to comprehend the sudden connection between sensitive flesh and a pale white hand. He gulped as the hand changed positions, brushing its palm over the aching head of his desire.
The move made him jump slightly and large wings flapped as the guardian struggled to stay balanced at the sudden movement. The hand tightened and Clow winced.
“Yue, would you please stop using that particular part as a handle?” He pleaded.
The angel gave him a look that was part irritation and part hot desire. “What would you like me to use it as then?” He purred.
The magician nearly choked on his tongue as his angel began to give him options.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And we would live inside this night
within the dreams of candlelight
if you would bring this wish to life
and spend this night with me
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Clow please! Ah!”
Wings struck the hardwood floor in a primal beat as the guardian squirmed and shrieked. The magician pulled up from his ministrations long enough to double-check that the hastily crafted spell was still protecting the room with a silence wall. It wouldn’t do to have a certain sun guardian come smashing through the door to find out who was killing his brother.
Reassured that they were still being protected, Clow glanced back at silver eyes that were threatening him with all sorts of nasty things if he didn’t get back to what he’d been doing.
Smirking lazily he ran his tongue over the pulsing head and had the satisfaction oeingeing those eyes widen as the angel groaned. He danced his fingers up and down the shaft a few times, enjoying the guardian’s delicious shivers. Feeling an answering jerk between his legs he decided he’d waited long enough.
Rising up to lean over the panting angel he grounded his body against Yue’s, thrilling in the coolness of the other’s skin. The guardian met his kiss eagerly, thrusting his hips against his master’s, desperate for the next step.
“Onegai, Clow. Please.” He breathed, clutching handfuls of black hair. “Please.”
He pressed his lips gently to his lover’s. “As you wish.” He whispered.
Allowing the man to roll him onto his back, Clow admired the way the candlelight played over his koibito’s frame. Yue was the moon personified and true to his namesake he took the soft light in the room and made it his. He glowed. The red of the fire turned his silver locks and white wings the color of the harvest moon. It left him speechless.
He couldn’t have created such perfection.
Such perfection had created itself.
Smiling at Yue’s confused look, he reached up to touch the glowing angel above him.
“Aishiteru, Yue.” He whispered. “I love you.”
The angel returned his smile as he returned his master’s words with physical proof.
Clow gasped and held the guardian steady as the small body accepted his invasion. The winter’s angel trembled, tears threatening his eyes as he waited for his body to adjust to the intrusion. Unable to see such pain in his love, the magician slid his hands up the smooth back until he encountered the overly sensitive skin where delicate wings curved away from strong shoulder blades.
The tears immediately disappeared as the moon guardian groaned and sank into the touch. Clow rubbed the flesh firmly, digging his fingers into the feathers. Another keen tore from the angel’s lips as he began to move.
The magician forced his fingers to relax as his body responded to the feeling of being milked by its one desire. He didn’t want to cause the angel pain by ripping at the feathers but he knew better then to stop rubbing the burning flesh under his palms.
Crying out in abandon Yue thrust down on him only to come back up just as hard, arching his back against his master’s rubbing palms and grinding his own erection against the stomach underneath him. He was drowning in sensation, lost in a world of pleasure.
Clow urged his koi to move faster, shuddering as the angel practically landed on him after arching up as far as he could go. The white wings were stretched back as far as the guardian could f the them, trembling fiercely at the unnatural position.
Unable to control himself any longer Clow bent his knees and thrust up into the angel, making the creature cry out and dig long fingernails into his chest. He snarled as his lover drew blood and felt the magic within him begin to scream as it sought release. Soon. It had to be soon.
His angel noticed the blood and came down with the speed of a bird of prey to lick the red smears. Silver hair slid about his burning body and Clow cried out as his senses overloaded. Tearing his hands from his lover’s body he thrust them flat against the floor, pouring all his energy deep into the ground as he released the rest of himself into his koibito.
A sobbing cry breathed out across his chest and he felt cooling energy pour through him as his angel released his own pleasure.
Yue’s power calmed his and Clow relaxed, slipping his hands up under limp wings that had dropped when the angel no longer had the strength to lift them. He cradled the smaller man against him, gently running his hand along the smooth skin. Through their bond he felt the moment his guardian slipped into deep sleep.
Calling the wild magic to his aide he slipped out from under the sleeping angel and retrieved the discarded robes. Carefully he tucked the splayed wings against the small pale body before dismissing the magic and carrying his koi to his bedroom.
Settling him in, Clow opened the window, pleased to see a nearly round moon peer in to illuminate the dark room. On the bed the moon guardian unconsciously shifted to face his symbol. Checking to make sure the angel was slowly replacing his exhausted energy store Clow allowed himself a smile and a good night kiss before leaving his dearest friend and lover to his dreams of candlelight.
