When Akito orders for Tohru to be taken to him for a supposed “talk”, they do more than talk. The one thing in the whole world that Tohru wants Akito can grant...for a price. In order for Tohru to hug the Zodiac members and be with whomever she wants, she becomes a slave for Akito. When will it stop? Dark fic. AkitoRu & Others.
Hey everyone! FoxyOrange and I’d like to kick this fic off right away! This is a dark fic, a change in what I usually write, but it struck me after reading some other fics about Fruits Basket. Don’t hate me! AkitoRu & Others...
Disclaimer: I do not own Fruits Basket, I just love writing about it!
Akito looked out of the window at school. He saw her. That Tohru girl walking with Kyo and Yuki, smiling her smile contagiously spreading to the other two. She was just too sweet. It almost disgusted him to see her and her face smiling again. Too sweet. Too innocent. A thought struck him. * Too innocent * That was it. That was how he would get to her. A wickedly calm smile spread across his face. After school, she’d fetch Hatori to get her.
*~*~*~*~*
“Shigure, what would you like for dinner? Your pick!” asked Tohru, peaking her head in the doorway to Shigure’s office.
Shigure looked up from his keyboard and smiled at Tohru. “Anything is fine.”
Tohru smiled and said, “Oden it is!” She bowed and turned back to the kitchen.
Shigure leaned from his chair to watch Tohru’s hips sway back aorthorth seductively as she made her way back to the kitchen. Instantly, he felt his arousal. He sighed and closed his eyes, daydreaming of spending one on one time with Tohru. So what if sex happened afterwards? Come what may come. Shigure clicked out of his daydream and began typing away on his keyboard, once again Tohru as his muse.
Tohru finished making dinner and set everything on the table as Kyo and Yuki made their way into the dining room. Kyo sat down with a grunt and Yuki placed himself calmly onto his cushion. When Shigure didn’t come in right away, Tohru began to worry. She listened very closely and heard low, almost serious whispering.
She set down the cloth she was using to dry her hands and set off towards Shigure’s office. “I’ll be right back. I’m just going to see what is holding back Shigure!” she called back into the dining area.
Tohru stopped right outside Shigure’s door. It was closed and there was very low, serious whispering. She rapped her knuckles lightly on the door and the whispering stopped. “Who is it?” called Shigure’s voice. It didn’t sound like him. Well, it did but it was a serious tone, one that held no laughter and no jingle.
“It’s me, Shigure, it’s Tohru. Um, I just, uh, wanted to tell you that...” The door suddenly opened and Hatori pulled her in so suddenly she had no time to react but to go along.
She looked around the dimly lighted room and looked at the faces of Shigure and Hatori. Both looked grim meeting her gaze. Tohru’s insides froze. She had never seen Hatori this sullen looking and Shigure looked like something left a terrible taste in his mouth. They looked incredibly dark and sexy silhouetted in the barely present light dancing across their well-chiseled faces. Something was wrong.
“Oh, H-Hatori, nice to see you. W-would you like to stay for dinner?” asked Tohru timidly, trying to break the silence that hung heavy in the darkness.
“Tohru, we must talk,” said Hatori. Shigure only nodded, his face still stone.
“Oh, uh, all right. I-is something wrong?” asked Tohru, testing the waters. They felt dangerous.
“Tohru, it seems Akito has taken an intereo ‘to ‘talk’ to you,” said Shigure leaning in towards Tohru.
Tohru’s insides iced over immediately. Akito. The name just haunted her. The look on Yuki’s horror struck face that day she met him made her feel more terrible. Her hands flew together and twisted and her fingers laced and unlaced quickly. Akito wanted to talk to her?
“Why, whatever a-about? I-is something w-wrong?” asked Tohru, stepping back nervously.
Hatori stepped towards her and rested a hand softly on her cheek. “Don’t worry. I’m sure it’s nothing. Don’t get worked up. He just wants to speak with you.”
Tohru felt safe with Hatori, like the rest of her Zodiac friends. She leaned a bit into his warm palm and felt slowly at ease. Hatori wouldn’t let anything bad happen to her.
Shigure got up as well. He cupped her other cheek in his hand and stroked his thumb across her cheekbone. “You’ll be okay.” He twitched a smile and looked into her soft, innocent blue eyes.
Shigure felt safe too, also like the rest of her Zodiac friends. She, in turn, leaned into Shigure’s palm. Neither of them would ever let anything happen to her. But, something still felt amiss, like her mind was at ease but her heart was not. She tried a smile and nodded as their palms awa away.
“You’ll leave tonight after dinner. He’ll see you then,” said Hatori, heading for the door. His hand rested on the doorknob and he turned around to face Tohru. “You’ll be okay.” With that said, he left.
Tohru felt safe on the outside but her heart...the last thing Hatori said about being okay... it sounded like he was really comforting himself more than her. Tohru’s heart hammered in her chest, she would be sure Shigure could hear her.
Shigure suddenly clapped his hands together making Tohru jump. She looked at him and he was smiling. “How about that dinner?” asked Shigure cheerfully. He rubbed his hands together and was about to place his hand on the doorknob when a sharp couple of knocks sounded.
“Hey dog! You better not be doin’ anythin’ you might REGRET with Tohru, right?” shouted Kyo.
“Miss Honda? Are you okay?” asked Yuki.
Shigure rolled his eyes and pulled open the door. “Really!” he said. “You think Iome ome kind of pervert! Hmph!”
Shigure let Tohru exit first and then followed. Kyo and Yuki looked Tohru up and down looking for some kind of injury, something out of place, anything for a reason to kill Shigure if anything was wrong. Tohru blushed as Kyo lifted her arms and looked those up and down and Yuki checked her legs.
“Really, guys! Nothing is wrong!” She smiled and led the way to the kitchen as Kyo and Yuki lagged behind, staring daggers at Shigure. But Shigure didn’t act any kind of happy. His face seemed set in stone and thought.
The four of them and sat down, continuing as they would any other dinner, although Shigure seemed to be lost in thought for most of it. Tohru laughed at Kyo and Yuki’s word exchanges but deep down she was worried beyond all belief. What did Akito want?
She looked at everyone’s plate and fothatthat everyone was finished, but she still had her plate half full. As she cleared away the dishes, Kyo said he would be in his room and Shigure would go back to his office. Yuki offered to help Tohru.
“Thank you, Yuki.” She smiled sweetly as she washed the dishes and he dried and put them away. Yuki seemed to be idly chatting with her, but she wasn’t really listening. She was thinking about what Akito would want. Sure, she nodded and smiled occasionally, but her mind was mainly focused on what Akito wanted.
A terrible thought struck her. What if he wanted her to leave the family forever and have her memories suppressed? Her hands shook violently from that thought. Memories and happiness flooded her mind and she thought of what would happen if Akito would do that. She lost it. The plate she had in her hand slipped from her palm and it shattered loudly on the floor. She bent down automatically and went to pick up the largest piece and cut her hand.
“Miss Honda!” Yuki bent down and brought her up with him and held her hand. He turned on the faucet of the sink and stuck her cut hand under it and got the first aid kit from the drawer by the door. He pulled out cotton balls and hydrogen peroxide and cleaned the wound then he wrapped it in a band-aid.
Tohru never really realized that she dropped the plate or got the cut. All she could think about was what Akito might do. She snapped back to reality and looked into Yuki’s eyes. They held such worry like she had never seen.
“Miss Honda? What’s wrong?” asked Yuki looking deep into Tohru’s eyes for some kind of explanation. He found fear, wonder, worry...
“Oh, Yuki. I didn’t mean to worry you! I just, uh, dropped the plate. Too slippery,” she lied. She smiled and tilted her head to the side very cutely.
Yuki seemed uneasy to be relieved but forced a smile and nodded. He stood and went to the sink. “I’ll finish this, Miss Honda. Didn’t you have somewhere to go?”
Tohru stood up quickly and nodded. She had mentioned it during dinner that she was going to go out to see a friend. Yuki and Kyo slowly agreed after they argued whether or not one of them should come along to escort her. She said she would be fine by herself.
She went to Shigure’s office and knocked on the door before peeking her head inside. He looked up from his computer screen and smiled at Tohru. “Leaving?” he asked.
“Yes. I’ll try not to be long. I’ll just, uh, see what he would like to talk about and then I’ll be straight home,” she reassured.
Shigure’s jaw clenched and unclenched. He forced a smile and nodded at her. “I’ll see you then, my inspiration!” He waved goodbye from the porch as he watched her go. She smiled and waved back and disappeared into the darkness.
