Stirring awake from his spot on the ground, Luffy’s eyes slowly opened. His cheek brushed against mildewed grass in the cold moon light. He heard soft chuckling in the background as his glazed eyes looked at the environment.
The full moon laughed at him as he looked into sky.sky. His hands and arms were bound together by thick leather belts, keeping him from using his Gomu Gomu technique.
The sound of earth being dug up assaulted his ears. He looked around, trying desperately to see what was going on until his memories hit him likton ton of bricks.
Flashback
“AH! Wh gre great lunch!!” Luffy rubbed his full belly with glee as he licked his lips. Looking around he noticed that his crew wasn’t with him.
{Uh oh..I think I ran off and left them behind again….oh well! Ah ha hah!}
“Looks like you’re enjoying yourself .”
“Eh? AHH!” Luffy jumped to his feet, facing off to his nemesis, Buggy. “What you want Big nose?!”
A vein popped up on the clown pirates face. Anyone could see that he was trying to keep his anger in check.
“Nothing, fellow pirate,” he answered sweetly, “Just wanted to ask you to join me for a drink….”
Luffy immediately grinned like the goofball he is.
“YAY! FREE DRINKS!”
As the waitress put down two mugs of drinks Buggy’s eyes widened.
“WOW! LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT MEAT!”
“WHERE?!”
“Dang, you missed it,” he said hastily. Unfortunately Luffy didn’t see the manic grin on the clown’s face as he downed his drink. Before he knew it his world started to spin . Before you could say “You nin-com-poop!”, Luffy was out like a light.
“Wow…..that was so easy it was almost sad…..”
End Flashback
Luffy groaned. How could he be so stupid?! Well that was an easy question. He was Monkey D. Luffy for God’s sake!
His eyes met those of the insane clowns.
“Wakey Wakey……eggs and bakey….”
He roughly grabbed the rubber man under the arms and dragged him to the middle of his troup. He was able to catch a glimpse through the legs of the crewman as he saw what was about to become of him.
He was in a graveyard. One of the men was digging up a grave; a casket was laying on it’s side wide open with the corpse hanging out.
They were going to bury him alive.
{OH GOD NO! SOMEONE HELP ME!!}
Sweat trickled down his brow as he heard the cackling of the other men.
“It‘s deep enough! Now get me out of this fucking hole!” cried the voice that Luffy recognized as the second in command, Mohji the Lion Tamer. Cabaji calmly walked over and helped his fellow crewmate out and they joined the rest of the group that stared down at Luffy.
“Take a look at that….look at his eyes…the great Monkey D. Luffy blinded with fear,” Mohji chuckled. The rest of the crew chuckled along with him.
Buggy leaned down so he was face to face with the rubber man.
“Well now…..you got anything to say…Mr. “I’m-going-to-be-the-king-of-pirates” ?”
Luffy stared into those insane eyes, shivering.
{I wont show him my fear…I wont let him indulge in it!}
Luffy remained silent.
“Ooh..the silent treatment. Hey Captain,”Cabaji rose to his feet,” I mean, do we have to bury him?”
Buggy sharply turned to the second mate.
“You got something against it?!”
Cabaji shrugged.
“No, no….just saying..why let a boy as cute as him to go waste?”
Luffy’s breath hitched as Buggy let out a laugh.
“Cabaji..you’re too much!”
The clown looked from Luffy to his second mate.
“I’ll give you one hour.”
Luffy paled.
“Thank you much, captain.”
