Love and PEACE!
Chapter One
Tasha glanced up at the suns. That concept was so weird to her. Two suns, five moons. What the hell kind of place was this, anyway?
She looked back down to her partner in crime, Hannah, who was sprawled out over a patch of sand. She panted.
"Calm down, Hannah. We'll find our way of of this." Tasha assured her. Hannah shot her a slightly cynical look.
"You'll find our way out of this, Tash. You got us into it."
Tasha, in a bout of sudden maturity, stuck her tongue out at Hannah. "Nya."
"Aw, fuck off. You know for a fact that if you hadn't stuck your sister's old Barbie in the microwave, we'd never be here."
"You know,"ha cha commented, hoping wildly. "This could all just be a really bad dream I'm having because I'm unconscious from that explosion."
"Yeah, right." Hannah snorted. She stretched and stood up. "Where to?"
"Um.." Tasha faltered. "I don't know."
Hannah gestured in front of her. "Lead the way, fearless leader." She glanced over sho shoulder. "I wish I knew where we were. It's obviously not home." She pointed towards the sky. Tasha nodded and started heading off to her left>

"I hope we didn't just come from here."
"Naw." Hannah said. She pointed to the ground behind her. "Our footprints came from over there."
Okay, now it was just insane. Tasha looked back up to the double suns and cursed. Fuck those suns. Fuck this desert. Fuck this goddamn planet.
Hannah looked like she was thinking much the same thing. She kicked a small lizard that had wandered its way in front of her with a grunt. "Fucking planet."
Tasha smirked. She knew her best friend very well.
"I'm...really...thirsty." Hannah muttered. "Really thirsty."
Tasha sighed. "Me too."
They plodded along for a few more steps before Hannah stopped and pointed. "What's that?"
Tasha looked up and saw a bit of a smudge in the distance. She squinted. "I think it's a person. I can't see them very well."
Hannah kicked a rock. "We could wait..."
Tasha shook her head. "Heatstroke." Hannah nodded and they started off towards the mystery person. Tasha just hoped that they turned out to be nice. Who knew what sort of people this planet harbored?
He looked up, slowly. There, off in the distance. He could see them-two girls, obviously unused to the desert heat, struggling towards him. He looked around him. Good thing he'd left the others behind at the last town.
He shouldered his back with a slight shrug and took of at a run. They needed help, and fast.
He stared atm. Im. If they'd been awake, they would have stared right back. Unfortunately, they'd passed out almost two minutes before he'd reached them.
They were both sort of short, although it was hard to tell from his current vantage point. The taller of the two had shortly cropped blond hair and a pale complexion, the kind that would tan easily with a few hours in the sun, which she was easily getting. The other had long, black hair and was even paler. Like sunlight and moonshine.
He grunted. Neither of them looked particularly heavy, and the nearest town was only a few iles away. He sighed, checked the ties on his pack, and slung the both of them over his shoulders. Too many had died for him to let these strangers perish without even getting to know them.
Tasha blinked. No longer did the suns glare balefully down at her. She entertained the hope that it was, indeed, a dream and that she was back at home. Then she realized that she didn't recognize the ceiling she was staring at. Hannah was, she determined with a quick glance, asleep on the bed next to her. She sighed. They really had gotten in rea real mess.
She sat up and steadied herself, momentarily dizzy. She looked around the rudimentary room, and felt her face twist into a smirk.
Looks so familiar...
The door opened and a man in a red coat stepped in. He beamed at her.
"I thought you might not make it!"
Tasha gasped.
"What?" He looked at her and blushed. "Is there something on my face?"
"You...you're..." Tasha blinked. "No way. No fucking way."
His eyes widened. He'd never heard a lady use such language.
"What?" He squeaked out.
"You. Who are you?" Her blue eyes demanded. She pushed her black mane of hair back behind her and glared at him. "This can't be real!"
"What do you mean?" He smiled nervously.
"You. You can't be real." She pinched her hand. "Ow! Okay, not a dream..."
"I'm standing right here, you know." He said, a little irritated.
"Sorry." She replied, softly. The blond girl stirred in her bed and the dark one was instantly at her side.
"Hannah." She whispered. He blinked. The sun-girl's name was Hannah. He wondered what the moon-girl's name was.
Hannah murmured sleepily. The girl pushed her. "Wake up. It's important."
"What do you want, Tasha?" Hannah demanded, tiredly. She was patently irritated.
"Open your eyes and look up." Tasha said. Hannah did as she was asked.
"Now wha--..." Hannah trailed off as she looked up in his direction. "Holy shit."
"Okay, so I'm not imagining things." Tasha stood up and turned towards him.
"I don't understand." He scratched the back of his head. These girls made him more nervous than when Meryl was hitting on him. Tasha started towards him and he backed up slowly, eventually running into the wall. He felappeapped.
"But I do." Tasha said, obviously delighted over something. "You're Vash the Stampede."
