When The Time Comes…

Author’s note: This is my first Witch Hunter Robin fiction and hope you like it so enjoy.

Chapter 1 – The Hunter becomes the Hunted

Amon woke up early to call Touko to tell her something that has always been on his mind. Touko was still in her housecoat drinking her morning coffee when she heard the telephone ring.

- “Hello.”
- “Hey, it’s me.”
- “Amon… I haven’t talked to you for a while now.”
- “Yea, I know and that’s why I need to go talk to you this morning.”
- “Why don’t you come over after Robin leaves for work? She told me that she was going to leave early today.”
- “Fine.”

Amon hung up without a goodbye as usual and so Touko got dressed and waited for Amon to arrive. She was also anxious waiting for Robin to leave. Little did Touko know, Amon was parked outside where he wouldn’t be spotted by anyone including Robin.

- “Good morning Robin.”
- “Good morning to you Touko.”
- “I’ll be leaving now and eat on the way.”
- “All right then see you later.”
- “Bye.”

Amon saw Robin walking out the door and heading for work at the STN-J building. When she was out of site Amon went up to Touko’s apartment. Touko heard the doorbell and went to open the door.

- “Amon…come in.”

They both walked to the living room and Touko sat down one the couch and patted the seat cochins to try to make Amon sit close to her but he just there standing.

- “What did you want to talk to me about that was so important?”
- “To tell you the truth, I don’t think we should see each other anymore.”
- “Why…?”
- “That’s just how it is.”
- “Well in that case I don’t want anything to do with you including Robin, so that means I don’t want her here.”
Touko went of to Robin’s room and brought out her suitcase.

- “Take her suitcase and get out of here. You can do what you want with her!”

Amon took Robin’s suitcase and left without a care in the world. He didn’t even say a word and got into his car and drove to work.

- “I guess that I’ll have to bring Robin to my place for a while.”

Meanwhile…
Robin arrived at work

- “Good Morning Michael.”
- “Oh, hey Robin, morning. Did you sleep well?”
- “Yes I did. And how did you make out last night?”
- “I did great, but while I was working on the computer, I got some information from headquarters about a pass case from one year ago. Maybe you could dig up some more info on the witch before Amon gets in.”
- “Sure, I don’t mind since it’s best to be doing something than waiting around doing nothing.”

While Robin was looking into the case she only found out that the witch was a physic craft user and was last seen in the Walled City. The only thing that she found that was strange was that not much information has been gathered up like the other cases. This case didn’t seem to come easy to her. While Robin was in deep thought, Amon came in.

- “Hey.”
- “Hi Amon, I found some kind of strange info last night about a witch. I don’t know if it’s something that is worth investigating or not, but it’s up to you.”
- “Yea.”
- “I made Robin do some extra research just in case she could find anything else about this strange case.”
- “Well we might as well check it out. Where exactly was this witch found?”
- “He was last found in the Walled City.”
- “Oh right then, come on Robin, let’s go.”
- “Hey Amon, when the others comes in do you want me to send them over with you and Robin?”
- “No, that fine I’ll call if I need any back up because we might not find anything.”

Robin grabbed her coat and followed Amon to his car. The ride was quiet until Amon broke the silence.

- “So tell me, what did you find out about this witch?”
- “I only found the same information as Michael did but to tell you the truth, this case feels a bit sinister to me.”
- “What makes you say that?”

-“ It just doesn’t feel right, that’s all. The case was send to Michael with only a few bits and pieces of information about the witch. There was no clue as of what kind of investigation was made or anything like that.”

Amon looked at her knowing that this case was really bordering Robin and that it might not be an easy investigation after all. A few minutes after they had arrived at the location and got out of the car. Before they went on Amon gave Robin a communicator.

- “We should split up so that we can cover more ground but if something happens call me on the communicator before you do anything.”

Amon knew that Robin could take care of herself when she was on a hunt and so Amon took to the right and Robin looked at her phone map and decided to go strait head.
Meanwhile, Amon was looking around but all that he could see was black gloomy streets that went in all direction that could lead anywhere.
On Robin’s side it was a bit different. She was at the end of Walled City but while she was just standing there she felt an unknown presence in the air. Robin started to back away slowly but she still remained alert and ready to strike at any given moment. Then all of a sudden Robin was hit with a blast of power that sends her flying against the wall. She quickly used her craft to send a burst of fire at her opponent but she didn’t see anyone.

- “What’s going on? Where is he? Show yourself!”
Robin got up slowly.

Meanwhile…
Amon started to wonder where Robin was.

-“I should have meet her by now. Something must be wrong. I’ll see if I can reach her with the communicator.”
- “Robin… Robin can you hear me…! Robin…
-“Dam!”
-“Hey Michael!”
- “What’s the problem Amon?”
- “I can’t get a hold of Robin. Do you think that you can find her?”
-“I’ll try.”
-“Ok, but hurry, she might be in trouble. Oh and while your at it send the other over here. I might need some back up.”

A few minutes later…
- “Ok, I got her, but it’s a very faint signal so you’ll have to move fast. Here are the coordinates.”
- “Ok, I’m on it.”


Meanwhile…
Robin is still having a hard time fighting back especially when she can’t see her opponent because he can some how make himself disappear.

- “What’s the matter? Can’t you find me!”
- “EEEERRRR, what do you want with me?”
- “Oh, I don’t want anything, I’m just following orders.”
- “What…! Don’t tell me that you’re a hunter that came to hunt me down?”
- “You are quit smart, that’s is precisely what I’m here for. Now then, I shall show myself to you and then I will hunt you.”
- “But why, this can’t end like this!”

Robin tried to get all the power that she could get from her already weakened body because now that she could see her opponent she could try to strike back. She knew her powers were weakening but Robin knew she had to stay alive till Amon could find her and plus she had faith in him.

- “So do you have any last words, witch?” He was pointing an Orbo Gun at her.

Robin was shocked when she saw the gun and was wondering where he got it from since it was only the STN-J that really used them and he wasn’t exactly part of the organization.

- “Where did you get that from?”
- “They gave it to me because they still want you alive. They didn’t want me to just kill you so they only want me to paralyze you with the Orbo.”
- “Why you! You will never take me down!”

Robin couldn’t take it anymore so she started to wildly use her powers still knowing she had a slim chance to win. She did manage to hit him a few times but it wasn’t enough to weaken him. Robin then gave one more blast of her craft and he had vanished into the flames as though he was incinerated. All was quiet for a moment, and then Robin heard a clicking sound of a gun. It was to late, Robin was to weak to move and plus she didn’t know from where the bullet was coming from since the witch had disappeared once again. The bullet hit’s her chest and throw her back against the wall. Robin was in pain but she managed to reach for the bullet and take it out. Her hands had blood on it and you could see the blood staining her black dress. She could barley focus but then she saw Amon, Karasuma and Sakaki. She knew that they could take care of the witch.

- “Aaaamon…”
- “Robin!”

In not time Amon, Karasuma and Sakaki got the witch and got away with a few cuts and burses, but it wasn’t the same for Robin.

- “Hey, Karasuma call the factory.”
- “I’m on it.”
Amon when over to Robin to see in what conditions Robin was in and so he kneeled down.

- “Aaamon, the pain… it… it… hurts so much.”

Amon saw Robin’s hand on her chest and when she removed it he saw the blood from her wound. Robin couldn’t take it anymore, she was so tired, weak and in pain that she just fainted right on Amon’s knees.

- “Do you want me to call the ambulance, Amon?” Karasuma asked.
- “No that’s fine I’ll bring her myself. I can bring her there faster because before the ambulance comes here it will be late. Oh and Sakaki, call Michael to tell him that Robin and me will not be going back because it might take a while at the Doctor’s and then I’m going to bring her to my place. ”
- “All right then, take care.”
