He could hear the unmistakable sound over the rushing of the water in his ears, the phone was ringing.

“Awww, Hell! Why does that stupid thing always ring the minute I get in the shower?!?!” He grumbled as the grabbed a towel and wrapped it about his midsection.

“Ouch! Shit!” He tripped over the edge of the rug and stubbed his toe on the corner of a chair in his hurry to get to the phone.

He paused at the phone long enough to check the ID for the caller’s name. “Tohma’s cell” it read.

“This better be good, damit…” he mumbled as he lifted the receiver, “What the hell do you want?” He demanded as he placed the hand set to his ear.

“Good afternoon, Tatshua-Kun! Glad to hear that you are in your usual good mood!” came Tohma’s artificial fake perkiness, “Mika is on her way here now, and she’ll help you prepare dinner. Be ready at six o’clock, sharp! I’m bringing company!”

“What the hell! Why do I have to entertain your company?!?!” But his words were lost to the vacant phone line; Tohma had hung up on him.

As he set the receiver down, he heard a key in the lock, that must be his sister. The door opened, and there stood Mika, with her arms full of grocery bags, and several more resting on the porch.

“Well don’t just stand there, get some clothes on, for God’s sake, and help me bring these in!” She started down the hall with her armloads, to the kitchen.

There were three more full bags on the step. He shivered as the chill air of mid January hit his bare, still damp skin, and a frigid breeze blew up his legs and hit his only marginally covered body. He grabbed all three in his free hand, and shut the door with his foot. By the time he’d gotten to the kitchen, his fingers ached from the heavy bags. He dropped them on the counter and stared at his sister, who had, in only a matter of a few minutes, turned the small temple kitchen practically upside down.

“What the hell is going on? And why do we need so much food?” By this point he almost didn’t care. He just wanted to go finish his shower, and go to bed!

“Didn’t Tohma tell you?” Mika looked surprised at the thought that her super reliable, over organized, president of a husband would forget he’d promised to call and tell Tatshua of his plans for the evening.

“No. He only said we were having company,” and lower, to himself, “Not that I really care, can I just go finish my shower, already?”

“If he already told you, then why are you asking me stupid questions?” She paused halfway through the vegetables she was slicing, “And if you don’t go finish your shower, you’ll be entertaining in your birthday suit!”

“So WHO is he bringing?” Tatshua was about to go get dressed and leave, just so he wouldn’t be here when Tohma and whoever got here.

“Why would he tell you something he wouldn’t even tell me?” Mika stopped stirring her pot to look at him.

“Well, that’s just great! I’m leaving!” And with that, he stormed back to the bathroom to dry himself off.

“Oh, No you don’t!” Mika ran down the hall after him, “Tohma said, specifically, that you were NOT to leave before he got here! After that, he said you could make your own decision.”

“What the hell kind of cryptic shit for instructions are those?” Tatshua hollered from behind the locked door.

“Tohma’s.” Mika said plainly, “If you don’t like it, you can take it up with him when he gets here. Until then, hurry up and go set the table, six guests, yourself and me included.”

“Six! Who the hell is he bringing, anyways?” Tatshua mumbled, more for his own ears than because he wanted an answer.

He finished dressing himself, and went to the kitchen, where he, begrudgingly, carried an armload of dishes to the dining area. Once he had finished, he returned to the kitchen. Mika was still laboring over several pots and pans, with various contents. Mika never let on how good a cook she was, she was way to arrogant to let anyone know something like that. Only a very select few knew. Tatshua knew, and Tohma knew, other than that, Tatshua couldn’t think of anyone else, in the world, which knew such “privileged” information about his older sister. Well, maybe Eiri, but he wasn’t sure.

He watched here clang and bang back and forth between first one pot, then a pan, then to another pot. He watched in amazement at how quickly she moved, and yet never burned herself. At the rate she was going, by the time she was through, there would be more food than twenty of them could eat! Especially, he thought with a smile, with the way his brother-in-law picked at everything put before him, then, in the end, ate less than most children did.

He chuckled to himself and thought, Tohma always reminded me of a bird, he even eats like one!

“What are you giggling about? If your not going to do something helpful, then don’t be in my way!” Mika snapped, her face bright red, wondering just how long he had been standing there watching her. She hated to let her guard down, even in front of her little brother.

Just as he was going to argue that he wasn’t in her way, clear over by the door, but his thoughts were interrupted by the sound of keys in the door, yet again. He turned to see his brother-in-law’s shadow over the window, followed by Tohma’s face, as the door swung open.

“Good Evening, Tatshua-Kun!” Tohma greeted him in his usual cheerful tone.

Then Tatshua’s chin almost hit the floor, behind him was, first, Eiri, followed closely by Shuichi, and last, but certainly far from least, Ruichi! So this was the company Tohma had him entertaining tonight! Tatshua began to think he just might enjoy entertaining tonight, after all…

Don\'t worry, i have LOTS more in store for our three couples. (that\'s right, all three! ^_~) Just be paitent, i have been having major computer problems, and the guy i have started seeing is really into those RPG\'s, so i have been spending a lot of time learning about them, not much room for yaoi, and such.
