"Comforting Presence"
Disclaimers: Yes I own it!..the fanfiction I mean..not the anime -sniff- Bah!don\'t rub it in!
Summary: Takes place in the last episode when Tohru talked with Akito. Those words may have affected Akito in some way.Let\'s see how shall we?
\"Comforting Presence\"-chapter 1
Akito sighed for the 3rd time, he was growing bored since he was once again left alone in the house. Momiji, Hatori and the others were always at Shigure\'s house. Thinking about it,suddenly made him remember Tohru, as flashbacks from what she said came upon him.
\'I\'m glad I met you Akito,I\'m glad I met the Sohma\'s. I may not know all about this family and the curse.. but the only thing that\'s important is…you\'re alive\'.
He tossed to another position,strangely everywhere he looks only images of Tohru filled him. \'This couldn\'t be…\'he thought. Indeed, it was a feeling new to him, a feeling he never thought he could have. Suddenly he could hear a car pull up from the gates, meaning Hatori had just arrived. Slowly Akito sat up and waited for the other to come to his room. Hatori came in.
\"I\'m back Akito\" he said.
\"Ah yes… Hatori, would you please deliver this message to Ms. Honda? I would like to meet her tomorrow and if possible..unaccompanied\" Akito spoke. Hatori gave one of his cynical looks, he wanted to protest for her and was far afraid that Akito might have another plot to cause harm to Tohru, but it seems like Akito read his mind.
\"No need to worry, I will not do her any harm\" Akito said calmly. Hatori was skeptical at first but he couldn\'t really go against what Akito wants. With that he nodded and went out. Akito smiled at his little companion was perched upon his finger.
\"Shall I give my existence more meaning? Well I\'ll do it..for her\"he whisphered softly,as he set the bird free.
-At Shigure\'s house-
\"RIIIIIING!\" went the phone. Shigure wasted not time and picked it up. \"Hello?\"he answered. There was a long pause before the caller spoke.
\"Shigure,it\'s me\"the caller answered.
\"Oh Tori, why call all of the sudden? Could it be you missed me too much and just couldn\'t resist to hear my sweet voice once more?\"Shigure mocked which just made Hatori snort out loud.
\"Yeah right! Down to the point Shigure, will Tohru be free by tomorrow?\"he asked.Shigure was surprised as to why Hatori had asked this of him.
\"Well maybe I would have to ask her, why ask?\"he replied.
\"You might find it strange but Akito suddenly asked to see her and she must go alone, don\'t ask why I don\'t know either but he did promise that he won\'t hurt her\"he answered.
\"Eh?that is strange, especially hearing that request from Akito himself, well I\'ll call you back when I get an answer from Tohru\"he said,with that the other line went dead. Shigure put the phone down and scratched his head wondering, \'What could Akito be planning?\'. The front door slid open and in went Tohru,Yuki and Kyo.
\"Shut up you stupid cat!\"Yuki yelled out.
\"You shut up you damn rat!You want a fight?\"Kyo growled. Shigure came out from the den and greeted them.
\"Oh Shigure we\'re back\"Tohru greeted and smiled,while the other two were still so busy bickering.
\"Oh Tohru…Hatori called and asked if you could visit the main house tomorrow?\"Shigure asked. Tohru raised her brow and looks at Shigure.
\"Hmm.i guess I am free by tomorrow,why Shigure? Does Hatori need me to watch over Momiji again?\"she asked sweetly. Shigure shook his head. \"Akito, wants to see you\"he replied. After Shigure said this Yuki and Kyo stopped bickering as the expression on their faces were priceless.
\"WHAT?!\"they both yelled out in unison.
\"What do you mean Akito wants to see Ms.Honda?\"Yuki asked.
\"Are you forgetting who you\'re talking about Shigure? This is Akito, we can\'t trust him when he says he won\'t hurt Tohru\" Kyo spat. Tohru blinked \'Akito,wants to..see me?\'she thought. Poor Shigure\'s clothes were torn from the rough shaking.
\"Uh guys, I don\'t mind..i can go tomorrow\" she said,making Yuki and Kyo stare at her with disbelief.
\"Ms.Honda for your own safety I don\'t think being alone with Akito is such a good idea\"Yuki started.
\"For once I agree with the damn rat, how bout we go out somewhere-\"Kyo said but was cut off by Tohru.
\"It\'s ok guys, thanks for being concerned about me but I have to deal with this alone. Please don\'t worry to much I\'ll be fine.Maybe Akito just wants to talk\"she replied.Shigure looked at Tohru, she was serious about this.
\"Oh well, we can\'t change her mind Yuki. Hatori will come by around 8\" Shigure reminded. Tohru gave out one of her sweetest smiles to assure everyone that she\'ll be okay. Yuki and Kyo sighed they knew that they cannot change Tohru\'s mind. After dinner they all went to bed. Tohru laid down on her bed and looked at the ceiling. \'I wonder what Akito would want with me\' she thought, and drifted into sleep a few minutes after.
