Toss the Feathers
By YamiKitsune and YamiBakura (formerly Weiss Kittyn)

Omi walked down the hall looking for the right door leading to the computer room. Weiss\' new mission was to find information on a stream of kidnappings. And Omi was left to get the information off the computer.

He finally found the right door, and smiling, he went in. He looked around, letting his eyes adjust to the dimly lit room. He saw a computer over on the desk that was already turned on. As he went over to it, the foor closed behind him. Omi spun quickly when he heard the telltale click. His eyes met with a man dressed in black, his face hidden by a mask. But that wasn\'t what shocked Omi the most.

The man was using one arm to hold a dazed-looking Nagi up as he tossed a needle to the side. Omi frowned and reached for his darts as a reflex, but his hand was grabbed.

\"I don\'t think so, little boy,\" a second man in black sneered. Omi turned to hit him, but his other arm was grabbed also. Omi had never been to keen on hand to hand combat, and never went beyond the minor basics. He was stuck.

\"Who are you?!\" he yelled, trying to pull away.

\"That is none of your business,\" the man said, and looked behind him at Nagi. Nagi blinked sluggishly, his vision was blurry. He could barely make out Omi in the darkness. A third man came into the room.

\"The information is gone, are you two ready?\" He asked, glancing at Omi and Nagi. The man hit Omi in the back of the neck.

\"Now we are.\"

Omi woke up slowly. His head was throbbing, and his vision was still fuzzy around the edges. He blinked rapidly until his eyes adjusted to the near-darkness of this new room. A small, unmoving lump lay nearby.

\"Huh...? Where.... where am I?\" His voice sounded small and fell flat in the room. The other form stirred slightly.

\"Hey, are you okay?\" Omi reached out for the other person. He thought it might be Nagi. He seemed to recall Nagi looking like someone had drugged him.

Nagi jerked back, his hand flinging out instinctively. He paused and blinked, confused when whoever was with him didn\'t go flying immediately into the far wall.

\"What\'ve you done to me, Weiss?\" he snarled, suddenly recognising his companion.

Omi backed off, wondering why he HADN\'T been flung into the other side of the room. \"I didn\'t do ANYTHING to you! There were these three guys... The mission!\" Omi got up quickly, and looked around for a way out. Nagi glared, watching him.

\"What are you doing?\" he asked.

\"I need to find a way out. The others are going to worry about me.\" Omi said as he looked over the door.

Nagi just sat back on the bed, crossing his arms over his chest. He closed his eyes, and tried to contact Schuldig. Now that he could think clearly, he could concentrate his thoughts and Schuldig would hear him. After five minutes of trying, Nagi was shocked to find that something was blocking his thoughts from reaching the German. Nagi pulled his knees up to his chest, hugging them tightly. He had gotten so used to being able to call the german any time he wanted.

Omi huffed and leaned back against the door when he couldn\'t find a way to open it. He wondered if the others would come looking for him soon. But it would probably be a while, if Omi didn\'t know where he was, then the others would have a hard time finding him.

Omi was snapped out of his thoughts when the door opened, sending him falling to the floor. Nagi sat up quickly when a man in a white coat came in followed by two others. The two pinned Omi to the floor. The doctor-looking man in white leaned down and pushed Omi\'s head to the side, and roughly stuck a needle in the struggling boys neck.

Nagi watched with wide eyes as the man drew blood from Omi. He pulled the needle out and capped it. The men continued to hold Omi down as the doctor went over to Nagi.

Nagi tried again to call out for Schuldig, and in failing that, attempted to use his powers to protect himself. Nothing worked, and he panicked. In his moment of confusion, the doctor slammed him into the wall and jabbed a seperate needle into his neck. Nagi was presented with the odd sensation of having blood drawn from his body with a hollow tube, and then suddenly it was gone, and he was left with a stinging in his throat. The doctor chuckled, and thanked him softly. Both capsules of blood were labeled, and the doctor made his exit. Omi was struck again, knocking him senseless, and one of the men advanced on Nagi with a seperate needle filled with a strange bluish liquid. He felt a prick of pain as the needle entered his arm and was emptied, and then suddenly his world tilted and swayed, and he knew no more.

When Omi awoke again, he realized he was lying in a completely different room than before. It too was lit, dimly, but better than before. He could see his surroundings clearly without having to strain. He was on a large, comfortable bed, and across the room was another. He recognised its dark haired occupant as the schwarz telekinetic, Nagi. They just kept running into eachother. His head was pounding, and he\'d have giving anything for a couple of strong painkillers. A mechanical voice broke the silence.

Welcome to Angel Lab. You are test subject Number 47. You have full roam in this house. Nothing is here, and nothing will be given to you that can be used as a weapon. Your vital signs and statistics will be monitored the entire duration.

The voice seemed to rouse Nagi. As he stirred, the voice began again, closer to him.

Welcome to Angel Lab. You are test subject Number 48. You have...

Omi tuned it out, instead focusing on his surroundings. The walls were pale blue, and pictures were hung at various locations. A sheet of plastic covered the entire wall, rounding off corners, and protecting it from harm. Omi guessed it would have to be at least six inches thick, and solid. He stood up, and realized his clothes were gone, and instead he was wearing a loose hospital-green tunic and matching pants. Around his wrist and ankle were identification bands. He wandered into the living room. The furniture had no definate shape, and nothing had any sharp corners. The TV was implanted into the wall, the remote into the table. Everything was covered in the thick plastic.

Welcome to Angel Lab, Number 47. This is the living room. You may watch TV, or any movie you wish. Simply use the romote control located on the table. Welcome Number 48. This is the living room.

Omi turned, and realized Nagi had followed him. He was staring at his hands disbelievingly. Omi ignored him, and moved into the kitchen. The only thing in the kitchenwas a table, and a door to the bathroom. Omi blinked, wondering where all the food was kept. He glanced into the bathroom, and was amazed at the sheer size of it.

Welcome #47. This is the kitchen. You will only eat here when food is brought to you.

Omi frowned more. He continued looking around the small apartment. When he went back to the living room, Nagi was sitting on the couch, still staring at his hands; they were shaking now. Omi blinked at him, and went over to see if the other boy was okay. Even though they were enemies, they WERE stuck here together.

\"Nagi?\" Omi asked as he sat next to the smaller boy. Nagi lashed out as a reflex, of surprise. He hit Omi in the chest with his hands. Omi gasped, holding his breath and expecting the harsh blow he had grown used to when dealing with Nagi.

Omi blinked, slowly opening his eyes when nothing happened. Nagi sat there staring at Omi. He pulled his hands back quickly and moved away from Omi. Nagi looked close to panicked. He really was weak without his powers. Omi seemed to notice this also.

\"Nagi? Is there something wrong with...\"

\"Nothing is wrong with my powers!!\" Nagi yelled, glaring at Omi. Omi held up his hands in defense. Nagi turned away from him, and Omi merely watched.

Both boys looked up when the door opened. Omi glared at the doctor that came in.

\"I\'m glad to see you both awake, Numbers 47 and 48. My name is Doctor Roku, and you will listen to me, and follow my orders. If you fail to do so, you will be punished.\"

\"You can\'t order me around. And I won\'t listen to you .\" Omi said.

\"I don\'t think you know who you have kidnapped,\" Nagi said standing. Roku just smirked at them.

\"Oh, but I do know who you are, Nagi. Having a little trouble with your powers? And Omi, you will listen to me whether you want to or not.\" Roku chuckled at the twin looks of surprise on their faces. \"I suggest you get a good nights sleep, my Angels. You have a busy day tomorrow.\" Roku said as he swept out of the room.

Omi hit the door with his fist after it had closed. \"What the hell?\"

The voice issued forth from the wall again. Number 47, please back away from the door.

Nagi was getting tired of it. \"What\'s WITH all this? Numbers and creepy doctors, and freaky warnings... What IS all this?!\"

Omi gasped as he sat down again. \"47 and 48...All the kidnapping victims.. there\'ve been 46 so far. .. They must\'ve been brought here. But .... why? And they MUST\'VE known, about YOU at least. How else could they have known about your powers, AND taken steps against them?\" Omi, being a friendly person, tried to make friends with his cellmate. \"Nagi, right? .... So.... what do you like to do?\"

Nagi frowned. \"I don\'t want to make friends, WEISS.\" The emphasis on his team name was proof enough of that.

\"It\'s OMI. Jeez... This sucks... Who\'s kidnapped us, and WHY?\"

\"If I knew THAT, do you think I\'d be HERE?\" Nagi snapped. Omi winced and got up.

\"Well, NAGI, I\'m going to bed. Goodnight.\" Nagi merely glared in the other direction by way of answer.

Nagi sighed. After the weiss boy left, he felt safe enough to start breaking down. He was trapped, ALONE, and powerless. Things couldn\'t get any worse. Nagi curled up on himself, holding back childish tears. //Why me...?//

Ken passed by Omi\'s room. Omi hadn\'t come back the night before from the mission. He was really worried. Yohji had called Kritiker, and reported it, and was told that Omi was fine. Apparently they had him working on something for them, and they were sorry Weiss hadn\'t been contacted.

Ken was still worried, though. He had a sinking suspicion that he would never see their youngest member again. He shook his head, disgarding that thought as soon as it passed through his mind.

Roku looked down at Omi, who was strapped to the table. Omi screamed as he was given another shop. He had been woken up early that morning, and dragged out of the room. Nagi was left to sleep. It was now nearing eleven, and he\'d been given a total of five shots in the five hours he\'d been away from the room. Omi whimpered as he felt the serum taking effect. He didn\'t know what these people were doing to him, but he felt like every inch of his body were on fire.

\"Alright, that will be enough for today,\" Omi heard Roku say. \"Take him back to the room. And then come back and set up for number 48.\" Omi was taken off the table and dragged back to the room.

Nagi was reading a book, trying to calm himself a bit. He\'d woken up and didn\'t remember where he was. He looked up and tensed when the door opened. He blinked when Omi was dumped on the floor, and the door closed again.

Omi groaned. He\'d been in agony since waking up. He had enough sense left to realize that he was a victim of what was turning out to be horrible human experiments. He tried to get up, and ended up staggering backwards. A wall caught him, and saved him from a painful meeting with the floor, but the room spun angrily.

Nagi watched Omi, trying to pretend like the boys absence and then sudden reappearance hadn\'t bothered him by hiding behind the book. He seemed more like an honored guest than a captive, and whenever he\'d asked for something, it was delivered promptly. In the forty-five minutes since he\'d woken up alone, and confused, he\'d had his favorite drink, and a book delivered.

Omi finally felt good enough to push off the wall he\'d been leaning against for support. He saw Nagi on the couch and wobbled over to him.

\"Nagi. Have they taken you yet? Don\'t let them! Don\'t ---\"

Two men came back through the door. They pushed Omi off the the side, where the injections began acting up again, and he curled up in pain. They grabbed Nagi while he wasn\'t looking.

\"No! Let me go!\"

\"NO!! DON\'T TAKE HIM!\" The words were out of his mouth before he realized it, and suddenly Omi was left wondering why he was trying to protect his \'enemy.\' Were they enemies?

Over the next week Omi and Nagi would be dragged out of the room one at a time. When they got back they were either in too much pain to move, or simply unconscious.

Nagi was pacing back and forth in the living room. Roku had come by and dragged Omi out. It had been nearly four hours. Nagi didn\'t want to admit that he was worried about the other boy; over the last few days, they\'d become something like friends. Nagi sat down on the couch thinking about the other day.

-*- - -

Omi was eating breatfast trying to get something in his stomach before the next experiment time. He had only taken a few bites when the door opened, signalling the return of Nagi. Omi took another bite before going to see if the other boy was alright.

The door closed just as Omi came in. He looked down at the boy on the floor. He gasped when he saw Nagi\'s hair was matted to his face with blood that was flowing freely from a gash on his head.

\"Nagi!\" Omi rushed over to him. Enemy or not, Nagi needed help. Omi lifted him a little, as the other boy pushed at him. \"Nagi. What did they do to you?\"

\"I... tried to... run away....\" Nagi managed to get out before losing consciousness.

Nagi\'d woken up the next day to find a cold cloth on his head, and bandages made out of Omi\'s best sheet, since they wouldn\'t give him any real bandages. Nagi woke up and found Omi asleep in the chair. He had stayed up all night, making sure Nagi was alright.

--- ---- ----

Nagi looked at the time. \"Four and a half hours now, and still no Omi.\" Nagi sighed, sitting down. He\'d just stared dozing off when the door opened and the sound of a body falling to the floor echoed through the spacious apartment. Nagi snapped awake, and looked over at the door as it closed. He looked down to where Omi lay on the floor, twitching slightly.

His back and arms were covered in blood, which was shocking enough on its own. On top of all the blood, there were two large wings spread out across the floor. Crimson stained the soft white feathers. The wings twitched as Omi tried to move.

Omi groaned in pain. \"N....ag.....i...i...\"

Nagi could only stare, disbelievingly. \"What have they DONE to you?\" Nagi was frightened. There was so much BLOOD and those wings... WINGS. Human beings didn\'t have wings. This was unnatural! Omi lifted his face and Nagi saw tears flowing down over his cheeks. \"Na......g.i.......it....hurts.....!\" he gasped out, and Nagi forgot his amazement. Nearly a week and a half of unending cycles of pain and injections on top of not knowing when or who was next had brought the two of them closer together. They were by no means the best of friends, but they worried about eachother, and took care of eachother.

Now he pulled Omi into the bathroom, amazed at how heavy the wings were. Omi would be weak after four and a half hours, AND with these things on top of it all...? He dumped Omi unceremoniously in the shower. They\'d both marveled at how huge everything was, especially the bathroom, but he now saw why; a normal sized anything wouldn\'t be able to accomodate the sheer enormity of the wings. Omi seemed to be in pain, but he was unconscious now, something Nagi was grateful for/ They\'d had their sheets \'refilled\' numerous times even though they were still denied actual bandages. Nagi ripped Omi\'s clothes off, and stared. The wings actually seemed to be PART of Omi! What HAD they done?! The water swirled pink down the drain.

Nagi used a rag and washed Omi\'s back and feathers. Nagi\'s hand shook as he gently cleaned the blood off Omi\'s wings. //Are they going to do this to me, too?// Nagi wondered as his hand traveled down Omi\'s wing. His hand brushed the base of it, where feather met skin, and frowned. He was no medical genius, but it appeared as though they had literally attached the wings onto Omi\'s back. The skin had already started to scab around the base, hiding most of the stitches.

\"Poor Omi...\" Nagi said before he realized it. He shook his head. No, he couldn\'t get any more attached to the Weiss boy.

Nagi cleaned Omi up as best he could before bringing him to the bedroom. He layed Omi down on his back by accident. He\'d meant to lay him on his side, but the wings were so heavy, he\'d lost control. Omi\'s eyes snapped open and he screamed.

\"NO! STOP IT!! IT HURTS!!!\" Omi yelled, rolling away from Nagi. Nagi winced.

\"Omi, calm down, you\'re back in the room.\" He hoped Omi would calm down, and relax. He\'d never seen the blonde boy look so frightened. Omi had his arms around himself as he started shaking, and gasping for breath. He was nearly hyperventilating.

Nagi slowly climbed onto the bed with him, and reached out to touch his arm. Omi flinched.

\"Omi...it\'s okay.\" Nagi said, softly reassuring. He sat next to him quietly for a minute, and Omi looked at him. He was a little shocked at first, but then he leaned against him, his hand fisted in Nagi\'s hospital gown. Nagi put an arm around him, just holding him. He\'d never been to keen on the whole \'comforting people\' bit, but he remembered Farfarello used to do this when he\'d had nightmares after joining Schwarz.

They just stayed like that for a while. Nagi could feel Omi\'s tears soaking through the hospital clothes, but he didn\'t let go. After a few more minutes, Nagi finally asked. \"What did they do, Omi?\" He felt Omi tense a little, and grip his shirt harder.

\"Th....they....dragged me t-to the l-lab,\" Omi stuttered out. \"Roku said... that I wouldn\'t get any more shots. A-and th-they ....and he....the pain wouldn\'t stop. Oh god, make the pain stop... I screamed, but they didn\'t listen.\" Omi was just rambling now.

\"Omi, Omi... Shhh... It\'s okay now. You\'re in your bed. And they can\'t hurt you now,\" Nagi said, trying to calm him down again. Nagi had to admit he felt a little bit bad for the youngest member of Weiss. The way Omi was shaking and crying he didn\'t seem like an assassin anymore. He seemed more like a frightened child. And even though Nagi told himself that he and omi were enemies, part of him wondered how long that would last.

Omi pulled away from the younger teen. Comfort in a moment of weakness was not something he\'d been expecting. He\'d been sure that Nagi would just push him away disdainfully. He liked this new Nagi, and he wondered if it was just temporary. He wiped his eyes, and noticed he was still trembling. There was a weight behind him that he didn\'t like, but he couldn\'t bring himself to turn his head and find out what it was.

\"nagi...\" He whispered, his voice almost cracking. \"What....what did they DO?\" Omi watched Nagi\'s expression carefully.

Nagi felt the simple workds strike him like a blow to the gut. Without answering he silently reached over Omi\'s shoulder and gently lifted one wing. Omi winced slightly and glanced at it.

The glance became a stare, which morphed into a scream.

Nagi sat by him until he\'d screamed himself hoarse, and was sleeping gently. He\'d always thought of Weiss as an annoyance, as something he could have done without. He\'d always seen them at their strongest, most powerful, and to see Omi like this... It made him feel protective of the older teen. He didn\'t care what they did to him, just so long as they didn\'t hurt Omi again. Nagi smiled wistfully as he remembered staking out the flowershop one day, just after they\'d first watched Weiss clash with Schreient. Back then, most of his attention had been on Tot, but while he watched the flowershop, a blonde young man with an easy smile was the one who kept coming back to haunt him. Nagi stroked Omi\'s hair, and then got up sighing.

Omi felt ashamed of himself. He\'d seen most of what they\'d done to him, but when Nagi brought the horrible nightmare crashing into reality, he\'d lost it.

Even as Omi now slept, Nagi could see the older boy still shaking slightly. Nagi knew Omi was scared. But then it dawned on him that Omi must be terrified. There was no way Omi could ever be normal again. Not as long as he had those wings. Nagi had grown up knowing what it was like to be labeled a freak. Nagi was used to being alone. But from all the time he spent watching Omi, it was rare that he was seen alone. He was constantly surrounded by people, by his friends.

Nagi reached out stroking Omi\'s hair again. \"I won\'t let anyone hurt you.\"

\"You should be more concerned about yourself, Number 48.\" A new voice said. Nagi turned quickly, just in time to see two men reach out and grab him. Roku smirked from the doorway.

\"Sleep well, Angel 47,\" he said to Omi as Nagi was dragged out.

\"LET ME GO!\" Nagi screamed. A few things around them started to shake, showing that the drug they had Nagi on couldn\'t fully contain his powers.

\"Get him to the lab, NOW.\" Roku snapped.

The two men nodded and dragged Nagi off to the lab. Roku glanced back at the still sleeping Omi before following.

_*_*_*

When Roku got to the lab, Nagi was already strapped down on the table. He was still struggling.

\"Calm down, Number 48, this won\'t hurt.... Much.\"

\"You bastard!\"

\"Oh, my, such colorful language from such a little boy,\" Roku said as he pulled on his gloves. \"I will have to see what I can do about that mouth of yours.\" Nagi just glared at him, his anger rising. The tools next to the table began to shake, but Roku ignored it and grabbed the scalpel.

\"Bring the wings over. We will begin now.\" Roku commanded, before cutting into Nagi\'s back, right on the edge of the shoulder blade. Nagi threw his head back and sreamed. Once there was a big enough gash in the flesh, Roku held it open as the base of the wing was slid in. Nagi thrashed as his body was sent into spasms of pain. Through the pain he oculd vaguely feel something moving inside his back. The wings were attaching themselves to his shoulder blades and spine.

Nagi screamed and a scalpel shot across the room, sticking into one mans throat.

\"Quickly! Contain him!\" Roku shouted. One man got Nagi\'s shot and injected it quickly. Nagi\'s screams slowly died down to whimpers as the drug took effect.

\"Feel better after your little temper tantrum?\" Roku asked as he started stitching the wings to make sure they didn\'t fall of, or get ripped out.

Nagi glared fuzzily at him. \"Fuck..... you.....\" he ground out, feeling the drug that dampened his powers also dampen his pain.

Roku finished the procedire smoothly. \"Very good, Number 48. Very few have made it this far still alive. I have high hope for yourself, and number 47.

While Nagi was away having his wings put on, Omi decided that lying around feeling sorry for himself wasn\'t going to change anything. So after a short nap, he began to wander through the small apartment. Everything that had at first seemed superhumanly large was now just enough to allow for his wings. Everything made sense now. Everything that had been done, or shown to them, was for this. As he walked, he found it easier and easier to hold up his wings. He still felt tired, and they were still infinately heavy, but instead of just drooping to the ground, he could now lift them up. The pain he\'d been experiencing earlier was also fading, but as he had no way to look behind him, he had no way to see what was happening. He decided that if they were doing to Nagi what they\'d done to him, he\'d give Nagi a few days to get used to his wings, and then they\'d make a break for it.

The door opened while Omi was in the bedroom, and he rushed out at the loud WHUMPF that was the unmistakeable sound of a body hitting the floor. Omi rushed out and saw Nagi. Fear raced through him. //So much BLOOD...how can he still be alive?// Nagi groaned and Omi remembered his experiences and rushed to take Nagi to the shower. Omi cleaned him up, the way Nagi had done for him, and took the time to examine the wings.

Nagi looked at Omi, who forced a smile. Nagi frowned. He didn\'t like it when Omi forced himself to smile, it didn\'t reach his eyes. If Omi\'d really been smiling, his eyes would be dancing with humor, but right now, they just seemed dead.

\"Can you stand?\" Omi asked, once Nagi was cleaned of blood. Nagi nodded, but still leaned against Omi when he stood.

\"We are going to have to get out of here,\" Omi said. \"Once we\'re both able to move alright on our own, we\'ll escape.\" Nagi could only nod. Right now, all he wanted to do was sleep. And he did. Both boys lay down on one of the beds, their wings wrapped around eachother as they fell asleep.

Roku was immensely pleased with himself. Thirty-four deaths, and twelve utter failures had yielded these two, perfect, ALIVE specimens of angelic glory. Everything was going according to plan.

_*_*_*_*

Omi and Nagi spent the next several days practicing moving around with their wings. Something in one of those shots they\'d been given had changed them on the inside as well, and the wounds from the surgery closed and healed quickly.

Roku spoke to them often, calling them his angels. Mostly they just ignored him. Finally one day, they both decided they were ready to break out.

-*-*-*

\"Three weeks, Brad! Nagi has never disappeared for more than a day!\" Schuldig yelled at him. Crawford just pushed up his glasses and stood up. Schuldig glared at him.

\"I have a meeting at Estet. And you\'re coming with me.\"

\"What? No way in hell! I\'m going to go look for Nagi again.\" Schuldig stated, turning towards the door.

\"You won\'t be able to find him with just your powers. It would be like looking for a contact lense in the desert.\" Schuldig just glared more.

After half an hour of fighting, Crawford finally managed to get Schuldig in the car with him. They drove for an hour before reaching Estet HQ. Schuldig glared at the building, and made a rude gesture towards it. He really didn\'t wan to be here. As they got out of the car and started inside, Schuldig\'s mind was flooded with Nagi\'s thoughts. He held his head and growled. Crawford gave him a ghost of a smile before walking off to talk to the newest batch of Estet leaders.

Schuldig sent towards Crawford before going the opposite direction.

_*_*_*

Omi and Nagi ran out of the lab. People in there were panicking, because Nagi\'s anger had overcome the drug yet again. Half of the doctors were either dead or wounded, and the other half were terrified out of their minds.

Omi held Nagi\'s hand as they ran barefoot down the hallways.

\"How do we get out of here?\" Omi gasped out as they ran. It was a lot harder to run with the extra weight on his back. His wings, and Nagi\'s had grown in the past week, making them heavier than ever.

\"This way,\" Nagi responded, pulling Omi\'s hand as they turned the corner.

Omi nearly tripped, the weight of his wings overbalancing him, and he would have fallen had someone not reached out and grabbed him.

Nagi had wrapped his arms around whoever he\'d just bumped into, and the same person was holding Omi up. Omi looked up after steadying himself, and found himself staring into the clear blue eyes of Schuldig.

\"Schu!!\" Nagi nearly squealed. \"What are you doing here? Never mind that, we need to get going, NOW.\"

Schuldig stared at Omi, and then Nagi. \"What did they do to you?\"

Nagi was getting impatient. \"Who CARES, let\'s go, NOW!\"

Omi was staring at Schuldig nervously. He was no longer sure what to do. He spun, and was preparing to run in the opposite direction, when Crawford stepped up to him, and caught his wrist.

\"Let\'s go.\"

Omi sat in the back of the spacious car, next to Nagi, and was growing progressively more and more upset.

\"What were you two doing there?\" Nagi asked, half ignoring Omi, who was staring at the two older Schwarz members.

\"Bradley said he had some business there, and dragged me along for the ride.\" Schuldig answered.

\"I saw you two there,\" Crawford said, giving Schuldig a look that said, \'don\'t call me that.\'

\"You couldn\'t have told ME that?\" Schuldig said, ignoring the look.

\"Watch the road, Schuldig,\" Crawford reminded him. Schuldig grumbled. Omi shifted in the back seat, and one of his wings started to twitch as he got a cramp in the muscles there.

\"You couldn\'t have gotten us out sooner?\" Nagi asked, almost whiny with relief that they were free.

\"No. We had to wait until you two decided to escape, otherwise we would all have been killed.\" Crawford explained. Nagi just huffed.

\"Fine.
