Alex looked into a pair of unholy red eyes and fell.

He’d say that he’d fallen before, but what was dropping a little thing like a clerical collar to actually having congress with one of the undead?

He’d seen the day coming since London fell. In the back of his mind, he’d known even then while fighting the vampire, that Integral would take Dracula’s offer of immortality. She had no reason not to.

Alex could offer his sword to her. He could offer loyalty, but he couldn’t offer the power that Dracula could. He couldn’t even blame her for the choice. It was a logical one for her; for all that he’d always seen vampires as the spawn of Satan sent to tempt humans with illusions of eternity. If any being was able to offer something even close to eternity, it was Dracula.

And what did Alex have that could compete with that? Some blessed silver and some holy papers?

He lost that battle without even entering the fray.

•••

Something had been building all day. Alex had felt it. Things were quiet, but there was a tension building that was almost tangible. He’d walked around all day feeling as though there was a mild electrical charge running through his nervous system, making him hypersensitive and edgy.

He’d felt something like this once while on an assignment in Egypt. The entire atmosphere had seemed charged just before a killer sandstorm had hit. He had stood in the middle of the storm and let it strip skin from him, leaving him panting and exalted when it had passed. It was a blessing from God to be able to endure His wonders in a way no other human could. The pain was a price worth paying.

He wandered the mansion, trying to determine the source of the tension. Seras saw him coming and suddenly “remembered” something in the other direction. By the time he reached the corridor she’d turned down, she’d disappeared entirely.

Walter had brushed Alex off with a comment about needing to oversee the workmen in their refurbishment of one of the basement suites. The vampires had probably finally decided they were tired of living in a dungeon. Trust Walter to be the one to remedy that now that he lived down there as well.

The tension finally broke as the sun went down. Alex’s aimless wandering had taken him throughout Hellsing’s demesnes, but as the light went out of the day, he felt himself drawn back to the manor, specifically to the wing of the manor where the living quarters were situated.

As he walked down the corridor, his footsteps muffled by the plush carpet underfoot, the door at the end of the hallway swung open. Nobody stood in the doorway and Alex felt compelled to walk down to the open door and into the darkened room. The door closed behind him and there was a sudden gleam of silver as Anderson drew a bayonet and looked around for the source of his unease.

“Sir Hellsing?”

“I’m here, Alexander.” Something about her tone made more than just his hackles rise and he was suddenly more relieved by the dimness than he was annoyed by it.

“Are ye alright?” He walked carefully through the room, trying not to knock over anything breakable. He’d never been in Integral’s bedroom and had no idea how things were laid out. “Can I turn on a light?”

“Not yet. I’d prefer it dark for now.” He heard the sound of shifting cloth as though she had just crossed or uncrossed her legs, perhaps. “Just follow the sound of my voice.”

“I don’t need to do that, if ye’re alright, I should just leave ye be.”

“Don’t be stupid. I invited you here.” She sounded both annoyed and amused.

His eyes were adjusted and he could see well enough to know that he was approaching a bed and that there was a figure sitting on the bed. “What do ye need?” Everything about this situation was wrong and Alex’s instincts were clamoring at him that the woman sitting on the bed was one of the most wrong things about the circumstance.

“First, I need the blade you’re holding, Alexander. You weren’t planning to harm me, were you?” Her shadowy form rose from the bed and crossed the floor to where he stood. He relaxed his grip on his bayonet and let her fingers open his and slide the weapon out of his hand.

“No. I wanted…” To make sure you were alright? No. I wanted to see you? No. I wanted to make sure you were alright and to see you in your bedroom? Almost.

“You wanted to see me in my bedroom to make sure I was alright and what, Alexander?” She stepped closer to him and Anderson took an unconscious step away.

“I want a light on now.” Alex looked at the grey on greyscape of the room and tried to guess which shape was a lamp. The closest was on a low stand next to the bed. He stepped around Integral and turned the lamp on.

The first things he saw were several empty blood packets and a pair of glasses sitting on the bedside table. He knew what he was going to see when he turned around, but he wasn’t expecting Integral to be standing right next to him when he did.

He saw a flash of red eyes and then she had grabbed the front of his shirt and slammed him back against the wall. She stood uncomfortably close and looked up at him.

“Are you going to try to harm me now?” she challenged while she held his bayonet denting the skin of his adam’s apple.

Alex nearly shook his head, but would have cut himself on the bayonet at his throat. He thought better of letting a new vampire, even Integral, draw his blood. “I’m not some bastard to come into a woman’s bedroom and try to hurt her.” He reached up and slowly pushed the flat of the blade to push the point away from his throat.

Integral swatted his hand with the blade, but pulled it back, instead using it to cut the top button off of his shirt.

“What are ye doing? I’m not going to feed ye. I’ve fallen, but not that far.”

Integral responded by cutting the rest of the buttons off of his shirt with one swift sweep down his torso. As deft as the movement had been, Alex almost hadn’t felt the slight sting of the cut next to his nipple. He’d been watching her carefully and he saw her nostrils flare slightly before she pulled his shirt open and licked the blood away from the swiftly healing cut.

“Don’t,” Alex protested without conviction. He wanted to kick himself for his weakness, but he thought that the feel of her tongue across his cut would have been enough to weaken the most stoic of saints, and Alex knew he was no saint.

Integral shook her head slightly while she finished licking away the last spot of blood from his now healed skin. “You aren’t a priest any longer. You can’t tell me your vow of celibacy still applies. The only thing you’re vowed to now is loyalty to me.”

She reached up and pulled his head down until she could whisper in his ear, “If I live thousands of years, there will still only be one man who was my first lover. Do you want that to be Alucard?” She brought up the blade in her hand and made a cut on the side of his neck before he could pull away from the sharp tip.

Alex clamped his hands down on Integral’s shoulders intending to push her away, but couldn’t bring himself to do it when her mouth closed over the cut. Despite his best intentions, the bones in his legs felt soft even as he became anything but in other ways.

He knew he was lost when he moaned and pulled her closer instead of pushing her away.

“That’s right, Alexander,” Integral murmured approvingly when she pulled away from his neck. “Better you than Alucard, right?”

Better he than his enemy? To do what? Alex found his hands had caught up with the inescapable nature of his situation faster than he had, when they seemingly pulled him down to Integral to kiss her. She would probably let him go if he insisted and then he’d have to return to his room to think about what she was doing with the vampire instead of with him.

She tasted of blood, cigars, and something that was quintessentially Integral.

His breathing quickened at the thoughts of holding Integral Hellsing in his arms while they did things together than neither had done before. He was decades older than he looked, but also less experienced than he looked. First war, and then the priesthood, had conspired to keep him from ever knowing this communion of flesh.

He broke from their kiss and leaned against the wall. “I’ve never done this before.” Not even with a human, let alone a vampire.

“I can taste that,” she answered with a laugh. “We’ll be on even footing.”

“Ye’ll not…”

“I’ll not what? Bite you?” Integral leaned up on tiptoe and licked the hollow of his throat and laughed when he shivered. “Would that be so bad? Think of the power you’d gain.” She dragged her fangs down the skin of his chest, coming tantalizingly close to drawing blood.

If Alex hadn’t known that Integral held this power over him before her change, he would have been certain that the fascination he felt with her was a demonic trick. But the only demons behind this were the ones in his own mind and soul. “Don’t ask me that now.”

“It’s now or never, Alexander Anderson,” Integral stated while she began to unbuckle his belt. “Because very soon you won’t qualify.”

His answer caught in his throat when she slipped her hand inside his trousers and grasped him firmly. This was how a virgin Integral behaved? He thought a sexually experienced Integral might eat him alive.

“Wouldn’t you like to live long enough to see that?” Integral asked while she began to stroke him to full hardness. “You already serve me until damnation. Make the time of service more meaningful.”

“I can’t think when ye do that,” Alex gasped. He didn’t know what to do with his hands. Here was a beautiful woman doing things to him only his dreams had shown him before and he didn’t know where to put his hands. On her shoulders? Her hips? Another protest caught in his throat when Integral caught one of his hands and placed it on her breast.

“You don’t need to do any more thinking. You’ve already decided what your answer is,” Integral said before her mouth closed over his nipple. He stiffened, his whole body quivering in anticipation of her bite.

When it didn’t come, he relaxed as much as he could with Integral Hellsing stroking him so intimately and her mouth on his nipple. He could feel her fangs occasionally scrape the skin and started to realize that what he was feeling was disappointment that she hadn’t done what he’d expected. Why hadn’t she bitten him if she knew what his answer would be?

She stopped and looked up at him again. She was such a figure that Alex usually forgot how much taller than Integral he was. “I am not going to bite you until you ask. I will not have another vampire moping around my organization because he ‘didn’t know this would happen,’ or ‘didn’t ask to be made a vampire.’” She removed her hand from his erection and stepped back, “Now ask or leave.”

Alex watched while Integral began to unbutton her blouse, all the while watching his face. The brassiere she revealed looked functional and comfortable, but its sex appeal rose more from whose breasts it covered rather than from its design.

His throat closed and he could barely swallow when she dropped her shirt on the floor and began unbuttoning her trousers. He wasn’t sure he could speak to ask her even if he could break out of this paralysis his own lust had brought him to.

Integral slid her trousers off and left them on the floor next to the blouse she’d already dropped. “Get out.” She pointed to the door. “I’ll call Alucard instead if you’re going to be a coward.”

“No,” he croaked, then cleared his throat. “No. I’ll ask.” He had to close his eyes, and even then the image of Integral Hellsing wearing nothing but a pair of white cotton underwear and a bra was emblazoned on his retinas. They snapped open again when he felt a soft weight against the front of his body and his arms encircled her of their own accord.

“Then ask,” she said, resting her chin on his chest and watching his face with her gleaming red eyes.

Alex couldn’t meet her eyes, closing his instead; he was going to ask for his final fall. “Would ye bite me? Let me serve ye.”

His eyes flew open when Integral pulled him away from the wall and just as quickly pushed him until the backs of his legs met the side of her bed. When he tried to catch his balance, she used a hand against his chest to push him off balance and backward onto the bed where she promptly climbed atop him and straddled the bewildered ex-priest.

Now she looked at him appraisingly. He watched her, his hands on her thighs and his thumbs nervously stroking the smooth skin there. He saw her come to some sort of decision and restrained a groan of disappointment when she got off of him again.

“Get undressed.”

Alex swallowed nervously again. This was where they were going, he knew that, but being so baldly commanded to get naked was unnerving. He forgot most of his disconcertion when she opened the clasp of her bra and slid it off, revealing her breasts to him. He also was too fascinated by the sight of Integral so exposed before him to remember her command until she repeated it with an edge of irritation.

He sat up and removed his shirt and kicked off his shoes and socks before sliding his trousers and underwear off and leaving them in a heap at the side of the bed. Once he was fully nude, Integral nodded her approval and slid her panties off.

She pushed him back on the bed and climbed on top of him again. His entire body jerked when he felt her slide across his erection and stop, pinning his member between their bodies.

“Tell me what I’m going to do to you, Alexander. This is your last chance.” His last chance to back out? Not bloody likely now.

“Ye’re going to bite me, make me yer vampire; then ye’re going to…” He groped for a word; they weren’t going to make love, but this was something more than just fucking. Fornicate? Have sex? “We’re going to lose our virginities together.”

“That’s right. You’ll be my vampire.” Integral leaned up and stroked his scarred cheek and kissed him, more tenderly than she had before. She’d had to rise off of his body to reach his face for the kiss and his hips rose of their own volition, seeking the weight of her again.

The look on her face when she pulled back from the kiss was triumphant, almost gloating. She settled back against Alex and his arousal was almost enough to distract him from what he knew was coming. His lust couldn’t be sated until after she bit him, and he found he wasn’t afraid, just anxious to have it done and to be inside her, to penetrate her in his own way after she penetrated him in hers.

He shivered when her lips came down on his chest. He knew he didn’t need to lose much blood for this, it was the bite itself that was the key; the unholy alchemy of a vampire’s bite with her victim’s blood. Where would she choose to bite? Wherever she wanted, he knew. Every press of lips against his skin and drag of fang on his flesh made him shiver more, and his fingers dug into her thighs as the anticipation built.

The bite itself was more than he’d ever expected. Alex almost shouted when Integral’s sharp teeth slid into the meat of his pectoral muscle. Every swallow of blood she took made her tongue rub across his nipple and he moaned incoherently and writhed under her. Heat seemed to spread from the bite to suffuse his limbs with a languor that was beyond sensual.

He was so absorbed in the sensation of his blood and humanity being taken that he barely noticed Integral raise her hips off of him and reach between their bodies to grasp his erection again. When she guided him inside of her, the sensory overload was almost more than he could tolerate. He shuddered under her touch and submitted to the feelings that were flooding his nervous system even while his life was slipping away from him to be replaced by something else.

Integral licked a trickle of blood away from the bite and sat up, bracing herself on his chest while she began to move her hips, trying to find the angle and motion that pleased her most. If it was supposed to be uncomfortable, Integral hadn’t noticed. She’d been too absorbed in the raw pleasure of taking a human life with her bite. The hot flood of blood in her mouth had trumped any minor discomfort she might have experienced from Alexander’s more than adequate endowment.

Now she rode the prone man, seeking her own pleasure while he submitted to the transformation his body was undergoing. This was different from her own solo pleasures, which she knew well, better in its own way, but she thought with practice it could be much better in some ways.

Although, looking down at the man under her while he writhed and moaned in the grips of his transformation and her possession of him, she doubted that any experience would have quite this degree of triumph to it.

Slowly, Alex’s thoughts became more coherent. It was impossible to separate the sensations of what his body was doing to him and what was being done to his body. The first thing that made sense to him was the sight of Integral with her head thrown back, eyes closed while she moved herself on him. He couldn’t focus on her properly and couldn’t figure out why. When he removed his glasses to rub his eyes, he realized they were the reason for his difficulty. He dropped them carelessly and began to tentatively touch Integral, wanting to be more than just an inactive participant.

Integral opened her eyes and met his look with a catlike smirk of satisfaction. He was completely hers and would be even if or when she chose to release him as a free vampire. She gave him explicit directions on where and how to touch her, expecting that his pleasure would follow hers as day follows night.

The room was loud with the sounds of murmured commands, low moans, and the movement of the bed under their bodies. Integral closed her eyes and rode the first wave of her orgasm while her hands closed on Alex’s forearms and dug in, leaving bleeding marks that healed as fast as they were made. The added smell of blood in the air brought the waves in faster and harder and she dropped her face against his chest and muffled her moans by biting him again and keeping her mouth against the wounds.

Alex had no way to muffle the involuntarily cries, almost shouts, that Integral’s actions elicited. Few things brought him the sort of satisfaction that seeing Integral Hellsing lose herself to pleasure that he’d helped bring her and her bite pushed the sensations past his limits.

The room was briefly louder with the sound of shared pleasure and then was quiet.

Alex broke the silence with a promise that made Integral laugh against his chest. “I promise to do better next time.”
