It started to become an everyday occurs. Aranseur would come over to the mobile unit where Seur-Chong and the gang lived, demanding that her older brother, Myung-Ho, give up the way he was living, forever ranting about how much danger Seur-Chong put him in. As always, Myung-Ho would turn her down saying that he enjoyed his life as part of a dragon hunter team. But this never detruded Aranseur one bit. She would find away to separate the two even if it was the last thing she did.

Night came quickly as did her fear for her brother’s life. /He doesn’t care what happens to my brother! As long as Seur-Chong can earn a nyang (1), then Orabuni (2) will be in danger. / Tears started to flow freely as she ran from her room to the roof.

/My brother should think about what he is doing to me. / Sitting down Aranseur had to laugh. She had ran to her brother’s favorite spot. Ever since she could remember Myung-Ho had sat on the roof to think or to be alone./It looks like I am picking up brother’s habits/.

“Aranseur, what are you doing up here so late?” a voice called from behind.

Startled Aranseur whirled around carefully as not to fall, “Mistress So-Chun.”

“What is wrong?” So-Chun asked very worried.

“It’s like this…”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Seur-Chong you really didn’t have to.” Myung-Ho said looking at the new vase that Seur-Chong had given him.

“Oh but I wanted too.” Smiled his at partner.

“Thank you.” There was a long awkward pause. Neither knew what to say. “Well I better go put this in my room. I will see you later.”

As Myung-Ho left the room all Seur-Chong could do was stare at the doorway where his friend had left.

/He hates it. / Thought Seur-Chong sadly. /Why didn’t I get him a book? What was I thinking?/ Knowing that it was no use deleing on the pat he went to the roof to think about getting Myung-Ho a better gift.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
/What the hell is going on with Seur-Chong? / Pondered Myung-Ho. This was the fourth gift that he had received from him. First he had received a new bath kit complete with sandalwood scented soap, then ink with paper, followed by an incense burner with sandalwood incense, it boggled his mind as to why he was being showered with gifts. Not that he minded.

Myung-Ho could smell the sandalwood as he entered the room. /It’s not that I don’t appreciate these gifts it’s just/ The dark haired man smiled as he set down the vase./I really didn’t need these things./

But Myung-Ho knew that was not true. His old bath kit had been in need of replacement for quiet sometime, he had ran out of both paper and ink months ago and late one night he knocked into the table causing his incense burner to shatter into a hundred pieces. But the thing that surprised Myung-ho was Seur-Chong’s knowledge of his favorite sent. /I truly do not remember telling him that. Oh well. /

“Big brother! Where are you?” Shouted an excited Aranseur.

He loved hearing his little sister so happy. “I’m in my room.”

In the distance Myung-Ho heard rapid footfall along with a ‘What the hell is it this time,’ from Seur-Chong.

The door slide open reveling a very happy Aranseur and a very angry Seur-Chong. Myung-Ho smiled inwardly. The two people he cared most about couldn’t stand each other. Somehow he found this very amusing.

“Big brother, big brother, I have excellent news.” Aranseur squealed.

“What is the news?” Everyone turned around to see Mong-Yeun. “What, I live here too.”

Aranseur whirled around to her brother “The shamanic council had deiced that you should be brought back to the temple, but this time you will be a teacher.”

Everyone gasped. Mong-Yeun smiled. “Isn’t it wonderful? You should take the offer. Something like this doesn’t come around that often.”

Myung-Ho turned to his best friend who was mysteriously quiet at hearing the news. “That really sounds wonderful but I need to think about this carefully before I make my decision.”

“What are you talking about? This is what you’ve all ways wanted. To go back and work at the temple isn’t?”

Myung-Ho looked deep into Aranseur’s eyes. True at one time he had wanted to go back to the temple but now things were well...different. His life was different. He was different.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As the day ended Seur-Chong found himself on the roof looking at the sunset. But the sunset was the last thing on his mind. /A life without Myung-Ho…I never even imaged it. /

“Mind if I join you?” Snapping out of his thoughts to see Myung-Ho.

“Sure, why not?”

“The sunset’s beautiful isn’t?” Said Myung-Ho. Seur-Chong didn’t respond. A frown graced his face. Never had he seen his friend so miserable. “Seur-Chong, what do you think about me leaving?” There was no answer. “Seur-Chong?”

All he did was look straight ahead where the sun had been minutes earlier.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Myung-Ho Where are you?” All Seur-Chong could see was fog. Seur-Chong called out again. Where could he be?

Suddenly Seur-Chong’s foot hit something soft. It was Myung-Ho!

“Myung-Ho!” As he grabbed his friend, he saw his worst nightmare.

Myung-Ho was covered in bruises, blood was everywhere on him. He wasn’t breathing.

The deep blue haired man’s blood ran cold. “Myung-Ho? Myung-Ho? Myung-Ho! Oh gods please don’t leave. Please!”

“See what you’ve done to him? As long as he’s with you, he will always be in danger.” The voice said.

Seur-Chong shot up. “Who are you? Did you do this to him? Come out to face me!”

The voice laughed. “Me? Was I the one who lead him to the water dragon? Or to Shi-La. Remember?”

Seur-Chong did remember. He remembered how he was the cause of all of Myung-Ho’s pain. /As long as Myung-Ho is near me this could happen. I can’t let this happen./

Sweat dripped from his face as he shot up from his disturbing sleep. He couldn’t let that happen. No matter what it would do to his heart.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Mr. Seur-Chong, where were you? Your breakfast is getting cold.” Mong-Yeun scolded.

Their eyes meet. Quickly she regretted being harsh. She could tell from the look in his eyes that he had a great deal on his mind.

Myung-Ho sat at the table picking at his food. He had thought about it all night and still had no answer.

“Mr. Myung-Ho, why aren’t you eating?” Asked a concerned Mong-Yeun.

Looking up to see Seur-Chong his face brighted, “Good morning Seur-Chong. Did you sleep well?” Chirped the younger.

Scratching his head Seur-Chong knew that it was now or never. “Myung-Ho. I want you to take that job!”
