Disclaimer: Yea…I don’t own Weiss or Schwarz…so…yea…that’s
why this is “fan” fiction.
Authors Note: I have a phobia of writing a story very
similar to someone else without knowing it…so if this becomes the case then
forgive me, but hey, nobody has an original idea.

“Again, Only Faster.”
“That’s right…Ken, Omi…Yohji…we’ll go…and be
together…forever…” The weight of Aya’s body leaned against the bulk of the
trashcan; his vision focusing in and out. Was this the end? He had fought and
defeated every mission Persia had thrown at him and now he was going to be
taken out by a punk kid who wasn’t even old enough to shave?
One by one people passed him, not even giving a second
sideways glance. He looked like any other bum hoarding trashcans for a daily
meal or pausing to take a rest. Aya was surprised the expensive leather jacket
didn’t send a different message; one of distress.
Slowly Aya’s vision began to fade and he began to think. ‘When
I thought of death…I never though about what I would want to say to my maker
before I met him… Now I guess all that’s left to say…is…” And he could
comprehend no more as his thoughts ceased and his head bowed, forehead against
the cold metal.
Chapter one: Am I Dead, Angel?
The snow fell silently upon the streets. To think that a
life could be lost without struggle or strife is useless. Everyone would like
to believe someone would fight for them. Nobody fought for Fujimiya Ran, not
since Weiss has dismembered. Ran had always been the strong, Papa of the group and
always felt it was his duty to watch and protect the other members of Weiss.
Izumi Sena had believed death and war could cease…and he was
killed by his own mother… And Ayami Sensei believed in her heart that it was
the duty of the teachers to protect their students…and she was killed by a
fellow teacher. Where did the death end? Where was the soothing numbness after
the pain of a wound? Why did it continue to throb?
Aya opened his eyes slowly. Why was it so dark? A gentle
monotonous beeping caught his attention once his vision focused. He sat up
slowly and winced clutching at the left of his abdomen where there had once
been a large blade was now a skillfully placed bandage.
He glanced around the room a moment and realized it was a
hospital room. ‘How the hell…?’ He thought to himself recapping the
events and clearly recalled dieing out in the street.
“Oh! You’re awake!” A young nurse came into the room; Aya
being too lost in confusion didn’t notice her until now.
“Uh…Yes…” The nurse walked closer to the bed and began to
examine him. He kept his eyes on her a moment, the loss of blood caused him to
become light headed and looking around the room required too much
concentration.
“Well, the doctor stitched up your wound very well. It will
heal nicely, yet you will more than likely have a scar.” The nurse wanted to
press the question of how he managed to have a large knife lodged into his gut,
but on the thought of etiquette she refrained.
“My name is Kudou, Asuka.” She smiled. Aya’s attention was
immediately focused upon the young woman; he supposed his expression couldn’t
be mistaken by the look she gave him in return. He let his expression fade and
his gaze to fall to his lap.
“Fujimiya Ran…” He replied in a low voice.
“Let me know if there is anything I can get for you,
Fujimiya-san.” She assured retrieving the clip board from the edge of the bed
and proceeded to the exit.
“Kudou-san…” It sounded strange even to himself, it wasn’t
Yohji before him, it was a little nurse woman named Asuka. She paused and
turned back to him, placing her free hand on the door frame. Aya had to take a
moment to remember his question. “How did I get here?”
Asuka smiled gently. “A boy.” class=GramE>‘A boy?’ Aya’s mind repeated.
“What boy?” He inquired further. “Did he say who he was?”
“Well, I wasn’t the one who spoke with him, but apparently
the boy didn’t speak at all…besides the little information we needed to treat
you.” Asuka seemed to be recalling previous conversations she might have had
with other nurses who first came upon Aya in his state.
“Yes, but did he leave a name? Any detail that might
identify him…?” Aya never lost his eternal calm as he waited for Asuka to
answer his question. There was a moment of silence between them before she came
to a revelation.
“Ah, yes! I believe one of the nurses said when she
questioned the boy on who he was and his relationship with you, he simply said
‘Nagi’ and left the hospital.”
